The interview was conducted by [nation]Kkorea[/nation]. Naughty words are censored if present. Editor's notes are enclosed between [].
Interview with Agausia 1) Q: What’s your history in Europe, what experiences have you had? A: Overall, I have been an active resident of Europe for over 3 years. As for my experience, I've had the privilege of serving as 2nd Commissioner, during which I worked to promote nation-building and creativity through initiatives like polls focused on nation lore, Factbook exhibits, and encouraging discussions on the RMB. These activities have helped to foster engagement and bring nations together. 2) Q: What made you decide to run for commissioner this season? I’m running again because of the success and enthusiasm surrounding my previous efforts to boost creativity in the region. In short, I want to build on that momentum. I also want to use my power as a commissioner to help boost engagement in future exhibits. 3) Q: If you win, what are your plans for your term as commissioner? A: I plan to keep working with the other commissioners in the regional poll contests and judging. I will also continue to transform and improving the exhibits, thanks to the plentiful input from the community. Of course I will fulfil all aspects of my position as well. 4) Q: What problems do you see in the region and what solutions do you propose? A: A challenge is keeping engagement high, particularly in creative nation-building. My solution is to continue incentivizing activity through regular polls, contests, and promoting creativity on the RMB. 5) Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the rest of the candidates? A: My focus on nation lore, creative Factbook contests, and stimulating discussion has set me apart. I’m passionate about bringing nations together through storytelling and creativity, and I’ve already built strong momentum in these areas that I’m super excited to continue! 6) Q: Do you see yourself running again in the near future? A: Yes, I could see myself running again if there is still support and excitement. I’m committed to making the region more vibrant and engaging, and as long as I can contribute to that, I’ll keep doing so!
Interview with Burvenchkaht 1) Q: What’s your history in Europe, what experiences have you had? A: Well, I don't have much of a history with Europe other than being in it and talking on the RMB and Discord server. I came to Europe in... what, 2021? (I really cannot remember; It's hard to remember anything that happened during covid, since it all just blended in together) And the region just kinda... stuck with me (Or to be grammatically correct, I stuck with the region, although if the region didn't stick with me I would've left). As for my experiences here, the community is really the only experience I have with Europe, and that's good enough for me. 2) Q: What made you decide to run for commissioner this season? A: For Auld Lang Syne. I remembered the days where I would run in every election, hoping people would vote for me if they saw my name enough times in the ballots (and from what I figure... I think it kinda worked with the last one I was in). I remembered those days and thought "Hey that's funny... pretty stupid too but it's weirdly funny", so I decided to go again. 3) Q: If you win, what are your plans for your term as commissioner? Well I don't have as much to offer as the other candidates... maybe discuss the creation of a Vexillology channel on the server with the cabinet... maybe even a voice chat, but I doubt that'll get far. Oh, and an unspecified number of polls, I guess. 4) Q: What problems do you see in the region and what solutions do you propose? A: I don't really have a bone to pick with anything in this region, and the small insignificant things I do mind aren't worth rectifying (either because it would change nothing or it would make someone mad.) 5) Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the rest of the candidates? A: My sheer lack of promises; experience, and professionality. 6) Q: Do you see yourself running again in the near future? A: Depends on how I'm feeling next month
Interview with Ferrra 1) Q: What’s your history in Europe, what experiences have you had? A: I have experience in debating with other European nations, I have had a conversation with more powerful nations and influential nations, I have built some strong alliances and friendships with many nations in europe. 2) Q: What made you decide to run for commissioner this season? A: My allies and friends all supported the idea of me as commissioner so I thought that I had alot of support! 3) Q: If you win, what are your plans for your term as commissioner? A: I plan on 4) Q: What problems do you see in the region and what solutions do you propose? A: Europe is amazing and absolutely unique in all of its aspects, i see very little problems in Europe, but if anyone has a issue I will be absolutely happy to fix it! 5) Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the rest of the candidates? A: I am less influential and powerful, this makes me more eligible to understand other nations with less influence. 6) Q: Do you see yourself running again in the near future? A: Maybe, but not as commissioner If I choose to run again it will be a higher position. [Fixed some punctuation errors.]
Interview with St Scarlett 1) Q: What’s your history in Europe, what experiences have you had? A: I joined NS in February 2018 as Aelyzia and immediately was drawn to NS Europe due to its lively community. I remained in NS Europe as Chile and Venezuela and by April 2018 I had created St Scarlett. St Scarlett has remained in the region since the day of its founding and I have no intention of ever moving on. In late 2018 I decided to run for what was then First Deputy Commissioner and to my surprise I won, becoming the second ever person to hold the position. I would then run for re-election whenever I could, remaining in the position until term limits were introduced and I was forced to stop. Despite this I have continued to run whenever I have been able and have delivered countless fun polls (including starting the trend of polls that allow us to share our NS nation’s lore with ‘What Climate is your NS nation in 2019) and have been a fair and just moderator, usually vouching for people who I feel have just made a simple error, while also working hard to remove those who refuse to follow our rules despite countless warnings, thus ruining the experience for everyone else. I have been a member of the Foreign Office since 2018 when I was the ambassador to the East Pacific until they closed our embassy with us and am currently the ambassador to Spiritus and the Undersecretary to our Foreign Secretary Nardin. I am also a member of the Home Office and have been for a number of years, allowing me to give input on how our region is run and to help moderate it to keep troublemakers at bay. Through my time in the region I have experienced a great deal, including the betrayal of EuroFounder when he closed our embassy with Europeia and appointed Forgotton Warriors as an unelected Commisar, the Aweland, ESA and British Calradia controversies, the Jim the Baptist/Deng Mohammed uprising against IA, the Tabby Cats Raid and the more recent February Raid which saw our region’s population reduced by 50%. Throughout all these events I have stood firmly on the side of Europe and its peace-loving members who seek only a community to be a part of. I did whatever I could to help reduce the threats and to restore Europe to its former glory. 2) Q: What made you decide to run for commissioner this season? A: As I stated in my previous answer, I have always run for this position when I can, partially out of tradition but mostly out of a love for getting to be a more active part of our community and being able to help moderate it to keep it a pleasant place for all to inhabit. 3) Q: If you win, what are your plans for your term as commissioner? A: If I win I will take up the position I held previously, acting as a fair and just moderator as a part of ModComm and trying to keep our region a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy, by helping to deal with spammers and trolls. I also hope to come up with new poll ideas, most likely related to NS lore but also some more general questions. In particular I’m interested in re-doing some past polls to give a whole new generation of NS Europeans a chance to answer and for older generations to update their answers and show how they have changed over the years. 4) Q: What problems do you see in the region and what solutions do you propose? A: Spam unfortunately seems to be the biggest issue affecting our region currently, this is inevitable as we get an influx of new players who aren’t familiar with our rules, especially after efforts to regain our population following the February Raid. I would propose that we continue to welcome new nations by sharing our rules with them as soon as they arrive, perhaps a bigger effort could be made to do a bulk post or dispatch tagging multiple new nations who have joined to ensure they are familiar with our rules, I believe this is something that we used to do and some other regions still do consistently. Additionally we can continue to deploy effective moderation via ModComm and the suppression powers held by Imperium Anglorum, Nardin, Regnum Italiae and the New Nordic Union. There has also been some hostility towards newer players, largely due to a perception they will cause trouble, this should be reduced if possible as a large number of new players have proven themselves quite quickly to be valuable members of our community, even taking up positions as regional officers and government officials and this should not be discouraged. We should continue to include them where possible and shouldn’t assume the worst of them based on initial impressions or a few rules broken out of genuine error. I will also continue to stand up for nations who have made simple mistakes if they reach ModComm, I will be willing to hear them out and see the case from their perspective, and will not let my status as a veteran member of the community affect my judgement of them. 5) Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the rest of the candidates? A: My experience with the position would be my defining characteristic and sets me apart from the other candidates. It’s been 6 years since I first held the position of Commissioner, I have held every position on the Commission (Commissioner, First Commissioner and Second Commissioner) and have wracked up more days in office than any other nation in our region, even being bestowed with the nickname ‘the Eternal Commissioner’ by my fellow Europeans. As a result I know the Commission inside and out and had the pleasure of working with countless different Commissioner teams and getting to experience their different views and approaches, allowing me to expand my own. This has also given me a lot of experience as a moderator of our region, as a part of many different ModComma, and enhances my ability to work within both the Foreign and Home Offices. 6) Q: Do you see yourself running again in the near future? A: I will very likely continue to run in the future. I have done this continuously for many years now and haven’t lost my appetite for working with the Commission. [Fixed some punctuation errors.]
Interview with X Country 1) Q: What’s your history in Europe, what experiences have you had? A: My history in Europe has been 3/4 of my NS lifetime. My main experience in Europe has to be the 2/11/24 event... 2) Q: What made you decide to run for commissioner this season? A: I really do want to win as commissioner, so I can incorporate my ideas and combine them with the others. 3) Q: If you win, what are your plans for your term as commissioner? A: As stated, I want to combine my ideas with the others to get the best possible polls for Europe. 4) Q: What problems do you see in the region and what solutions do you propose? A: The problems I see are the constant spammers and yappers in the RMB. There are many people who don't seem to understand the rules. The solution may be that we have a line of people to be on at different times to either take care of or alert the Europe Mods. 5) Q: What do you think makes you stand out from the rest of the candidates? A: I am a known person for my different events I have or want to have, and that could be what makes me stand out. 6) Q: Do you see yourself running again in the near future? A: 200% yes because I really do want to win so I can tell the one who introduced me to NS that my first nation became a role in the or one of the most influential region
The script was manually compiled.
