Vredan
The Kingdom of Vredan is an absolute monarchy located on the Southwestern end of the continent of Pirema. It shares borders with the kingdoms of Gordenis, Chiromach, and Keralton and is bordered by the Pelotic Ocean in the South and the Trechis mountain range to the North.

The climate within Vredan varies greatly depending on the location, with the lower lying plains experiencing a warmer Mediterranean climate while the territories in the in the Trechis to the North have a much cooler, more snowy climate. The many rivers that flow from these mountains make the plains below an extremely fertile region ideal for farming and large cities, including the Kingdom's capital city of Duromberg.

History
Vredan was formed approximately 350 years ago, however the exact nature of its founding and much of the history of the region beforehand has since been lost to time and forgotten. It is however known that the capital: Duromberg predates the Kingdom of Vredan by centuries and many legends surrounding its creation exist, many speak of the occurrence of a great calamity some 500 years ago that would lead to its founding. As of today, the current royal family, The Belmeis have been in power for 157 years and under their benevolent rule and guidance, the Kingdom of Vredan as flourished and prospered in terms of economy and innovation.

Magic within the Kingdom
Vredan exists in a world where concepts like magic, spirits(commonly referred to as Sephics), and monsters are real, prevalent, and play a major role in societies around the world. Magic and its many uses, combined with skilled practitioners allow for things that would've otherwise been extremely difficult if not impossible to achieve using purely scientific means.

That isn't to say science plays no role in Vredan. Both science, magic, and their respective fields of study often go hand in hand to create a fine blend between magic and technology which forms the backbone of numerous industries in Vredan such as construction, engineering, and the military. As a result, the technological level of the nation can seem confusing and inconsistent from a non-magical(real world) point of view, in some places resembling that from that 1500s such as the use of wooden sailboats, cannons, and rudimentary firearms; while in others it will have functions and capabilities similar to that of modern or even future technology like with Sunships and Shield generators.

Religion and Culture
While there is an official separation between Church and State, religion still holds considerable influence in almost every aspect of the nation, with roughly 89% of Vredanians adhering to Myritany. Followers of this faith, known as Myrites believe that Sephics are fragments and servants to Supreme Being known as Myr, the creator of all things.

Even from a non-religious standpoint, Sephics are still revered and treated with respect by all and depending on who you ask, a Sephic revealing its presence to you is either a bad omen or a sign of good things to come. In fact, sightings of Sephics and their various forms have been the inspiration for many artworks and art styles throughout known history.
