The [b]New Aceh Committee[/b] ([b]NAC[/b], also known as [b]Panitia Aceh Baro[/b]) is a right-wing revolutionary group, society, and political party in Aceh. Since the 2001 Acehnese Coup D'etat it has been the sole ruling party in the Acehnese National Assembly and the dominant political force since the Declaration of 22nd December. The NAC was founded by three Viziers (equivalent to Ministers) — Internal Affairs, Navy, and War — and thus have considerable amount of control of the Acehnese Imperial Armed Forces, especially in the Army and Navy. The NAC is the largest party represented in The Acehnese National Assembly and coexists with two other legal parties that are completely subservient to the NAC, these parties are; The Acehnese Ulama Union and the Royalist. The only other legal assembly in Aceh is The Realm Assembly.
