The Capitol of the DSA

This is the seat of the regional government of the Democratic Socialist Assembly, called the Cabinet of the Assembly. An overview of the current positions can be found under 'the Cabinet of the Assembly'. The capitol of this region symbolizes its heart and is, appropriately, located in the centre of our regional map. The daily presence and individual offices of the Cabinet of the Assembly can be found in our regional forums.

The Capitol may not partake in regional politics, as it is not seen as an individual member of Congress. It was established as a practical solution to the increasing demands of the regional government and the needs of the region to have more ways to access its government. The Capitol, like all residents of the DSA, is subject to the binding laws established in our region's ruling Charter, the supreme constitutional document of the region.

The flag of the Capitol contains the rose which is at the centre of the regional flag. The red lines and the ring symbolize the unity of our member nations, having comrades in all corners of the world. "Democracy, Equality, Solidarity, Freedom", the current motto of the City State, is the same as the motto of the Assembly as a whole and refers to the principles on which the Assembly was founded. "Sedem Legitima Imperio", the former motto, means "the Seat of the Rightful Government", being bound by the rules of the Charter and always elected democratically. This motto reminds us all of the importance of democracy and makes the regional government strive to improve the democratic process in our region as well as others wherever possible.

The secondary, but most visible function of the Capitol, is that of a portal and database of present and past matters of significance to the region. The Capitol is a city-state that is under the control of the Cabinet, in the care of the Secretary General. The caretaker keeps the Factbook of the Capitol updated and accurate to the greatest extent possible. The caretaker manages the political issues faced by the Capitol based upon the guiding principles of the rule of the Charter.
