Treaty of Neo Paulo

Treaty of Peace between the Allied Coalition and Alhussieny



THE EMPIRE OF DRAECOVIA, THE HOLY EMPIRE OF SPHENITOPIA, THE COMMONWEALTH OF AMAZONAS DESERT, THE CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY OF LAND OF VAE, AND THE MATRIARCHY OF CASTELOBRUXO,

These States being described in the present Treaty as the chief Allied States of the one part;

And ALHUSSIENY on the other part;

BEARING IN MIND that on the request of the Caliphal Alhussienyian government a ceasefire was agreed on 15 May 2016 to Alhussieny by the Allied States in order that a Treaty of Peace might be concluded with them, and

THE ALLIED STATES being equally desirous that the war in which they were successfully involved directly or indirectly and which originated in the declaration of war by Draecovia on 13 May 2016 and the invasion of Alhussieny, should be replaced with a firm and durable peace;

FOR THIS PURPOSE the High Contracting Parties are represented as follows:

His Majesty the Emperor of Draecovia, by:
The Mighty Emperor Robin XXVIII, acting in his own name and by his proper authority;

His Majesty the King of Land of vae, by:
The Honourable King Linus, Rightful ruler, eradicator of Brasilistan, king of the Öllsjöians and the Skepparlövians, crusher of the Kristianstadbor and liberator of the Skåneland;

The Prime Minister of the Amazonas desert, by:
The Free Prime Minister Echo Sierra November, Host and acting mediator between the Allied States and Alhussieny;

The Protector of Women and Upholder of the Matriarchy of Castelobruxo, by:
The Most Matriarchal Supreme Leader Elin;

His Holy Majesty the Emperor of Sphenitopia:
The Revered Holy Emperor and All-Father Simon; and

Alhussieny, by:
Caliph Aba Huraira.

Part I. Political Clauses for Intarctica

Article 1

  1. That there shall be a Universal Peace, and a perpetual, true, and sincere Amity, between his Imperial Majesty, and his Caliphal Majesty; as also, between all and each of the Allies, and Adherents of his said Imperial Majesty, the House of Draecovia, and its Heirs, and Successors; but chiefly between the Electors and States of the Empire on the one side; and all and each of the Allies of his said Caliphal Majesty, and all their Heirs and Successors, chiefly between the most Serene King and Kingdom of Land of Vae, the Electors respectively, the Electors and States of the Empire, on the other part. That this Peace and Amity be observed and cultivated with such a Sincerity and Zeal, that each Party shall endeavour to procure the Benefit, Honour and Advantage of the other; that thus on all sides they may see this Peace and Friendship in the Draecovian Empire, and the Caliphate of Alhussieny flourish, by entertaining a good and faithful Neighbourhood.

Article 2

  1. And that a reciprocal Amity between the Emperor, and the Caliph, the Electors and States of the Empire, may be maintained so much the more firm and sincere the one shall never assist the present or future Enemies of the other under any Title or Pretence whatsoever, either with arms, money, soldiers, or any sort of ammunition; nor no one, who is a Member of this Treaty, shall suffer any Enemies' Troops to retire through or sojourn in his Country.

  2. According to this foundation of reciprocal Amity, and a general Amnesty, all and every one of the Electors of the Glorious Draecovian Empire, the States, therein comprehending the Imperial Vassals, which depend immediately on the Empire, their Subjects, Citizens, and Inhabitants shall be fully reinstated on the one side and the other, in the State, which they enjoyed, or could lawfully enjoy, notwithstanding any Alterations, which have been made in the meantime to the contrary.

Part II. Military, Naval, and Air Clauses

Article 1

  1. The Alhussienyian military forces shall be demobilised and reduced as prescribed hereinafter.

Article 2

  1. By a date which must not be later than 13 June 2016, the Alhussienyian Army must not comprise more than seven divisions of infantry and three divisions of artillery.

  2. After that date the total number of effectives in the Army of the States constituting Alhussieny must not exceed one hundred thousand men, including officers and establishments of depots. The Army shall be devoted exclusively to the maintenance of order within the territory and to the control of the frontiers.

  3. The total effective strength of officers, including the personnel of staffs, whatever their composition, must not exceed four thousand.

Article 3

  1. Alhussieny shall refrain from ever constructing a navy should they ever gain control of any large body of water.

Article 4

  1. The Alhussienyian Armed Forces must not include any military or naval air forces.

  2. During all time following the coming into force of the present Treaty, the manufacture and importation of aircraft, parts of aircraft, engines for aircraft, and parts of engines for aircraft, shall be forbidden in all Alhussienyian territory.

Article 5

  1. Universal compulsory military service shall be abolished in Alhussieny.

  2. The Alhussienyian Army may only be constituted and recruited by means of voluntary enlistment.

Part III. Religious Clauses

Article 1

  1. No citizen or inhabitant of Alhussieny shall be subjected to follow any particular Faith.

Article 2

  1. The national religion of Alhussieny is understood to be endemic to said State, and as such will remain the national religion of the aforementioned State.

  2. Any attempts to forcefully or aggressively spread said Faith outside the legally recognised borders of Alhussieny is hereby deemed illegal by virtue of this Treaty.

  3. Any attempts to spread the said Faith inside Alhussieny proper is restricted by Part III, Article 3 (1) of this Treaty.

Article 3

  1. The government of Alhussieny shall not with force demand any of its rightful citizens or citizens belonging to a foreign or Allied Power follow a particular religion.

  2. The Alhussienyian government shall not judicially nor extrajudicially carry out any executions or ritual sacrifices on the basis of religious motivation.

Article 4

  1. Lords and servants of Alhussieny are free to practice their avowed Faith, but are bound by this Treaty to not impose said Faith on their subjects, as stated in Part III, Article 3 (1) of this Treaty.


THE PRESENT TREATY, of which the English text is authentic, shall be ratified.

The deposit of ratifications shall be made at Neo Paulo as soon as possible.

DONE at Neo Paulo, the Twenty-eighth day of May, Two Thousand and Sixteen, in a single copy which will remain deposited in the archives of the Amazonian Desert, and of which authenticated copies will be transmitted to each of the Signatory Powers.
