Government of the Atlae Isles

The Atlae Isles is a Triarchy, but not the Triarchy in the sense of the executive branch, the legislative branch, or the judicial branch. The Atlantic Triarchy consists of three institutions representing the different islands of the Atlae Isles. But remember, the Triarchy is not a triumvirate, which is ruled by three people.

The three institutions of the Triarchy is the Constitutional Monarchy, the Federalist Republic, and the United Duchies. The origin of such a system is complicated, involving some war that prompted a new system. Normally, everyone addresses it as the Constitutional Monarchy, because King Calvin the I reigns over all of the Atlae Isles. The reason it's not classified as a constitutional monarchy anymore is because the official form did not have enough space to include both the Triarchy and the Constitutional Monarchy. Don't make this mistake.

The Triarchy meets in Atlaerskoiy, and is part of the executive branch and signs or vetoes laws. Half of the members of the Triarchy are directly elected by the people in their districts, and the other half is elected by the members of the legislative branch.

The legislative branch is made up of two houses, Congress, and Parliament. Congress is represented by the people in population-based districts, and Parliament is represented by every province or island. (Oddly, congressmen are called senators.) They can override the Triarchy's veto.
