Out in the middle of the Arctic Ocean, there is an island, guarded by magic from human satellites and technology. This island is called Morskay Penna. The inhabitants of this island are not what would be considered normal. The centaurs, the fairy-like wisps, the mermaids, the elementals, some nomadic human tribes, and the dragons live here. Each race tends to leave the others alone, but when wars do break out, the warring races are careful to leave the powerful ones, the elementals and dragons out, lest they be destroyed. The dragons are ruled currently by Queen Kalixsa and her mate, Shenkari. (the dragon society is matriarchal, so Shenkari held no real power aside from status) The blue dragons, famed for being the most intelligent of the Colours advised the queen about the humans outside their island, after one such human teenager happened across our home. They told the queen that it would be wise to send young dragonlings to explore the other lands and gather information about the inhabitants. The queen saw the wisdom in this, and decreed that one dragonling of each Colour should stay in each place to gather information about the outside humans. Because the only bronze dragons were the queen, and her two daughters, the eldest princess, Surakilav, or Surak, was sent to learn about the humans inhabiting the land known as “North America”. She went, and assumed a human form, and a new human name, Sarah. She slipped into a human family, after wandering for a long period of time. She soon learned that some of the “humans” in her adopted family were not human after all. One, her “sister” was vampire nobility, and one of her “brothers” was actually a demon emperor that she had met during her wanderings. She decided to learn all she could about the humans she had been assigned to, and even learned a few magicks during her studies, along with her dragon magick.
