The Continental Conclave,

realizing that each and every nation has the right to represent themselves in the International community in whatever manner they choose to,

Believing that every Intarctic nation represents the Continental Conclave and the Intarctic region, and shall therefore uphold a certain veneer,

Deeply disturbed with the outmost repulsiveness of nation flags of some Intarctic nations use in formal international contexts,

Viewing with appreciation the NAVA (North American Vexillological Association) guidelines for flag design, which are as follows:

  1. "Keep it simple",

  2. "Use meaningful symbolism",

  3. "Use two-three basic colours",

  4. "No lettering or seals",

  5. "Be distinctive",

Desiring change as soon as possible for a more visually pleasing Intarctic region,

Convinced that the people of Intarctic nation will find a stronger bond to their own nation if they have a good flag to rally behind,

Confident that the Directorate will call on nations to uphold this resolutions vexillological guidelines,

Observing that the current flag of Intarctica does not follow the guide lines,

1. Notes that only up to three colours may be used when creating a flag, but no less than two and that these are recommended be contrasting;

2. Condemns tridimensional flags, flags with holograms, degrade, photography, watermark, exotic shapes or otherwise inappropriate imagery;

3. Requests Intarctic nations to not use text on flags due to when the flag is reversed the text becomes unreadable;

4. Further requests that flags should be able to be drawn by a child from memory and should be able to distinguish from the backround and 200 meters away, this by:

  1. I. Not using sigils,

  2. II. Putting the details right on center or on the upper left of the flag,

  3. III. Making sure the flag is able to be drawn in a rectangle thats two inces by one inch,

  4. IV. Not using colours that is deemed camouflaging into the backround of whatever the nations climate is; [/font]

    5. Supports nations that shows political and historical ties to other nations, or their own, as long as their flag is not causing confusion, like usage the face of Karl-Gustav Boo on your flag design, which is okay;

    6. Confirms that operative clauses 1-5 will hereafter be named as the Intarctic rules for vexillology;

    7. Calls upon the Directorate to make sure that the rules are followed by the member states of Intarctica by:

    1. By the vote of at least three Directorate members regionally denounce an Intarctic nations flag if they do not follow the Intarctic rules for vexillology,

    2. Making nations with denounced flags pay a monetary fee to nations with acceptable flags,

    3. Openly telling nations with denounced flags what has to be done to make it accepted;

    8. Accepts that the rules are not rigid and that one of the rules can be ignored if it does not reflect in final result; and

    9. Encourages nations to submit through telegrams or other communitation suggestions to replace the current flag of Intarctica.
