The Religion of Bartism
Religion, while severely discouraged and regarded as taboo, is practiced in some niché corners of Dyzistrolux. The religion of Bartism was founded by a group of 7 original settlers, naming it after their prophet, Schteve Hishtenburgouse. It is unknown how this evolved into the name Bartism.The general practice of Bartism is quite simple. Once a day at dawn, practicing citizens must turn east (regardless of the Sun's orientation), squat and flap their arms like fledgeling birds. The official Bartism call sounds close to "SEESKAWAAAA! SEESKAWAAAA! CROOOOOOOO!", imitating the call of the The The, which paradoxically is not a bird at all. These practices are in accordance with the Bartism sacred texts, a single paragraph that says the following:
