National Anthem

Away, away,
Away off we go,
Away off we go to the New World.

We set sail from Bemerhaven,
We watched as she glowed behind,
We looked forward and saw the sea,
And we knew that we'd go beyond.

Our Grand Fleet sailed on,
From the Channel to the Bay of Biscay,
From the Barbary Coast to to the Golden one,
And we knew we had a long way to go.

Away, away,
Away off we go,
Away off we go to the New World.

Our last port of call was Mauritsstad,
The masses there asked where we go,
We told them we followed Leo,
And they just clambered aboard.

From Mauritsstad to the Falklands,
We prayed our way through Magellen's Strait,
Sailed 'tween the Galapagos,
And then it was Mexico.

From Mexico, it was California,
We were aching to land,
But our King commands we go farther on,
and so we sailed on.

We found a River, we called the Columbia,
We knew our journey would end,
We beached ourselves, and made our homes,
And that was where we'd stay.

Away, away,
Away off we went,
Away off we went to a new start.
