A Grand Affair
For centuries the Yazakh name had been shunned, kicked around and degraded, indeed the name was so hated that the Cosmocractic Puppet state that was formed 30-years after the collapse of the last Yazakhastanian Bastion in Artemisian Ireland had completely erased the name Yazakhastanian from their vocabulary, preferring to align themselves with the more nuanced name of Iasacian.

However, during the long downfall of the Yazakh people’s many had sought refuge in Equestria in its Aethent colony, unfortunately with the destruction of the Aethent colony in 2610 the majority of the ethnic Yazakhastanians died out, save for a small group who had moved to the Equestrian homeworld of Ugdur.

This community had fully integrated into Equestrian society and had remained a minority for most of the 25th century, that was until a boom of births and major population began in 2680 when the number of Yazakhs in Equestria shot up from 10,200 to 45,000 between 2680 to 2710.

During this 20-year period from the 80s to the 2710s the Equestrian government had placed two defectionist heirs to the Iasacian-Yazakh throne in charge of a colony on the planet of Ryuten, Napoleon and Theodosius Ivanovich-Dmitrevsky. Although neither tried to start a new Yazakh kingdom as the running of the Equestrian colony had swept the idea out of the minds of both the Equestrians and the Ivanovich family.

However, this would change in 2700, about a year after the ascension of Theodosius and Napoleon to the Governorship of Opeltaag, when Auril the Kazakh wife of Theodosius gave birth to a son, whom they named Shaddam Kairat Ivanovich-Mechtatel. It was initially decided that the child would be the official heir to Theodosius and Napoleon, alongside his adopted brother Thuclides. But, with major political changes occuring in the early 2710s this began to seem a near impossibility with the Equestrian Monarchy beginning to tighten their grip on affairs in Opeltaag.

Now with the Yazakh population steadily growing in Equestria, Archduchess Ophelia would see the perfect opportunity for both her own national expansion, as well as a status raise for the Ivanovich family in Opeltaag. Thus she would grant a Royal Charter to the Ivanovich family for them to colonise a series of systems and to set up a new Yazakhastanian government under the Equestrian state.

The final details would be worked out during a meeting in Opeltaag between Theodosius and Napoleon, who would both agree to Shaddam Kairat Ivanovich-Mechtatel becoming the first ruler of this new client kingdom.

As such the Equestrian armed forces would begin a search operation in the Milkdromedan galaxies Western bounds for systems which could support the client kingdom. Ultimately a swathe of 130 systems would be picked out for the kingdom, However, Ophelia believing such a small size to be unfit for the Ivanovich family who had loyally served Equestria and the Crown for 13-years would order the armed forces to expand that swathe of systems to as large as possible.

Thus almost 340,000 Equestrian fleet ships would begin scans of over 200 systems neighboring the initial 130 systems, carefully choosing those which would be the best suited for habitation and to support the new kingdom. Landing ships would be sent out to those systems which fit the needed requirements and small colonies of 100-500 people would be set up, alongside larger military settlements.

In the meantime Ophelia would set up a special council for the Ivanovich Family, with many prominent Equestrian-Yazakhs being placed on it, the Council would be properly named the Velky-Yazasch Dömmar (Great Yazakh Council) Which would be changed a small bit later to the “State Duma of the Kingdom of Yazakhastan”.

As the preliminary arrangements were made, the final extent of the new client kingdom would be laid out at 400 systems, with the systems being attached to the already present Equestrian systems in Milkdromeda, extending south of them by 8 sectors, thus making the total number of systems held by Equestria in the Milkdromeda Galaxy to 700 systems.

With the preliminary arrangements made, the site for the new capital planet was chosen to be the Koros System, a system of 9 planets, three of which were habitable and the others which were either gas giants or rocky wastelands. Immediately the Equestrian Army Corps of Engineers alongside the State Duma and the Ivanovich family would choose a lush planet which they named Korvaas, setting down on one of the 2 continents, near the great sea of the planet. Ophelia would arrive a few weeks later in order to formally oversee the coronation of the new Prince Shaddam Ivanovich-Mechtatel, who being 11 would be served by a special Regency Council until he turned 18.

The coronation would be a grand affair, taking place in the main square of the small colony of Zlatograd, with almost 8,000 people in attendance. The young prince would be brought before the crowd, where he would swear an oath to protect the citizens of the state, and to serve the Imperator-Aeternus, the Autarch, and the Equestrian Crown with his full heart, soul, and mind. Ophelia then would place the restored Yazakh crown of coronation over his head, declaring, “Hear ye people, behold thy King!”.

Once this was done a formal declaration would be sent to all major Equestrian Embassies and partners, stating.

By the grace of her majesty, the Archduchess Ophelia, Empress of the Sun, Moon, and Stars, Duchess of Corel, Queen of Hammerolke…etc. Etc. The Equestrian government hereby announces the ascension of Prince Shaddam Kairat Ivanovich-Mechtatel of the Equestrian Client Kingdom of Yazakhastan. Henceforth to be styled as his Royal Highness the Grand Prince and Tsar of Yazakhastan and the Eastern Systems.

Copies of the proclamation would be sent to Thrawn as well as Lembas Kant who would read it to the Hegemonic Council during one of its sessions.

Untecnan Support

In the light of greater international support for America, the Untecnan government would open a line of communications with the Ryuten nation, telling them that they would have weapons and supplies on the way to help in their fight.

A small stockpile of lasguns, along with a great amount of rations, basic civilian foods, and other supplies, would be loaded on a shuttle on Ryuten, which would take the supplies to bases near the frontlines against the Wooloosians. The lasguns would have been modified, to remove any indication that they were Untecnan; the food and supplies would not be modified, as they were not deemed worthy enough.
