Brief History
On 15 Mart. AUC 710, Roman Dictator Gaius Julius Caesar miraculously escaped an assassination attempt; he subsequently changed his will and appointed his son by Pharaoh Cleopatra Thea Philopator of Egypt, Ptolemaeus Julius Caesar as his sole heir and successor. After quenching the rebellion led by Brutus and Cassius, Caesar conquered Dacia, Pannonia, Rhaetia and Germanic lands between rivers Rhenus [Rhine] and Albis [Elbe]. Cleopatra also significantly expanded the borders of her kingdom by annexing the Kingdom of Kush and claiming its throne, subjugating the kingdoms of Axome and Nabataea and, later, conquering most of Arabian Peninsula. Ptolemaeus Caesar succeeded his father as Roman Emperor in AUC 733 and his mother as Pharaoh of Egypt in AUC 753; thus the Divine Empire of Rome and Egypt was founded. During his reign, he led several successful military campaigns, adding much of the Northern Europe and parts of North-Western India to his dominion. After his death in AUC 761, the throne passed to his daughter Julia Cleopatra Rhodogyne (a granddaughter of Shahan Shah Phraates IV of Parthia on her mother's side, who ascended to the Parthian throne a few years earlier) and so Romano-Egyptian and Parthian empires were united under a single ruler.

Religion
Residents of the Empire practice a multitude of religious cults. Worship of the deities of Helleno-Italic, Egyptian and Phoenicio-Mesopotamian pantheons is the most prominent. Non-monotheistic forms of Zoroastrianism are widespread in Ariana and the Caucasus and deities of Vedic Hindu pantheon are commonly worshipped in Roman India. Celtic and Germanic cults are popular in Northern Europe. Following the Egyptian pharaonic tradition, the reigning monarch is worshiped as a divinity in flesh. Monotheistic religions that reject deities of other cults are outlawed and followers of such beliefs are harshly persecuted by the Imperial Inquisition.
