(Well, then, here we are. Despite all the Factbooks of Kaniros, I have grown tired of Future Tech. It's time to crank out Alchbyre.)

Holy carolingia, Esrah, The mandalorian warriors, and The Saturnian System

Liannistra stood before the great portal, she took a deep breath and looked back at Lysona Yanoto, Lysona was the guardian of the Portal, after receiving an official letter from the Empress, Lysona had allowed Liannistra alone to pass. Liannistra turned the plates next to the portal and eventually it opened, a new place they had not seen, and as the portal opened, Liannistra touched by the substance that they had built entrance from, it felt like water, but it radiated magic, so much more potent than anything else she had ever felt. She then stepped through to find herself on the other side of the Rift.

The mandalorian warriors

Guard Duty of the Transponder vault was among the most boring duties a mandalorian could have. At the moment it was Parjaks turn, together with four other warriors he was in command of. Behind them was the thick cortosis door to the vault which could withstand basically everything he could think of. Not even concentrated plasma weapons could pierce this metal.
In his mind the real threat would be in front of them, someone or something could attempt to breach the vault from the outside in order to access the Dimensional Transponder but nobody has ever tried so far. The only thing Parjak was worried about were the primordial beasts that lurked these catacombs - Not all of them had been cleared out yet and who knew how many there were left.
Parjak would much rather fight on the front lines than guard the vault and luckily he would be able to leave in a few days. That thought was what kept him going through most of the dark and quiet hours he spent deep underneath the planets surface

Then a sudden crack emitted from inside the vault. Parjak thought he was imagining things but then again until he would hear the ominous sound of the transponder activating. He could see a bright light coming from inside through the slits at the door hinges and he signaled his men to get ready for whatever may have entered their world.

Liannistra stepped forward she looked at the gate and felt the metal This metal, is it... Cortosis? Not as strong as Quantum Crystalline armour, but I should be able to bust through it if I need to, but first. She knocked lightly on the door and said "If you like this door, you should probably open it, I don't want to expend power to break down a cortosis door." she said, hoping the people on the other side could hear and understand her. She used the basic language as it seemed that most people understand it, looking through her weapons she noticed her trusty plasma sabre pike and a few MTG-272 Detonators, a form of Grenade. If she were to detonate it here, it would kill her, but she could plant it and jump into the portal and come back, in case her magic wouldn't work.

The mandalorian warriors

"Identify yourself first." Parjak replied while one of his men tried to call for reinforcements
"And I suggest you be very careful, a wrong move and you'll be stuck here forever." He added.

The controls to open the vault were right next to him and he technically had the authority to use them but considering he was never told what to do when someone from the other side arrives he was hesitant.

Liannistra looked back at the portal, "You mean except just going back the way I came?" she sighed.

"My name is Liannistra Kalbarian, I'm the Royal Godslayer, Blade of the Empress, member of the Emperor's hand under the command of The High Arcanist, Emperor Kyrenaz Nelthro Kanir the Eternal, of the Resurgent Eternal Imperium," she said,

Liannistra gave her full introduction, even though she knew that none of what she said would hold any meaning to the ones on the other side of the gate. They likely didn't know about Shydes and considering they were still alive; the Vounra had not been here either.

What was once Antarctica has been turned into a lush green paradise, a heavily mutated paradise. It became occupied by the Horde of Chaos a group of people who became dedicated to spread independence, individuality, and ultimately chaos everywhere they go. The used arcane techniques long forgotten by mortals to open portals though unknown to the Witches of Chaos these portals did not go to wear one would expect the destination unknown.

High Magistra Valeria ordered Disciple Andrew the only male among the Witches and the son of the Lord of Chaos to be the first to step through the portal.

Kaniros wrote:

"Never heard any of it but then again, you did come from another Dimension, eh?" He said and paused
"Mind telling us your intentions? I have orders to view every approach as an attack and somehow I doubt this door will hold you forever... "
One of his men then told Parjak that reinforcements would be on the way but it would take another couple of hours until they would arrive. Until then, they were on their own.

"Every approach is an attack? Do you point your gun on everyone who knocks on the door of your home too?" she seemed to compare the act of visiting another dimension to the act of visiting a friend.
"Very well, then. I came here to explore; my masters prefer to know what kind of universes surround us as well as whether they are hostile or not." Liannistra stated "I'm not exactly planning on blowing up your door, even though I could. I'd rather not do anything that may be viewed as an act of war."

The mandalorian warriors

"This isn't anyone's home, this is a deep core prison so forgive us for being a little jumpy. This place isn't exactly hospitable." He explained
"If you're here to explore however you came at a bad time, we dont really have the resources to give a stranger a tour of our galaxy."

"I didn't mean that THIS was your home, but it doesn't matter. Half the fun of exploring is not knowing where you end up, so I honestly don't need a guide," she said. this gate is getting tiresome she thought to herself as she looked it over.

She tried to use a spell to cause a small fire to appear above her finger, similar to a candle to see if her mana would feel different or if this universe changed the effects of magic in any significant manner.

The mandalorian warriors

For a short while there was no reply. Parjak was discussing with his men what to do next as they hadn't been briefed on what to do in such a situation. Their planning was however cut short by a deep and long growl that echoed through the prisons corridors. The Mandalorians turned around and stared into the darkness, something was there and it was coming closer.
"Hey uh... Liannatra was it? We've got some company on our end and are willing to open the vault if you help us. I trust you can hold your own in a fight." he said, readying his weapons, aiming at the dark hallway

Liannistra laughed "Well, It wasn't for nothing that I was named, The Blade of the Empress." she equipped her plasma sabre pike, it extended into a staff and switched on with a plasma blade comping out the top. "Fine then, open the door, and I'll deal with your problem," she said.

The mandalorian warriors

"Gladly." Parjak replied and with a push of a few buttons the massive cortosis gate opened. The Mandalorians had already taken up battle positions and were awaiting their foe. Parjak turned around to greet their new ally, two heavy blaster pistols in hand and a rifle strapped to his back. His red and white armour stood out a little in the gloomy hallway, especally since all his comrades were equipped with darker armour.
By now one could hear slow but heavy footsteps echoing from the walls as something massive was approaching their position.
"Seems to be a class 4 Primordial..." Parjak remarked, now completely focused
"Meaning conventional weapons won't pierce its hide... "He added
Then another growl and the footsteps became lounder and more frequent - the Beast must have picked up their trail

Liannistra was visibly much smaller than the Mandalorians, reaching just to their shoulders in height, but she didn't seem to care or even be intimidated by their height or weapons, she spun her sabre pike. "I don't know what abilities exist in this universe, but I guess I'll try the force first," she said, her hands became coated in electricity, the electricity then ran up through her pike, this was an application of force lightning.

She glanced at the Mandalorians They look like Ahndarii warriors. she thought, then sprinted forward towards where the beast was supposedly coming from, determined to show them what it means to be the Blade of the Empress.

Then in the darkness a pair of glowing red eyes appeard and the came closer. Out of the shadow a massive primordial Terentatek appeard which steadily came closer.

The Beast came to a halt just a few meters in front of Liannistra and bellowed at her in a terrifying manner. Its tusk seemed to be imbued with something as they glowed in purple manner with fog like mist emitting from them.
"Strike before it has a chance to attack!" Parjak shouted and together with his men he opened fire at the beast. Their blaster fire didn't seem to harm the beast at all but it threw it off balance for a short time which would give their new ally more than enough time to strike

Liannistra didn't even flinch as the Terentatek came into view, a grin formed across her face, and with a final step, she kicked off the ground jumping up high.

As she came down, she spun the pike, directing its blade down towards the beast's head, she put all the momentum from the jump behind her strike.

The pike head penetrated deep into the Terentatek's skull; it roared as it collapsed and fell onto the ground.

Liannistra pulled the pike out and returned it to it's shorter version and placed it on her belt; it appeared to be very similar to a lightsaber.

Liannistra looked back at the Mandalorians "I was under the impression that my species created alchemy and the alchemical beasts, but seeing as they exist here too. I guess more people than us had the same ideas." she said as her tail swayed from side to side behind her.

The mandalorian warriors

Parjak shrugged "Don't ask me, I have no idea where they come from. I don't think anyone knows. "
In the meantime his men proceeded to set the beasts corpse on fire and burn its remains.
"Try not to breathe in the smoke of the fire, it might turn in you insane." Parjak advised Liannistra as he stepped over it. He then lit up the corridor using his helmet mounted flashlight to check for more hostiles.
"The way seems to be clear for now... We'd better move now." he said and turned to the others again. "Sym, lock the vault, we're leaving." he ordered one of his men

"I honestly doubt it." she said as her biological data was quite different from humans, Liannistra folded her hands on her back and looked at Parjak "Earlier, you wanted to confirm my name as Liannistra, but it's pretty long so feel free to call me Lia," she said and followed the Mandalorian warrior. "So, where are you taking me?" she asked, from previous experiences this was the part where the Mandalorians would lead her to their leader, but it was always possible that the Mandalorians had something else in mind.

It had been roughly 65 years since Alchbyre, and the rift became connected. in that time Alchbyre's territories had changed, they had lost ground to smaller kingdoms and rising empires, but the emperor had expected as much.

The empire of Alchbyre was vast, the land they held was far too much for the number of people that lived in it, but they had managed to hold back their enemy forces for the last decades, through a few truces they were able to end the wars.

Besides, the world had more significant problems now, multiple portals of various sizes had appeared across the planet, the rift seemed to be a fracture in space-time, it had become common knowledge, although the destination, the other end of this breach was unknown, all but the bravest of heroes stayed far away from them.

Kaniros wrote:

"Lia hm? Alright, sounds good. Well first of all we're getting out of here, this place is not safe." He said started moving carefully, checking every corner for possible threats.
"So, what are you? You're not human but you're not a species I've seen before either." He asked on the way
"And I've seen a lot." He added

Lia looked at him "No, I'm definitively not human. Humans went extinct some millennia ago in my universe. No, I'm a Shyde, we're described as the most peaceful race in the universe; at the same time, we also represent the greatest military power. I'm not surprised you've never seen my kind, even if Shydes exist in this universe they won't come to you, you'd have to come to them." she said

"Through all the millennia that my race has existed, we stayed at the sidelines, watching the other races slowly evolve from animals to primitive lifeforms, and often into humanoid shapes, we didn't make our presence known until space and time were, shattered."

The mandalorian warriors

He listened to her but wasn't all to impressed with what she had to say.
"You're not the first species we've encountered that was mighty full of themselves and so far we crushed them all underfoot." he remarked.
"See these walls, the vaults? Built buy some ancient civilization with a massive god complex - they're more or less extinct now." he said as they kept walking through the dark corridors.
"No offense but in my experience those who are that proud and confident usually fall the easiest." he added.
"But who am I to judge, you seem to be capable - maybe there's more to you."

"All I said was that we had the greatest military power, we had no choice but to build when our universe was invaded by another universe, a universe of evil shydes, that we call Vounra. They had managed to extinguish life in their universe and came to ours to find a new home, their mindless slaughter continued and we almost lost the war until our emperor gave everyone courage through his speech and charged headfirst into battle. That was... About 86 years ago now." Liannistra said "That emperor, is Emperor Kyrenaz Nelthro Kanir. And he, is the mightiest being in the universe. His resurrected daughter is the one who rules the universe, while he himself ascended to godhood." she said, she wasn't trying to impress, and was only giving a history lesson, the way the Emperor's hand saw it.

The mandalorian warriors

"Must've been one hell of a charismatic guy of he could turn the tide of a war with one speech." Parjak remarked somewhat jokingly
"While not nearly as epic an tale as yours, we too have our share of wars at the moment. We'll give you a full situation briefing once we reach our outpost on the surface - until then, anyone who doesn't wear a helmet with this kind of visor will probably try to kill you." He explained and tapped himself on the T-shaped visor to show her what he meant.
