We are part of the three original science high schools in the Philippines, also known as "The Big Three". We're the 3rd oldest science high school in the country, being established in 1967, and there's also Philippine Science High School, the best of all science high schools, which was established in 1964 by the Department of Science and Technology and has a satellite campus in every region in the country, while the main campus is located in the National Capital Region, here in Quezon City, just a few kilometres from us, and finally, Manila Science High School, the first and oldest science high in the Philippines established in 1963, because President Ramon Magsaysay envisioned a Science High School in the Philippines in his 1956 State of the Nation Address where he underscored "the great need of stepping up the development of fundamental and applied research in science and technology which has long been neglected."
The entrance exams for science high schools are hard. This year only around 30% of examinees passed here in QCSHS.
I am still sad that despite the spread of science high schools in the country, (54 Science High Schools has been established in the country since 1963!) there are and people becoming more aware of science, a lot of schools recommend students to go the other way around (Catholic school, since our country is majority-Catholic) It hinders the country's way for progress and scientific advancement. As my father said, "Don't follow what your school suggests, religion doesn't improve the country. Focus on science, you will have to go to a science high school."

Something I just want to share.

Very neat! I, for one, appreciate learning that! :)

(Even though I'm in my PhD program now, I was once a geology and history teacher too - I'm going to actually write that down and use those statistics somewhere, I'm sure of it!)

I'm not sure about the number of science high schools that were established since Manila Science's establishment in 1963. And also, I have to correct myself that Philippine Science High School does not have a campus in every region in the country, but they do have one in almost every region.

Why do I keep getting highest tier awards?

Any ideas why the discovery of the CRISPR-Cas9 system did not win the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology this year?

Cure missiles are on the way, Biology!

Hi, Historians and Geologists. I got your nice telegram, and thought I'd send a puppet over to visit your region. Nice place y'all got here!

Hello, is there a way to get more Issues? I'm getting 1 every 2 hours now. :| And I don't really know if there's other stuff to do in this simulation.

I guess this is VERY inactive..

As you'll have found out by now, it tapers down to 1 per 6 hours.
There are plenty of other things that you can do in Nationstates, however, even if you don't move to a more active region. These could include writing issues (preferably drafting in the forum's 'Got Issues?' section), work on WA legislation (in the GA or SC forum, as appropriate), entering international sporting competitions ('NS Sports'), roleplay of other activities (various parts of the forums), and developing details of your nation's history & geography & wildlife (factbooks)...

Lab Mice, have I mentioned before how much I like your motto?

Back. I was really busy especially that we deal with a hard curriculum, especially around this 3rd Year.
Not only did we have to deal with College Algebra (yes, in high school), we also had Advanced Statistics, Robotics I, and Trigonometry throughout the year, Every quarter would deal with a field of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Sciences, divided into four quarters in a year) and we have to polish my research proposal for a defense in January and hopefully get approved so that the study can be conducted next year. (Of course we have a thesis, it's a science high school after all)

Dang, it's so hectic.

Hi

Hi! I hope this region isn't too busy for you. I know, it's all talk, talk, talk.
