The name? Very much unintentional. It was me playing with random letters for a while, before appending ‘Aara’ to both c and k in two different versions after a crow decided to caw outside, then to send the message that “this was a Griffonian/German city once” I attached both “Aarac” and “Aarak” with “burg”.

Seeing as both didn’t work I scrapped “Aaracburg” and experimented with “Aarakburg” before finally landing on Aaraksburg.

I only learned later that the fictional planet of Arrakis was an actual thing.

Before I even learned of the Garden of Eden I also played with letters until I got Edern, then I met a christian friend who introduced me to the origin story of humanity according to Christianity. I have never felt more exasperation in my life.
