Hello.
As you may have noticed, the region AEGIS Alliance is deconstructing embassies with this region. This is because it has been invaded by the inter-regional organisation known as 'The Legion', and will be used as a springboard for future invasion attempts. I am a representative from this organisation, notifying you of this. We feel the need to tell you this, as you are an alive and active region that it may be of interest to.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you or your region.
-IN THE LEGION WE TRUST-
Damn.
Well, ok.
Does anyone actually care about embassies anymore?
Believe your question is answered.
I've been in this region for a long time. I've been here when it was just a casual light-hearted roleplay-based region with few members. I've been here as it grew to prominence. I've been here in the build up to split, when the region suffered from largely the exact same issues it suffers from at the moment. I've been here on the day of the split itself. I've been here in the time after the split. I've been here through Sukh's entire term.
None of these times were perfect. But never has the regional discord reached a level where such racist, anti-Semitic, transphobic, homophobic and sexist """banter""" have been so accepted and swept aside by the regional administration. Never have I been so disgusted by comments I've seen. Never have I seen a regional government so unwilling to actually do anything about any issue the region faces.
If the region does not change soon, I want no part of it.
Bet
Oh my.
After being kicked from the discord server for calling out a bad mod being bad (by the mod in question nonetheless), I've decided I'm going to take my leave. I would say I enjoyed my brief time here, but I didn't. The casualness of the racism, antisemitism, trans/homophobia displayed by members of the community (and subsequent attacks by the parties in question for calling out said actions) made the entire situation uncomfortable and downright unpleasant. Hope you guys figure out what you need to to not make the discord so toxic.
I'm sorry that you feel the need to depart because of our current situation, although I do understand it. I can also resonate with the untenable nature of the region's state at the moment, and I hope that (as a whole) we can successfully initiate the changes that are necessary for Aeia to recover.
Hello all.
On behalf of the moderation team, I wish to sincerely apologise for not just the events which took place two days ago, but also the series of events over the past few weeks which led up to this point. It is clear that the regional moderation team were unaware of many of the existing concerns about the region and when notified of these concerns, did little to address them. To all those who left the region as a result of the events in question, I am sorry that it got to a point where you felt it necessary to do so. If you feel you wish to move to other regions you see as greener pastures I will not, and cannot stop you.
But if you wish to remain here know that I and the new moderation team will endeavour to ensure that the regional canon can be salvaged and that the discord experience is one that produces a healthy, friendly and cooperative community. Offending individuals have been removed from the region and a new moderation team has now been formed which is much larger than the previous one and they have been instructed to be more committed to policing the chat, taking a zero-tolerance approach towards homophobia, transphobia, anti-semitism, or any other distasteful bigoted behaviour. To this end, we are currently reviewing the existing code of conduct and its application by the mod team. We would be grateful for any feedback we can get in instituting this change. Additionally, the discord itself has been reorganised to prioritise worldbuilding channels over general discussion, whilst newcomers who are not registered guests or recognised members have much more limited access before their application as this should be a discord committed to worldbuilding, not a discussion channel that happens to have some minor worldbuilding or RP activity tacked on the side.
In the coming days we will be instituting more changes based on the feedback we receive and introducing new international RPs that all members can get involved in so that we can stimulate some much-needed activity on the forums. Additionally, once it is understood where the membership of the region is at in the next few weeks, we hope to be introducing new lore building exercises to ensure the health of the regional canon is not affected. If these are changes that will help Aeia to be a better, friendlier community that you feel you can be a part of then I do hope you will come back. However, if you no longer feel you can be a part of this community, then I cannot stop you leaving, and I can only wish you good luck in finding an active, welcoming community you feel at home in. Again I can only apologise for what took place and the moderation team's inability to deal with the situation before it reached boiling point, it should never have been allowed to get there.
I am back. Welcome back everybody
wassup brill
Hello Everyone.
Noted.
Why does it take so long time to get a spot on the RP Map? Have lodged my map application nearly two days ago and it seems that no response has been made so far
Sorry for the wait. We are currently experiencing major changes to our Discord, and many of our moderators have been occupied there. I'll look at your application as soon as possible.
Just a tip, mods are more likely to see your application if you join the discord. We have a channel for discussing applications.
I have responded to your application with suggested changes. As Cuirpthe mentioned, the most reliable way to have your application assessed quickly is to join our Discord server.
Have joined it already
