America seems to have been refounded several times since NationStates was created in 2003. The last one was the 28th of April, 2011 by a country named Chief Laughing Dog:

Previously, at least 32 nations had ruled the region, Architeuthis, Ancient egipt, Jennicole, Simoleon, Goofus maximus, Enerica, Rakiec, Winberg, Fincand, Frigbie, Lawnelf, American loyalist, Avisen, Dazlar, Luvthansam, Einreichera, Shnrubton, Damnaginia, The siths lords, Hamphelia, Swelland, Canadian rockies, Espherland, Ghost of teargas, Colbertrica, Godless heretics, Schwagle, Apple stars, Pedroiastan, Heclanistan, Kizz-my-anthia and Frontenac-lafayette, so it's clear Chief Laughing Dog cannot be the only lord and master of America. From here, I will try to be polite.

Since I'm in NationStates (this is just a puppet), I haven't seen a single sign of activity in America, no attached dispatches, embassies, flag or tags, so I really came here desiring to help. After a month, the founder country disappeared for its 2 months of inactivity so we proceeded to create a regional government to improve the region. The World Factbook Entry started to look like this:

After a week, the founder said "well, if I'm not going to play, nobody could do it", so he/she decided to restore the old text of the WFE ("Bonjour. Je suis tres bien."), deleted our first poll, ended the regional government and removed all the attached dispatches. The problem is that, according to the game rules, this is absolutely legal; a founder can even remove a regional password from the outside.

Why this is not only "domestic stuff"

Continental regions or regions inspired in real states are extremely vulnerable to invasions as seen in the case of Japan. Raiders are not necessarily bad; sometimes they give a warn to those who neglect their regions, but refounding is simply very, very difficult. That's why the person behind Riemstagrad, the Vice-Delegate of Belgium, decided to hand over Oceania Founder to another player:

Antarctica, Europe and Oceania are examples of succesful continental regions. Meanwhile, Asia is dying and, according to Americe/Ndaku, Africa is inactive. So what's the future of America and these regions? They will probably remain the same since they aren't feeders, sinkers or warzones. However, you can change world a little supporting this proposal:

According to the Security Council rules you cannot (a) boycott a nation, (b) refer to the real world, (c) refer to actions or events of the game, so I have tried to create an IC resolution from the perspective of the World Assembly, but it's clear the reasons that have led me to write it cannot be simply ignored. Furthermore, I cannot expect for the person behind Chief Laughing Dog, who also seems to own Lee Greenwood, Manual Labor, Multiple Car Pile-up, Ornithoteuthis, and Your French Masters (?), to change his/her attitude, but I hope you can understand me.
