Welcome!

I've had to boot few players who seemed to admire the Empire of Japan from the period of WWII. :L Tasteless joke.

That's part of why I took this name. I saw it had just become open and wanted to make sure it wasn't grabbed by a colonialist.

All good :D As long as you don't advocate the war crimes... that Japan committed, nor those who did so as well (I'm looking at Jiang Jieshi for his reckless flooding slow down policy)

Come come! We shall eat within the restaurant of Lanzhou Beef Noodles! ^^

NEW POLL - please vote!

I'm good with staying put, the founder has returned before.

There was a case when our region was raided without the founder, so there is a risk to it... :L

Hello comrades!

My name is Xingyun Heping, but you can call me XH for short.

I am brand new to this region. How can I go about getting involved with this community?

Nice to meet you all!

Hello ^^

I'm concerned we're being invaded with two new nations showing up after the poll has started trying to get us to leave.

We'll cancel these two. The votes will only be those of natives in this region. We do need to set up a citizenship applicant system, but so far, I have not seen people being interested in regional construction... Nor does the founder reply back XD. As for now - 3 (Stay) v (1) Refound.

I'm hoping we stay in the region... This poll is only checking the validability if there arises the need in future cases. As promised, by next month, we'll open a committee on drafting a constitution, and hopefully, the changes by the moderators in NationStates, will help our little region in obtaining newcomers by recruiting and much more. :) On that note, we are checking whether we should allow open elections with party affiliations or by merit with no political affiliations with 'strict policies on how to become a citizen critque'.

From there, we'll set up ministries related to our region-wise...

I hope that we can become friends.

I know my vote has been invalidated (and understandably so) but from my limited knowledge of this game the only way to secure this region in a fool proof way is to have an active Founder...

Nice to meet you! Let me know anyway I can help and get involved!

Zhong-guo

Since I've not been here, in this region, for very long, I've decided not to vote, and let that decision be done by the long-time residents here only.

That'd be wonderful :D We do need to set up an citizenship application (as mentioned below); then put fine the details of how our region is to run - should our region have elections; what kind of constitution do we model; do we enable fictional parties for elections; or is it by meritocracy; do we need off-site communications; do we need armed forces for our region?; we have a lot to uncover!

CCP China wrote:Since I've not been here, in this region, for very long, I've decided not to vote, and let that decision be done by the long-time residents here only.

That's fine! We'll soon enact a citizenship application process to make it easier as to who is the resident. ^^ Soon, we'll expand the process, and simplified for our residents like you :D You're always welcome here

It depends on what the citizenship will involve. If it is WA only then I vote no. If it is meeting other criteria I vote yes.

Xingyun Heping and Zhong-guo

I absolutely agree with having some sort of citizenship.

I also believe we are a group should create either an off-site group chat or Discord!

Dongguo

You can also use the NS forums for region coordination/role play pages. Means not having to go off site because some players don’t seem to like that.

That's true, but you don't get real time notifications and doesn't seem super convenient to me :/

Zhong-guo

A lot of new friends in the region lately.

And new regional officer titles making it more political. Where did Infamous Glare go?

I'm in favour of leaving the region as it was.
