Sultan Abdulrahman:

"To amend relations. I am open to hearing what you have to say and propose upon arriving at the meeting place. As you know, Omanis do not like anything related to Ba'athism; therefore, it will take much conversation and reassurances from you to amend."

Assad's face turned serious, as he nodded in understanding, getting in one of the cars.
President Assad:

Yes, I understand that Omanis have no love for a Ba'ath in their homeland. However, I can assure you that I am not like the expansionists of old.

Assad:

I believe that Syria and Oman can be integral allies in the middle east. We have so much culture between us, and we cannot let the actions of our predecessors divide the Middle East and make free land for neo-imperialists like Russia. I know that ideology is not good ground for our relations to stand, so I wish for new relations to be established. I agree, that the actions of the old Ba'ath was unacceptable, but I can assure you it has evolved for the better.

Me too, what's funny is that I dislocated it a few years ago and it took about 4 or 5 months to completely heal. For some reason it decided to injury itself again about as recently as March, according to the x-rays I got it was a old fracture that didn't properly heal, I'm hoping it heals soon because I miss walking in regular shoe on my right foot lol

Sultan Abdulrahan:

"Mr. Assad. Oman is not worried about the United States, Russia, China, or the EU. Oman has been integral to the promotion of Arab peace, stability, innovation, and progress since 1947. You are correct in your statement that ideology is not good ground because we have two distinct, vastly different ideologies that has yielded polar opposite results as you can see. Now, I am thankful for your recognition of the vile actions of the Ba'aths of the past. We do not share the same culture nor heritage identity. Two different historical developments but what cannot be denied is a shared bloodline as Arabs. From our analysts here, quite frankly, Syria is very erratic for Omani businessmen and women to garner confidence on a productive relationship. How do you plan to remedy that precautionary view?"
