The Adrestian Empire and Vrs trident

Goodbye! waddles away

Tao the wanderer

Looks like I have some catching up to do now that I have a few minutes with internet access. I have enjoyed rewind the comments from this week. You all have been wonderful hosts.

Church of seiros

We at the Church of Seiros want to wish a happy early birthday to The Adrestian Empire's Emperor Edelgard von Hresvelg. Misguided though her aims may be, we hope that she is someday able to see the light. Until then, we hope she has a very happy birthday.

Nations of the great continent of Fodlan, it was on this very day, yes, the twenty second day of the Garland moon, that in the Imperial year eleven hundred and sixty two, her majesty Adrestrian Emperor Edelgard I von Hresvelg was born to Adrestrian Emperor Ionius IX and his consort Anselma von Arundel. Through tremendous adversity and challenge, Edelgard found the courage stand up and take the divisive yet decisive action necessary to rid the society of this continent of the unjust and unequal Crests, the cruel aristocracy they created, the corrupt church that justified the existence of such a vile institution, and the reactionary forces of the inequitable regimes centered around such inherent injustice. Only she had the willpower to create a truly meritocratic state, where the honorable people of this great continent, yes the great nation of Fodlan, live in a meritocratic society, where people swear fealty to no lord, king, or goddess, but to that common nation that they are a part of. While others in this region may doubt the justifiability of her decisions as a leader, in the Adrestian Empire, our visionary sovereign is respected by all for her words, actions, and ideals alike. For when an injustice is so fundamentally entrenched, there reaches a point when those who suffer understand that there can be no compromise or middle ground to accomplishing lasting and necessary change within a society. Anything less then that in such a situation, and the old few will continue to benefit at the many's expense.

Regardless of your opinions on Edelgard or the righteousness of her ideals or actions, I am sure that all of us here can agree that she of all people in Fodlan, certainly deserves to have a happy birthday.

Yes. A very happy birthday to Ferdinand's great archrival and (in CF) liege. Politically and philosophically, Ferdinand and Edelgard seem as opposed as anyone, and Edelgard's extreme vision for Fodlan and slash-and-burn methodology is wanton and unecessary while disregarding all the good that still existed in Fodlan. Regardless, both Edelgard and Ferdinand are united in their firm belief in their principles and ideas (while remaining open to discussion and debate) and selfless and genuine dedication to serving their empire and people, through whatever means they deem the most effective.

Residents of Fodlan! Please share your opinion by voting in the poll! I picked Anna due to her lack of support bonuses and unorthodox skill set that curtails her flexibility (skilled in Faith but disadvantaged in Reason? Hidden skill in Riding without Lances?) That disadvantage in Authority doesn't do her any favors either, and while I haven't used her very much for those reasons, she was not a major contributor when I did keep her around.

Only including the base game, I would probably vote for Flayn if she didn't have Rescue, so... Hanneman.

Anna is a fine assassin or trickster type if you put the effort in. Her personal skill is quite poor. Cyril is similar, but weaker to start and worse. However, he has good skills and a strong personal ability to make up for it. I don't think there are too many truly bad units in this game, but most that you posted are all kind of... mediocre (except for Caspar, who makes a great War Master). I suppose I'd pick Ashe, as he really does not stand out as an excellent archer compared to others like Shamir, and his personal skill, while convenient at times, is not useful from a combat perspective.

Apologies for forgetting the birthday of Adrestrian comrade Caspar von Bergliez on the 1st. A dedicated, energetic, and principled man, he shares the same bravery and assertiveness so many Black Eagles have.

Greetings. This is a puppet of The Noble State of Aegir, created to collect more cards!

Happy birthday to "The King of Grappling" himself, Balthus von Albrecht. I hope you may eventually pay off your seemingly infinite debts.

Although I am a day late, Happy Saint Cethleann day, and a very happy birthday to Flayn.

We have a new poll up, so please vote! I would give Felix the edge over Petra, but make either of them (or Yuri) an assassin and they practically can't be hit by anything. Also props to Lysithea for raw power and Mercedes for being by being far and away the best healer in the game while also packing some offensive punch.

Looks like Petra is making a late surge with foreigners like Refuge Isle, Arnotistan, and, of course, Petra Macneary herself coming out of the woodwork. While I'm dissapointed my main man Ferdinand isn't on the list, I admit that he is more of a jack of all trades unit that lacks the specialization that gives units like Lysithea their power or the stats of Petra and Felix, and it would be inaccurate to consider him the best unit in the game. He's still great, though!

Happy birthday to Golden Deer house leader and sovereign Duke of the Leicester Alliance, Claude von Riegan. A good intentioned and inteligent fellow, to be sure, and a respectable opponent of the Empire despite his decision to uphold his corrupt land.

In other news, a fool seems to have tried to log into this nation with an incorrect password several hours ago. I really do hope some raider isn't trying to take our region over, but if I do anything weird in the near future, that will likely be the cause.

Today, July 26th, I would like to celebrate the birthday of Fire Emblem Three Houses itself! One year ago, this game released worldwide, and whether you got it on or soon after launch or not, it clearly made enough of an impact on you to consider looking at this region and reading this post as you are. My dearest thanks and congratulations to the designers, developers, producers, artists, animators, testers, engineers, translators, voice talent, musicians, and other personnel from Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo, Nintendo, and other companies from around the world for helping to create such a remarkable game, and I wish the best for all of you in this time of global crisis.

Hardly could have said it any better, Adrestia.

Coincidentally, it is also the Godess's Rite of Rebirth today! Excellent coordination.

Oh yeah, and because you basically forgot The Adrestian Empire, a big ol' happy birthday to former songstress, Seiros devotee, and "Adrestian Comrade" Manuela Casagranda.

...Indeed. Did you happen to notice the region Dreamlands of Phantasia, inhabited by nations sporting modified names of Garreg Mach students and staff?

Want to accept this embassy request, Adrestia?

Nah. They don't seem to fit our theme too well.

Happy birthday to speedy trickster Yuri Leclerc, gangster king of Fodlan's underworld and resident Robin Hood.
