I can see your point, it does seem like that is what Palestine wants, but in the end, the Palestinean and Israeli citizens probably just want to live their lives. The governments don't want to keep peace. They are the real villians. And in my opinion, I think Israel and Palestine both should be taken over by a third party. So peace is restored, and a neutral Levant is put in power as the country to control the Israeli and Palestinian territory.

I can understand your perspective and even agree that Israel is not exactly a paragon, but the thing is that as far as national identities goes Israel is at least compatible with peace. Israel should be held to higher standard as a solution for long term peace and integration and because only they are capable of it.
