København - According to an anonymous but trustworthy insider, the winner of recent election, Ms. Lotte Sørensen, has just took another huge step towards being appointed the first female Prime Minister of Denmark. A deal between Sørensen's Centerpartiet and Det Konservative Folkeparti (Conservative People's Party), Radikale Venstre (Social Liberal Party), Dansk Folkeparti (Danish People's Party) and Sambandspartiet (Union Party) was struck yesterday, our source tells us, that should secure Ms. Sørensen a narrow majority in the Folketing. Combined, these five parties currently command 97 seats in the Folketing (out of a total of 179 seats). That being said, it is still unclear whether the abovementioned parties are going to form a coalition government or if they will rather opt for a minority one-party government. In the second scenario Sørensen's Centerpartiet cabinet would be reliant on these four parties' parliamentary support.

København - At a press conference that was held this morning in Christianborg Palace, Ms Lotte Sørensen announced that she is forming a minority government with a support of the following parties in the Folketing: Det Konservative Folkeparti, Radikale Venstre, Dansk Folkeparti and Sambandspartiet. Ms Sørensen thus confirmed the recent rumours were true and she then further revealed that by the end of the week, she will present and introduce her government and her ministers-nominees to His Majesty King Frederik.

Our political analyst, Jesper Jensen, tells us that the designated Prime Minister, Ms Sørensen, will likely face a stubborn opposition not only from the opposition parties but more alarmingly even from within her own party. The rumour has it that several influential Centerpartiet members of the Folketing are not very supportive of Ms Sørensen's conduct and that they are not happy with how the negotiations with other political parties went and ended up, particularly they are said not to be fond of a prospect of political cooperation with Danish People's Party that is by some branded as populist. Jesper Jensen says that this internal rift could very well cause major troubles for the young Prime-Minister-to-be and if not dealt with properly and timely it could even lead to one or both of the following scenarios: i) Sørensen's government losing a confidence vote in the Folketing; ii) A major split in Centerpartiet. Such severe consequences are not inevitable, Jensen believes, but the situation is going to require Ms Sørensen being at her best if she is to suceed.

To: Government of Danmarka

Dear Prime Minister,

On behalf of His Majesty King Sultan, and the entirety of Saudi Arabia, I would like to extend my sincerest congratulations to you, your excellency, on the formation of your new cabinet, and on your accomplishment of being the first female Prime Minister of Denmark. I find it unfortunate that there has not been more ties between our nations, but am eager as to the possibilities of forging new frontiers on the diplomatic front between our two great Kingdoms.

Saudi Arabia and Denmark have many fields unto which we can potentially develop deeper economic ties. The Kingdom is currently undergoing our Vision 2030 program, which aims to develop a non-petroleum based economy. As the de-facto leader of the Islamic World, we find it imperative that we can bring our nation into the modern age, and so to the rest of the region.

His Majesty would request the establishment of bilateral relations between our States, namely a Saudi embassy in Copenhagen, and a Danish embassy in Jeddah. Should you accept, we intend to nominate H.E. Fatima Khamis Al-Mazrouei, a career diplomat who worked in the Royal Saudi embassy in Westminister City, Orange-bourgogne for several years, as our Ambassador to your nation.

Best regards,
Prince Thani bin Ahmed Al Saud

Recent studies into the old regime have uncovered something that could rewrite the history of West Africa. It was originally thought that the lineage that was in power up until a number of years ago was unbroken since the Etikan Empire, an empire that existed around present-day Nouakchott, around 2800BCE. The findings shows that the "Last Lineage" actually originated around 1451CE. It is unclear as to where they originated from, but the previous belief that the lineage lasted for 4,250 years has been disproved. More research will need to be done to determine where they originated from and where the lineage exactly started.

President Madaki and the city of Dakar are preparing for EXPO V: Dakar which is happening in a number of months from now. This EXPO is expected to be broadcasted across the globe. Whoever wins this EXPO will go on to Singapore to defend their title as EXPO Champion. President Madaki is hoping for a home-field advantage so that West Africa can become this year's champion.

Republic City's completion date of Phase 1 has been pushed closer due to more funding by both the West African government and the North China government. Construction of Ṣaina has also started but no completion date was given. If funding gradually increases over some time, the completion date for Republic City can be substantially moved closer. The final news for now on Republic City is that a portion of a highway is being built directly through city. This will connect the city better to other areas of West Africa.

Sharing a Beer With The Princely Family

VYBORG - The Princely Family of Romanovskaya held a small event on the grounds of the Princely Palace to celebrate and recognise the contributions made by the ordinary citizens of Romanovskaya. The event was quite relaxed and jovial, with people from ordinary backgrounds being able to share a beer with members of the Princely Family.

“It is a privilege for me to be able to do that,” said Kvetoslav Shvernik, 26, after quaffing a cold one with Prince Hendrik at the garden party outside the Princely Palace, situated just a couple of miles outside the capital city of Vyborg.

He noted that it was quite unusual, as, say any other citizen of another country being able to casually engage with the Head of State and their family: “We are one big family here. We see a lot of one another. You run into one other a lot.”

What made Friday’s state holiday so special was that it marked a special day where the Princely Family recognised the work and effort made by the ordinary citizens of Romanovskaya everyday. Guests were all given free food and drinks with a live band also in attendance for entertainment.

Some Romanovans had a problem with the ruling dynasty when then Princess of Romanovskaya, Xenia II, whose wealthy family still owns RGT Group, threatened in 2003 to abdicate if her subjects did not grant her more constitutional powers in a spat over judicial nominees. She won the vote easily.

These days, most citizens solidly back the monarchy, said Vladan Adaksin, 39, dressed up in a brass band’s uniform.

“Politicians come and go, but the princely dynasty is here forever,” he said.

Princess Zephyrine I, the 30-year-old head of state, struck the same tone in a speech to thousands of flag-waving compatriots assembled on the plains of the Karelian Isthmus.

“Our country is among the safest places in the world. The rule of law is firmly established. There is hardly any other country where the individual has as much say in politics,” she said. “We enjoy one of the highest standards of living in the world,” she added, recalling the land was a poor backwater a century ago.

The princess’s veto power makes the monarchy one of the few in Europe with political authority, although Romanovans have the right to hold a referendum to revoke their confidence in the princess should at least 9,500 citizens support the idea.

Friday's official celebration caps a month of festivities that include a contest to pick an anniversary song for Romanovskaya Independence. The winning entry was “This is Where I Belong”.

LIVE: OPPOSITION OCCUPIES & LOOTS BUILDINGS
~ OBBC News

There are now an estimated ten million protestors throughout the country, and at least five million here in Westminster City, with still many more trying to get involved.

As the main group of demonstrators march to the centre of power in the city, a relatively small group of others try to occupy homes and loot shops to take whatever they can get their hands on. Already, dozens have complained with the police that their store’s windows are broken or that other damages have been made. The police on the other hand, will have to deal with this later. At this moment, they try to guide the front of the march out of the centre, at which they seem to fail so far. There are just too many people for the police to control at once.

Elsewhere in Westminster City, riot police on horseback have arrived to assist their colleagues. It is presumed that they will begin charging into the march shortly in order to break them up in smaller groups so that they can be more swiftly handled, and, if needed, arrested.

There are also some rumours that firearms would have been spotted, though the official opposition has denied that any of its members has or encourages the bearing of such weaponry. The police said that they take the rumours ‘seriously, because if they are real they could pose a significant danger to not only the participants of the protest, but others too’.

More on this as it develops.

København - Peter Hansen, 59, an influential Centerpartier member of the Folketing, publicly spoke out against Ms Lotte Sørensen's government at a press conference held yesterday. Hansen, who is regarded as the informal leader of the so called "rebel group" inside Centerpartiet, criticized Sørensen's leadership and her choice of political allies. He went as far as to say that "never will I, nor other reasonable Centerpartiet members of the Folketing, vote for such a government in a confidence vote. Sørensen had better be aware of that."

While Hansen didn't specify how many other Centrepartiet MPs share his opinion of Sørensen and her planned cabinet, our analyst believes there are at least 8 more rebellious Centerpartiet MPs. If so, the government would have backing of only 89 MPs and thus wouldn't be able to win a vote of confidence in the Folketing.

The Walkerstown Herald

Protests took place today outside city hall yesterday as citizens called for the abandonment of the government's proposition to build a series of bridges and tunnels connecting the provinces of Little California and North Sonora. The potential infrastructure would run through the Tiburon Island national park.

Asked for comments, representatives of the Republican Party stated that the connection would be a boost both for Walkerstown and Little California economies. Opponents in the Liberal Party have noted that while the project would have economic benefits, the enormous cost both financially and to the environment would make it a clear misstep for the government. "What is needed is an increase in maritime transport", said a Liberal spokesperson, "Increases in funding for maritime transport could connect not just North Sonora and Little California but all provinces on the Little California peninsula and the mainland."

Signs carried by the protestors accused the government and the Republican Party of corruption, accusations originating in rumors that the government is considering the project to facilitate the siphoning of national funds to donors.

Socialist-Democrats to push through more progressive legislature

The Sobiraniya has accepted a law, proposed by the USP (Uniya ye Socialixa y Progressivixa) and the PNP (Poko y Natura Paritya) that mandates the government to pay for abortions. Women in the more progressive corners of the Imperial Federation have the celebrated the news. Prime Minister Cyseia has similarly celebrated the news, speaking of 'a major landmark reached in woman's rights. Even though abortions have been legal in the Imperial Federation in all cases up to 22 weeks pregnancy. However, often, many women were unable to pay for their abortions. With tihs new law, financing abortion is a matter of the state, and women no matter their financial status can enjoy the right to self-determination of the womb fully.

Conservative groups are upset. Conservative spokesmen and women have stated that the Infinian government 'overstepped' and wonder whether Infinian values are now as disposble as everyday trash. While some simply call on the government to withdraw the law, as they do not want to pay for what they believe to be an immoral act, others have seen the progressive legislature as an indication that the current opposition is insufficient, and that more radical measures become increasingly required.

LIVE: MARCH FOR EQUITY STANDOFF
~ OBBC News

Troops of the Coldstream Guards have swapped their ceremonial red tunics and bearskin caps for their operation attire to assist the riot police in the ongoing March for Equity throughout Westminster City.

Just moments ago, the government spokesperson informed us that the Prime Minister received information that the dissidents could have firearms and ammunition at their disposal, and that they are therefore now seen as terrorists. "From henceforth", the spokesperson told OBBC News, "rubber bullets will be replaced with normal ammunition, accompanied by tear gas grenades and flashbangs.

Live footage from the OBBC News helicopter shows that the Coldstream Guards are taking up their positions, while on the other end of the road, rioters setup improvised catapults so that they can sling rocks at the officials. In the far distance, someone is also holding a rifle in his arms, but that remains only vaguely visible.

In the meantime, officers from the Guards address the crowds, ordering that they must leave at once. But the demonstrators at the end have not yet received the information that the military has arrived, and therefore block continue to occupy the streets connected with the one where the Coldstream Guards have just set up their line of men.

The commanding officer of the Coldstream Guards, Colonel George Monck, is clearly frustrated with the fact that the protestors did not leave after the very first request to do so. He was a keen supporter for Prime Minister Pankhurst and was only appointed to his current position a few weeks ago, even though some of his superiors at the time were against his promotion. It was alleged that the appointment was a political one, forced through by Captain Lewis Martins MP RLF, the current Defence Secretary and a close friend of Colonel Monck.

Colonel Monck then ordered his men to aim their arms at the dissidents, who react instinctively and retreat a bit more. Yet from behind them, the catapults are now ready and start firing bricks and glasses. Those protestors who are in possession of a gun walk forward and one catches the eye of a non-commissioned officer. While the protestor keeps himself at a fair distance from the guards and loads his weapon with ammunition, the NCO instantly signals to his officer what he just saw. The officer rushes towards the guards' HQ and informs Colonel Monck. Colonel Monck deliberates with his staff and an official from the Department for Internal Affairs, and after only a very brief moment a decision is reached: "Shoot them down, Lieutenant Simmerson", orders Colonel Monck.

SpaceX's Star Link to be completed in the next decade, Critics raise concerns

SpaceX, the private spaceflight company known for reusable rockets and a giant, shiny Starship, will begin offering its own satellite internet service in 2020, according to SpaceNews. In fact, the U.S. Air Force is already testing it in planes.

To build the service, SpaceX will have to launch up to eight Falcon 9 rockets filled with the company's Starlink satellites, SpaceX President and Chief Operating Officer Gwynne Shotwell told SpaceNews and other reporters this week at the 70th International Astronautical Congress in Washington.

"We'll continue to upgrade the network until mid to late next year," SpaceNews' Jeff Foust quoted Shotwell as saying during a media roundtable on Tuesday (Oct. 22). "We're hoping for 24 launches by the end of the year." SpaceX launched the first Starlink mission, a Falcon 9 carrying 60 satellites, on May 23 to lay the foundation for a satellite constellation that will ultimately number in the tens of thousands. Another 60 are slated to launch next month.

This week, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk used the Starlink system to send a tweet for the first time.

"Whoa, it worked!" Musk wrote in the tweet on Tuesday. Musk used a Starlink terminal in his home to send the tweet. Eventually, Starlink customers will receive a box from SpaceX to access the network, SpaceNews reported.

"Knowing Elon, he wants everything to be beautiful. So the user terminal will be beautiful," Shotwell said Tuesday according to SpaceNews.

Musk has said SpaceX will need at least 400 Starlink satellites in orbit for "minor" broadband coverage, and 800 satellites aloft for "moderate" coverage. The initial Starlink plan called for a megaconstellation of 12,000 satellites, and SpaceX recenty filed paperwork with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to launch another 30,000 satellites. Ultimately, SpaceX may not need so many satellites in orbit for global coverage. But having them available will allow SpaceX to use some satellites for customized service, Shotwell said, according to SpaceNews.

One of those potential customers may be the U.S. military.

The Union Air Force is testing SpaceX's Starlink technology in military aircraft under a program called Global Lightning, Reuters and SpaceNews reported. The project, which is part of a $28 million contract SpaceX won from the Pentagon last year, is testing encrypted military communications via Starlink terminals in a C-12 military transport aircraft, Reuters reported.

"We are delivering high bandwidth into the cockpit of Air Force planes," Reuters' Joey Roulette quoted Shotwell as saying Tuesday.

SpaceX is not the only company pursuing satellite broadband services. The companies OneWeb, Telesat and Amazon have announced plans for megaconstellations of their own, but none as large as SpaceX's Starlink network.

However, there have been some concerns as the large number of planned satellites have been met with criticism from the astronomical community. Astronomers claim that the number of visible satellites will outnumber visible stars, and that their brightness in both optical and radio wavelengths will severely impact scientific observations. Because the Starlink satellites can autonomously change their orbits, observations cannot be scheduled to avoid them. The International Astronomical Union and National Radio Astronomy Observatory have released official statements expressing concern on the matter. SpaceX representatives and Musk have claimed that the satellites will have minimal impact though many professional astronomers have disputed these claims based on initial observation of the Starlink v0.9 satellites on the first launch, shortly after their deployment from the launch vehicle. In later statements on Twitter, Musk stated that SpaceX will work on reducing the albedo of the satellites and will provide on-demand orientation adjustments for astronomical experiments, if necessary. Concerns have been raised about the long term danger of space junk resulting from placing thousands of satellites in orbits above 1,000 km, where orbital decay takes several thousand years. Professional astronomers have raised concerns with the impact of so many transmitting satellites on both optical and radio astronomy.

LIVE: RIOT TURNS INTO SHOOTING
~ OBBC News

Troops from the Coldstream Guards and protestors partaking in the March for Equity have just exchanged fire to one another. The Coldstream Guards engaged with the rioters after they confirmed that the latter had firearms, which are strictly prohibited in Orange-bourgogne. An officer from the regiment says that they obtained permission from the relevant authorities before they started the shooting.

After the first bullet was fired, several protestors fired back, some of whom did so from within a nearby building. This initiated a further exchange of fire, in which at least a dozen people have been severely injured. Following these first two attacks from the side of the military, three more followed soon, as the demonstrators did not "retreat quickly enough", despite our live coverage shows that they are running in every direction possible to get out of the area.

Upon learning what just happened, the Leader of the Opposition immediately called for peace to return, and to cease fire from all sides. "We are not here to fight the army, we are here to protest the Government", he said. Colonel George Monck (Coldstream Guards) refused to an armistice "so long as there is a threat that the military is shot upon".

Fifty more people have been arrested, and about twenty-five injured have been taken to hospital. According to a leading nurse, "numerous of them are still fighting for their lives". So far, none of the wounded have been officially identified, but it is said that there were "one or two prominent figures" amongst those who have been hit, a witness told us.

At several other places, including for example Birmingham, Amsterdam, and Glasgow, the police also shot at protestors. Only in these instances, rubber bullets and hail were used rather than ordinary ammunition. A source informs us that "about one hundred individuals in total" are severely wounded. These figures includes the numbers on both sides.

Under the West African Wildlife Conservation Unit (WAWCU), any wild animals that are kept in sanctuaries, that are not endangered, is illegal. The treatment of the animals that were found also adds another felony to the list. The "sanctuaries" can be traced back to the Blood Lions, a notorious gang located in the western half of West Africa. The people that were arrested in connection with the lions were only lower ranking members of the gang. None of the higher officials were connected to the illegal sanctuaries.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs issues travel ban on Orange-bourgogne

A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the implementation of a second-degree travel ban on the United Kingdom of Orange-bourgogne, effective immediately, in light of the opening of live fire between protestors and government forces. All commercial flights to and from the UK will henceforth be suspended for an indefinite amount of time. The Ministry further added that all citizens of Saudi Arabia were ordered to report to the Embassy in Westminster or the closest Saudi consulate, and that 15 A380 aircraft of national flag-carrier Saudia would be diverted to Heathrow airport for emergency departure of Saudi citizens. The spokesperson stressed that the safety of Saudi citizens is the number one priority, and that all measures would be taken to ensure the protection of Saudis abroad.

The Tadawul dropped significantly at the opening of the stock market this morning, as bearish investors reacted to the news from Westminster of live rounds being used by government security forces on protestors. The UK closely follows the United States of Imperial Eagle in terms of Saudi foreign investment. Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal spoke to Al Waliyah earlier stating that the unrest in the UK posed a significant threat to the global economy, and could potentially threaten recession. He said that Saudis in particular were at risk due to their large-scale investments in the country, which hasn't seen such uncertainty since the Troubles. The UK has for decades been very inviting for Saudi money due to its political stability and economic importance, and since the 1960s, Saudi royals and insiders have invested nearly $100 bn in assets into the country. Prince Bandar bin Abdulrahman Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the UK, urged Saudi investors to remain calm, and assured that the Embassy was in discussion with the UK government to protect the assets of Saudi citizens in the country. He further stressed that Saudi citizens should focus on getting to safety and avoiding the protests.

Parliamentary elections begin in the Kingdom

Minister of Justice Abdullatif bin Farhan Al-Ghassib, who holds responsibility for oversight of parliamentary elections, announced the start of the parliamentary elections for the Council of State. The Council of State (CS) is the consultative council and parliamentary body of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was formed as per the provisions of the Kingdom's Constitution. Its main functions include:
- passing, amending or rejecting federal draft laws including financial bills
- examining the Annual General Budget draft law and the draft law of the final accounts
- discussing international treaties and agreements
- discussing general subject pertaining to the affairs of the Federation and offering recommendations

As per the Constitution, the Council of State is third of the four federal authorities. MPs hold office for four years from the date of its first meeting, and represents the entire population of the Kingdom and not merely the emirate which that member represents in the CoS. The Council of State's 16th legislative chapter convened in November 2015 where eight women were appointed; equal to 20 per cent of the total membership. The 17th chapter will see all forty seats up for election, or re-election.

More on this as it develops.

The Union Government is shocked that such an outcome has occurred but in the interest of safeguarding Union citizens, a First Class Travel Warning has been issued and all travel that is not essential has been stopped for the time being. Should the situation become more grave, and due to the uncertain fact regarding the state of the Orange-Bourgonian Armed Forces, the Department of Defense may raise the alert levels of the Union Armed Forces to DEFCON 3. However, as this is a changing situation, this alert level may change as a result

March for Equity: what happened?
~ OBBC News

Today was a day full of important events. In Westminster City, the March for Equity was held and suppressed by the Government through the use of riot police units and the armed forces. What started as a relatively peaceful demonstration, turned around quickly in the afternoon, when protestors were targeted by the Coldstream Guards, who opened fire upon them.

Throughout the remainder of the day, fights occurred in many parts of the country. Some were relatively brief and without too much violence, others were very aggressive and lasted for hours.

All in all, the Department of State for Commerce estimates that about Fl. 2 billion worth of damages were caused. The Department of State for Internal Affairs confirmed that approximately six thousand arrests have been made today throughout the nation, of which one thousand took place in or near Westminster City. Seven people remain in critical condition in hospital, most of whom with shot wounds. Our information allows us to take a rough guess at the number of participants. About 80.000 police officers, 20,000 of whom were deployed to Westminster City, and another 2,500 soldiers took part in the government’s mission to keep the peace. On the other hand, about nine million people protested in the boundaries of Westminster City, and it is calculated by us that no less than thirteen million people in total have been involved in the March for Equity in one way or another.

These numbers show that the March for Equity – although not a complete success for anyone – was one of the largest protests against any government of Orange-bourgogne in history. We will have to wait to see what happens next.
