I'm guessing you're in your early 50s then? Cool!
We are what we are...and age is a state of mind.
Holy crap, then I must be dead!
Kalmukia and Drifter
I prefer to describe myself as a "millennial with the soul of a Baby Boomer" myself. My favourite times in music are the mid 60s and the early 80s.
If taste in music determined one's age I'd be over 400 years old.

Now that's older than Beethoven and Bach! What are we talking about? Sitting under a tree with a wooden flute? Dancing with the sprites?

Well, that's one on me--I never heard of Monteverdi.
Never played a lute, but in my school days, I did learn to play a friend's soprano recorder. And it was made out of wood, not plastic. Hey, it was the '60's.
Kalmukia and Drifter
Well that is better than banging drums around a fire, or throat singers on an iceberg. :P
+No disrespect to drummers or throat sings intended+
I have been learning more lately about solfeggio frequencies and their relation to Gregorian chants. Another thing I ran across recently was the story of a group who created a magic box (digitally recreated the former building’s acoustics) of the Hagia Sophia so that songs/chants performed today would have the acoustics of those performed centuries ago in that building. WOW ... it is amazing to hear the difference with/without the acoustic filter.

TAO, you must have a lot of spare time.
You left me with so many things to google!

I am required to create several PD (professional development) Reflections each month for my position while the school district is closed by Wuhan-Covid. I loathe the topics list the district has for me and decided to do my own research into non-traditional ways to enhance math. One such rabbit trail lead me to the relationship between math and music (so much fraction math there) which led me to solfeggio frequencies and from there to the chants. Another rabbit trail branched off of this one and I made a note to myself to investigate the alpha/beta/gamma/delta resonance wave and musical possibilities for enhancing learning/concentration. All this extra is on top of the 6 hours daily (5 day week) I assist preparing meals for students in my district and then delivering said meals on a school bus. Doing this research is nice because it takes me to thought palaces I have never visited and gives me ideas for incorporating these new ideas into practical activities for the betterment of my grandchildren.

That's wonderful! I had already plotted my path for a career, when I realized near the end of high school, that I made the wrong decision and wished I'd studied to become a music teacher. To do so would have meant starting a year later, and to a 17-year old, that seemed like an eternity. I had taken a course in my senior year called "Music Theory and Harmony." Until then, although I'd taken instrumental lessons since age 10, I had no idea of the math involved--other than notes and rests. Then I learned of the "Circle of Fifths," and it became fascinating. We did cover the Gregorian chants, but not to the detail of your research.

Slow down, you move too fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy
Hello lamppost, what'cha knowing
I've come to watch your flowers growin'
Ain't you got no rhymes for me?
Doo-ait-n-doo-doo, feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy
I got no deeds to do, no promises to keep
I'm dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morningtime drop all its petals on me
Life, I love you, all is groovy.
We'll meet again
Don't know where, don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Keep smiling through
Just like you always do
'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away
Once upon a time you dressed so fine
Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People call say 'beware doll, you're bound to fall'
You thought they were all kidding you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hanging out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging your next meal
*floats off into the sunset*
Thanks for hosting us!
I think I'm gonna be sad
I think it's today, yeah
The girl that's driving me mad
Is going away
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care
She said that living with me
Is bringing her down, yeah
For she would never be free
When I was around
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care
I don't know why she's riding so high
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
Before she gets to saying goodbye
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
I think I'm gonna be sad
I think it's today, yeah
The girl that's driving me mad
Is going away, yeah
Oh, she's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care
I don't know why she's riding so high
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
Before she gets to saying goodbye
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
She said that living with me
Is bringing her down, yeah
For she would never be free
When I was around
Ah, she's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care
My baby don't care, my baby don't care
My baby don't care, my baby don't care
My baby don't care, my baby don't care

Au revoir, Groovy
I like the misheard lyric "she's got a chicken to ride".

Alas ... it is time to continue my Wanderings. Thank you one and all for the kindness you showed.
“The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say”
Thank you for the stay. Time to drift.
