If by "watches" and "furniture" you mean "peace" and "cutting edge technology", then you're absolutely right!

Anyone who wants to join, PM me, and I'll make a discord if we get enough people

Darn, I was kind of hoping for a clockwork bed table.

When I started playing NationStates, Loftegen was just a name I pulled out of thin air, and something to call my newly created nation.

After I created Lady Zaharra and began to RP a bit, I started thinking about Loftegen's backstory. At first I saw it as a sort of Switzerland: small, mountainous, and fiercely independent. When I first put it on an RP map, Loftegen acquired a coastline on the northern side of a continent. As I was developing the geography, I put the capital on a major river (which I never got around to naming, I think), whereas I had seen it as being on the shore of a lake, the Altenmere.

Still, I hadn't really thought about the history of Loftegen, which became moot when it was deleted as just punishment for me being a drunken douche-bag.

Of course, Loftegen was reborn as Loftegen 2 as soon as I could manage it, but with a new RP map, and no coastline, some things had to change. I was helped along a great deal in this endeavor by the RP that sprang up between me and Leonism, which both forced and inspired me to work on the specifics of Loftegen 2's history.

I am currently writing that history (in broad strokes) and have posted some of it on the RMB. I think I will continue to do so, but I will also post it as a dispatch and update it as necessary.
In my mind now, Loftegen 2 was, when Lady Zaharra first arrived, a lot like the Austrian Empire in the 1850's: lots of ethnic groups, many languages, different religions, but without an overall ruling state. Over the course of a millennium, she was able to weld it into a single, unified nation.

As far as language goes, I've used the term 'Loftegenan' for the language spoken there, but of course in practical terms it's American English. I'm working on the idea that Loftegenan is actually Anglish, i.e. what Anglo-Saxon/Old English would have evolved into without all that pesky French influence that resulted from the Norman Conquest, or attempts to force it to fit Latin grammar. The result would be the languages of Leonism and Loftegen 2 being much closer to mutually intelligible than English and German are today.

So Lady Zaharra is kind of like a mythical Bismark? =P

I actually have, I believe, but I don't really like big servers, because sending messages on discord is much easier than on the forums, so people write a lot more.

That makes sense. :)

I prefer forums for discussing things too because people tend to think about what they're writing more which makes for higher quality communication. Discord is very useful for chatting and organizing stuff though!

Yes, but much more subtle, and patient, and smarter. :P

Tubbius and Mrs. Tubbius have spent the day happily devouring pies at a pie contest in Piggy Cliff Mall. Now home, with tummies full, They find this morning's buildup of Tubbius Magic in Their tummies finally taking hold as a small Tubbius Magic Surge that leaves Them sweaty, wheezy, and a bit uncomfortable in Their soft, lavender nightgowns. A trip to Dr. Biggenbottom-Tubbius and His talking scale finds Tubbius a nice, round, baggy thirteen Tubbs and Mrs. Tubbius up to Her eleventh Tubb.

"Mmph MMPH MMPH mmph! Mmph mmph!" To the tub, both of you! Clean up and rest!

Let me get to this later tonight. I can't easily do the admin side of the site on my phone, which involves an IP check. I'll have to get on my computer in a few hours and knock it out, but I will do it before bed!

Promise!
