Not running for president will certainly help with that.

Your America account CTEd.

True, though I don't think it was so much the presidential run as the caricature-of-a-Democrat policies he advocated by the end.

I think people are just losing interest. I still check in daily just to see.

I mean I can still write a post but if no one else does anything I think it'd get quite boring.

Yeah. I still might write a post or two organizing my stratocracy, but that’s mostly for my own world building entertainment.

I'm sure you've guessed the answer to that by now.

I have a sixty five pages long answer to this question.

My friends,

It’s been the most wonderful three years of my life spent with you on this lovely little platform called Nationstates. Some of my fondest memories are of writing histories, making schemes, and yes, waging war alongside and sometimes against you. I’ve taken such savage pride in building this community up from the ground together, from A World Beyond to A Neoworld Beyond to A Curtain of Steel to finally this last and most enduring region, Machtpolitik, Seasons 1-4. It will occupy a special place in my heart forever.

But more special to me are the friendships established. You are all such lovely people and without the medium of Nationstates I would never have been able to meet all of you—Brazil, the Netherlands, even across the far-flung reaches of the United States. Yes, in the heat of battle sometimes I may have considered you a foe; but please know that I shall never not think of you as friends.

I fear that I may not have the chance to say this again to all of you—the best-laid plans of mice and men oft go awry, and our careful plots unfortunately are no different—so let me say it now. You are some of the best people I know: the cleverest, bravest, and kindest souls I have had the fortune to meet, and I am so honored to have been among your number.

As somewhat of a (hopefully-not) parting gift to all of you, I would like to take the opportunity to present another of my precious countryball group portraits. I’ve been sitting on top of this for a while—if I am to be entirely honest, I had probably finished the greater part of the picture late last summer, and have been just fretting over minor details for the last few months. But I think it is fitting and appropriate that I present it to you before the close of our journey together.

By no means do I believe this is an end. To quote Churchill—It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. Farewell, and until our paths next cross. I hope it is soon.

Sincerely,
Vulp

You men are some of the smartest I’ve ever had the privilege to know. I struggle to find the words to express my feelings. Through any up and down, Nationstates has provided me a safe place in which I could express myself and find common ground. The memories I’ve made scheming and fighting and reading and learning and exploring will be something I cherish for the rest of my days.

In a way that you sort of only find on the internet, Ive counted you all as close friends despite never so much as seeing your faces. I love and appreciate you all. My door is always open for a roleplay, a discussion or even just a hello.

I’m blessed to have known you all and wish you all Godspeed in future endeavors. As I always said to Vulpinas on the eve of wars: Once more unto the breach dear friends.

I'm assuming this is well beyond dead?

A mild interest has resurfaced with me recently, although I don't know much in regards to the rest of you.

Because I was terrible at roleplay and my only saving grace was being able to abuse map mechanics.

That system worked in 99% of cases. You just found the 1% where it broke down.
