Ariusgrad wrote:New Clark City, Philippines: As if by auspicious purposes, Luzon need not to face the wrath of a powerful tropical storm which had disintegrated into a low pressure area on this day, February 22, 2021. And so, the 3rd edition of the Philippine Olympics meets a peaceful, if not chilly, inauguration with what seemed to be the largest yet in regional history. The regional meet, first held in July 2013, had always been conducted primarily in commemoration of the Philippines anniversary as a refounded region in NationStates through the initiative of Delegate and President Ariusgrad.

Energized teams from Andres bonifacio, Ariusgrad, Emperio maharlika, Fort ilocandia, Fort santiago, Geolagarta, Kalayaan and sabah confederacy, Lanaograd, Manilenyos, Seludong, The Luzvimindan Islands, and United Adaikes were raring to go participate in two major events of the Philippine Olympics. One is basketball, the regional meet's mainstay since the first edition, and the other is football, a new addition this year to stress the growing interest of Filipinos to the sport of international acclaim.

Excited crowds, properly observing physical distancing and wearing of face masks, join the millions watching from the comfort of their homes to welcome the Olympics. In its opening address, Ariusgrad expressed hope that the latest iteration highlighting the sportive tradition of the region will be a means towards unity and solidarity between members and non-members alike. Mabuhay ang palakasang Pilipino! Mabuhay ang mga atleta ng bayan!

Philippine Olympics: Bataan Award

For their consistent performance of never giving up despite being in the middle of the pack and winning no medal, the Bataan Award goes to the following participating nations in recognition of their dedication to bayanihan and sportsmanship:

Fort ilocandia
Seludong
United Adaikes

Bataan has been symbolic of Filipino valor as the venue of what was one of the longest holding out actions during the Second World War. While the odds mounted, the unwavering Filipino spirit forged on and created a legend that would carry on for generations.

New Clark City, Philippines: Blessed by sunny weather, the closing ceremony headed by host Ariusgrad went exceptionally well. As the eternal flame subsides in view, the crowds were nonetheless lauding the high technology show prepared for the occasion. From drones to CGI animation, from traditional dances to popular music, from cultural presentations to glimpses of future modernity, the festive mood since the Olympics began has been sustained at a high level.

Excerpt from the host's closing remarks: "In what is probably the largest edition of the Philippine Olympics yet, it is with great expectation that our tradition of bayanihan and sportsmanship permeates not only among member nations, but also those beyond the reaches of the region. Sports, as they say, is a great unifier and a harbinger of peace. Despite the competitiveness, we learn that we are all part of a shared community, with a shared history, and a shared affinity for the well-being of all. It is from the sportive tradition that we have derived hardworking heroes and dedicated heroines who represented the virtues of true champions. For as we enter these games in top form, so should we also have satisfaction that we face the best of the best fair and square. May the Philippines continue to be a beacon of liberty and a symbol of freedom, not only in the political sense, but also in every aspect of life as we know it. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! Mabuhay ang mga atleta ng bayan!"

Even as the Philippine Olympics close, the next edition is already in the talks. By then, it is hoped that even more engagement be attracted to this regional meet made possible through the amity and cooperation of its valued member nations.

Terrible. I made numerous debacles. And now I left because they hate my policy.

Ariusgrad Meron ba kayong discord server?

I read the Constitution of the Philippines, but what I've observed is simply written and not including some of the essential powers, such as the power to appoint, the power to ratify treaties, and all the other powers of the legislature, executive, and judiciary.

The Discord server link is both in the welcome message and the WFE though?

Power to appoint: Section 2 Article 12
Government powers: Section 2 Article 1
Foreign relations: Section 3 Articles 3-5

I've seen regional constitutions less detailed than our own, not to mention the preceding 2011 constitution we had in the Philippines. Maybe larger regions can afford to be more specific, but the setup works so far for us.
