Russian Homeland here.... its a shame to see this region die, it’s somewhat emotional to see. I’m thankful for all the memories I’ve had with you guys here, and I’m currently putting all the experience you guys gave me in a new region called United Faction of Nations. As I’m going to stop using this nation, I felt like it’s final act should be a thank you letter to POLATION, the most glorious region to have ever touched the grounds of NationStates.

AEGIS Alliance

Hello.

As you may have noticed, the region AEGIS Alliance is deconstructing embassies with this region. This is because it has been invaded by the inter-regional organisation known as 'The Legion', and will be used as a springboard for future invasion attempts. I am a representative from this organisation, notifying you of this. We feel the need to tell you this, as you are an alive and active region that it may be of interest to.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you or your region.

It actually wasn't that suddenly. Unless four to five months is suddenly.

"As dead as Nick Colby's film career", as they used to say. But take heart, it'll bounce back quicker than you can say, "Nick Colby? Naw, he ain't dead!"

There’s a much sadder tale out there, one that the film I starred in all those years ago was based on. “Wesley’s Tragic End” was a heartfelt journey, and although I played the man who killed him for having sex with my wife, I knew he was a poor simple man. On set he was a madman, something I hope to never cross again. But I can’t remember if he was being a d*ck or if he was just mad at me for sleeping with his wife IRL.

I must have missed that one. Might have seen the trailer.

It'd be nice if someone would collect all the trailers for Nick Colby films and upload them to YouTube in one long playlist. There must be dozens of them, if not hundreds or even thousands. Even if you don't like his acting, you have to admire his tenacity.

[I've noticed a lot of people, when quoting someone, have refrained to only showing parts of the quote. I didn't think I was gone that long to suddenly notice a new and practically common etiguette.]

Someone was telling me I was in a new movie coming out, and I was like "what the hell, I'm retired. Did they CGI me like they did in Dawn of the Insubordinate Creations of Doctor Beezlebub??? However, it turns out it was a film that was shot over eight years ago. It was canceled after someone contracted measles, I think it was my supporting actress Venessa Couper or maybe it was Fredrick Smith... I can't remember. Either way, it was originally called "Death by Fire, and Love and Hate," but I don't recall what everyone was saying this one was called.

[It makes for a cleaner looking post, less crowded RMB, and helps the flow of the discussion, being able to see exactly which parts the poster is responding to. As long as you don't change their words to have them say something they didn't, except in certain circumstances, for humorous effect, I think it's an efficient system.]

Picked up a bootleg copy of 'Trees: Our Giant Friends!' the other day. It's on VHS but that's okay. This public school documentary is only one of many that a young Nick Colby participated in while paying his dues coming up in the industry. Compared to how many were made, they are still relatively rare to find these days and fetch a pretty penny when you can find someone willing to part with it. His immediately recognizable voice can be heard in such instructional films as 'Mononucleosis: The Kissing Bug!', 'Bellybutton Lint: What you need to know!', 'Put Down That Hammer!', and many others, all of their titles ending with exclamation points, but Colby lives up to the punctuational promise and delivers unforgettable, and loud, performances.

[unless you actually watch my films and this was said on purpose, I am typically louder than my co-actors and tend to play characters that give rather loud and outspoken performances. Since realizing this, I've attempted to tone down and attempt to be more on level with my cohorts. But hey, I'm more of the director and camera guy, I play a role if I can't fill it]

Trees: Our Giant Friends! is one of the most crucial episodes (we didn't really call them films regarding the ! Series), because it was the first time we turned the tables regarding the title. The trees in that film were not friends, and they actually ate and killed almost the entire village its set in. My character Dave, or maybe it was Rick? was one of the last to die but one to die the first heroic death. I just wished the director wanted me to attack the tree with a sword and not a hammer.
