I already know about Assad and half of Africa. Partially our fault, partial internal affairs. I think we should help the people of these countries without putting people in power and then stand back. If problems arise we should rely on distributism to help work out the problem.
No I will publicly shame every damn Socialist and Communist scum I meet. You wanna know why? Because they support a flawed ideology thats killed millions upon millions of people. I wont stand to even listen for one second to a person who believes they could stand for an ideology that killed 60 million (I believe) in gas chamber and 3.5 million of its own people, so I will do both publicly shame and debate Socialist/Communist scum.
Ok to clarify for everybody. I dont hate people who live in communist/socialist countries, but I hate the people who support/uphold it.
You do realize not every socialist/communist is a Stalinist or a Maoist? Or even supportive of a state? Democratic socialists a la Eduard Bernstein were firm opponents of revolution and revolutionary measures and believed in a gradual transition by popular vote. Anarchists oppose the state, and some (like Leo Tolstoy or Utah Phillips) were Christians and pacifists. And socialists and communists didn't kill 60 million people in gas chambers (although the USSR did use gas vans on about 60 people), that was the Nazis (who, contrary to popular belief, were not socialists. The word "privatization" was literally coined to describe Nazi economics). I'm also not sure where you got your death toll estimates, because the number killed is honestly higher than that. Deaths in the USSR under Stalin are estimated to be around 8 million, while deaths in the PRC under Mao range anywhere from like 20 million up to like 80 million or more, probably closer to the upper-middle range of those. And again, not all communists support them, hell I'd argue most don't! Some socialists aren't even communists, like market socialists for instance. Just like capitalists, there are a million different branches of leftism, and they all despise each other. And if anarchists and democratic socialists and left communists and council communists and orthodox Marxists all have to be held accountable for Stalin, by that same logic every capitalist needs to answer for Pinochet and the Bengal Famine etc. Further, if deaths under communism counts how many people weren't able to access goods and services they needed to live or failures of state socialism, what of the Great Depression? What about people who can't afford food or insulin or a home? What of the 6.5 million people in the United States alone right now who are under correctional supervision (prison, parole, probation, etc.)? I'm not trying to say capitalism is evil, nothing's so black and white, but it's unfair to hold all leftists accountable for the actions of certain ones or groups while not acknowledging the failures of capitalism as well. Moreover, if you want to change leftists' minds, the best way to do so is to try and talk with them about, provide facts and counterpoints and such. They may not be willing to accept all the facts that oppose it, much as capitalists often refuse to accept facts that counter their narrative, but it gives them something to think about, and they're not all inhumans so committed to hating freedom and liberty that they won't listen.
So do you guys have a rule against communist nations?
No, I'm communist. You just happened to meet two ardent anti-communists today
Okay yea, I don't like communism and I think capitalism is great and all but do we have to always write a fxcking Shakespeare play every time when we are going at each other? I kinda makes the rmb chaotic. like, c'mon Befreitland.
I’m a history major, an anarchist, and a communist, polemics are in my nature.
In all seriousness though, a country moved here and called themselves communist and multiple people like instantly attacked them for it. I think that’s worse for the RMB than one long post defending my beliefs
Breifetland we've known each other for a while. Imma not ruin the friendship we got going. I also dont have the time strength or sleep to debate people rn. Lmao
Ooh, another new guy, tervetuloa
Ah, Im getting Indian vibes
Philosophical Anarchism as well? The concept that no state/government can actually provide real justification/moral legitimacy as to why they're able to hold power over us, but also believe that systems of government are the best we can come up with to keep crime/people in check and therefore do not believe in abolishing the state? I will gladly debate that states have no moral legitimacy to claim power over anyone all day long, but I still believe we need states to create some form of order from the chaos
Technocracy ftw am I right?
