Nevada Reclaimed!
After recent border activity reported by scouts on our border with the former state of Nevada, recon planes were sent over the state to make sure our border was safe. Instead the planes found thousands of soldiers and armored vehicles massing on Nevada’s southernmost border with California. The commander of Fort Wales, General Raven went dispatches to the other military bases in the region to alert them as well as the supreme leader before mobilizing his 3 Armored divisions, 2 Air fleets, 1 infantry division, and 5 Purge divisions. The enemy numbered 3,000 with 87 Tanks and 24 Artillery from the WW2 Era. While their equipment was outdated it was well maintained and they had the element of surprise on their side. The Nevada forces pushed 6 miles into our our border, killing 300 civilians and 24 border patrol guards. The enemy had spread themselves too thin however and General Raven coordinated with other commanders to cut off the invaders supply lines and surround them. The invaders became besieged in the town of Baker in Death Valley. The siege was short as the blistering heat killed many on both sides but effected the invaders more with a lack of water. Their leader, Commander McAllen was captured and put on trial for war crimes. 2,354 of the invaders were killed, completely wiping out Nevada’s whole military in the process. Our tanks rolled up to the capital of Nevada with barely a shot being fired and Governor Price was apprehended by our troops. After interrogating many members of the army and government, the McAllen went rogue and tried to seize territory for Nevada so it’s people would choose him as leader and stage an uprising. It is clear now that he is an idiot for invading us instead of staging a cue. Regardless Nevada’s citizens were not to blame for their leader’s mistakes and will be integrated like anyone else.
In other border news, the provinces in south Minnesota and Northern Illinois have agreed to merge with our country after our supreme leader offered aid with their current food shortages. With them now in our ranks we have a land route connecting our northern states in the Midwest.
Onto domestic news, the Black Aryana have struck again. They killed the secretary of Treasury in Florida a few days ago with two stab wounds to the chest with a single slash mark over both eyes. Their preference method of killing is with two black daggers as it is their symbol but they have stooped so low as to using bombs and other terrorists weapons on previous victims. Currently they have made only one broadcast proclaiming their intentions but as they have been targeting government officials too now, our supreme leader has made it the top priority for this group to be stopped. A letter has arrived a few minutes ago at our doorstep and the Soulless officers here have confirmed it to be authentic as the handwriting is that of the letters they have received from Black Aryana. Additionally we invite the Airlines of The Lightning Rod Federation to fly to Korpar as part of the deal.

Even then, the Federation ensured that this might just be fear mongering to distance allies around and making them weaker.

In other news, Vietnam Airlines, now renamed to Airfleet Union, has order 6 VAL-3s, the largest and most long ranged that the Union produces. Traveler’s destination options, particularly international ones, will greatly benefit from this.
In other news, a group from Bangkok State University of Technology has created an interesting game on an oscilloscope computer. It is called Meteor Maniac, and revolves around shooting on-screen asteroids using a spacecraft for points. As the asteroids are shot at, they break into smaller ones and can collide with the craft, causing the player to lose.

Like many places province is used to annexation and simply accepts it without any resistance. Though anticlimactic the lack ot resistance makes it easier for Justinian forces to rebuild the roads and infrastructure.

Though most parts of the treaty are rather standard and are about things like the surrender of the local goverment, the number of forces the province can have in its militia, and the restoration of roads and buildings, part of the treaty calls for the creation of an Iberian autonomous area but not in the treaty but somewhere north of it.

Rizzo's War
To understand war you need to understand the motives of those who wage it. Giuseppe Rizzo is a communist, a pragmatist, and a megalomaniac. His reason for waging war is to establish an Italian communist state in his image, and to see it survive untill the end of his life, with every year of ites existence being a symbol of both his marxist ideals and his own glory.
Chairman Alexander V however wages war for a different reason, one older rooted not in the red of communism but in the red of blood older than the other nations. His goal is to restore The Justinian Horde both in terms of prosperity as well as territory. He cares little for devotion because ultimately he views himself as just one of a long list of rules both past and future.

The one constant in Rizzo's territory and his unofficial capital pronvince. The western province is a pronvince molded by Giuseppe Rizzo with every structure bearing some refference to him, some the result of people showing gratitude to the man who turned the omce poor region into a prosperious one, others the result of people being scared to end up like the moderates he slaughters whenever he loses a battle, The povince contains enough supplies to last a siege of years and 10.000 loyal troops. The two things it lacks are a navy and a airdefences.

Before Rizzo conquered the province and beheaded its leader Stefano Bianchi, this province was the wealthiest of the Peoples Army of Southern Italy succesor states, though not he most powerfull one. Though Rizzo claimed that before he died Bianchi had become a follower of Rizzo and begged to be killed to atone for his crimes against the poor, in life Bianchi had been reformer and a capitalist who had been eager to turn his nation into a democratic republic with a strong wellfare system. After his death the province was exploited and its wealth stolen by the communists of the west.

In the days now past this had been the capital of the territory of the warlord Giovanni Gallo, aka the Baron of the PASI. While it failed to become wealthy before Gallo was tortured to death by Rizzo, and was reduced to poverty under his excutioners reign, it did become a center of art and Culture while Gallo was alive and has to some extent remained so,

The eastern province is the birthplace of the Adriatic Front. The Adriatic Front was an ethnic Justinian communist nation that sought to conquer the provinces along the Adriatic, and was briefly the most powerfull Italian state before a series of defeats led to it being pushed back by various other nations before it was conquered by Rizzo. During the Rizzo-Adriatic war over 6000 troops lost their lives with Rizzos 100 surviving troops being the only thing left gaurding the province.

SkyEye V Launch - 27/8/1970
After a week of delay due to shortage of the First Stage Hull, which was manufactured in Can Tho, now in Secessionist lands, the launch of SkyEye V, the penultimate in the program, can begin.
Instead of using the VSR-1, the engineers decided to also test the capabilities of the new 1b version.
The Launch went without problems.
However, when it reached space, a small fuel leak was discovered. Thankfully, it was not enough to cancel the mission, and the payload achieved orbit of 311 kilometers.
Development of the 1b benefitted from the launch, and will focus on polishing the platform before further launches.
Also today, starts the Běnh Minh (Dawn) Crew Capsule program, the first true effort by the USB to put a man into space. The basic shape of the craft has been finalized, and the technical details begin now.

The remaining Justinian troops and allied troops arrive in the province and engage Rizzos forces.
The fighting lasts for several days before a bomb destroys Rizzos headquarters along with him and most of his high command. The remaining leaders surrender.
7000 of Rizzos troops died during the siege of the province, 9.000 Justinian and allied troops were killed suring the siege.

Catching up on what’s going on:
Last time an illegal speech was given by Ivanka Wilder on the 5th of Augustus. The woman spoke was part of the illegal pacifist democratic socialist government located around Dezjnjovgrad. She asked for reform in the communist party senate. She wanted tis so that people could vote for advisers that actually represent the people. She also said that she was scared that our leader was becoming just like his father, mad on power.
While last time our great leader didn’t respond, he finally did the 1st of September. He said that he would not be compared to the tyrant called Dmitry Dezjnjov that sadly was his father. But he does understand that some people might be scared of him becoming what his father was. So he said that he would like an meeting with Ivanka Wilder and others that propose this reform. He wishes that this meeting will educate him on the benefits of elections and to show his heart is in the right place for the people of this great nation.
Well that does sound interesting doesn’t it? Well while our nation is maybe is changing it’s future politics. Our International expansion won’t stop! Just change directions. While last our operation “Freezingly close” went smooth and a new social project named “Life builder” is active for new adults, we must for the first time look to our West. The new operation code named “Closer to swimming” must start our expansion around the pacific.

The third expansion can’t go into effect yet because of a lack of support. The goals of operation closer to swimming were prioritised this month. Next month more expansion into our east will be possible.
Deal life builder has been picking up steam after it was introduced last month. It is supposed to be an deal young adults can take that makes them live and work in the colder more secluded cities of our country. Here they will learn valuable skills and live their life for about 1 to 3 years. During this time, their dream home will be build somewhere they prefer to live after this trip. These buildings must still be under allowed cost of the People’s national building organisation.
Operation closer to swimming:
On the 2nd of September act one of operation closer to swimming has gone into effect.
Act one is located around the South part of the sea of Okhotsk. It’s location was chosen to provide a jumping of point to anywhere around the pacific. While some nations like The Lightning Rod Federation or the Socialist Euraisa union might worry about treating expansion, no worry must be made as we all are under TPTO and can work out problems if they arise. On the Kuril islands: Our troops were split and landed on the biggest islands with the help of the National Alaskan Navy. Most people spoke Russian and because Alaskan is a dialect of Russian this was easy to accomplish. To our surprise, a lot of people were happy to again be part of an official nation. Their recourses were running low, they had no leaders and no safety. With our help these problems were solved.
On the Sakhalin island: Almost the same happened here than on the Kuril islands. Our troops landed with the help of the National Alaskan Navy. Everything was taken under control with ease because their were almost no cultural barriers between us. While They were also happy to have an government again, some northern cities weren’t happy with a our socialist ideas. This isn’t a big problem and will only be of an minor inconvenience.
On the Kamchatka peninsula: While here to was almost no cultural barrier and no real existing government, the area was larger and the cities more spread out, making the annexation a longer and more tedious process than all other locations of our project. Eventually it was still done but one day later.
On the Hokkaido island: While the other locations didn’t have a government, the locals of Hokkaido did. They were ruled by an oppressive god king. The locals were very poor and on at the moment a famine was occurring. Our invasion was targeted at Sapporo were the god king resided and the only real army of 1.000 men were located.
When our men and women landed on the beaches almost no resists was made because no preparations were present for an invasion. In the city the military that kept the locals down took arms and fired upon our army. Our army kept pushing until the entire east side of the city was taken. After this, artillery and bombing was opened upon the kings palace for about 2 minutes. After this, papers in their local language were dropped asking the king to abdicate to save his life.
He came out with his royal protectors with their hand up and were captured. A picture was taken together with one of our biggest soldiers to portray their leader as weak and fallen to loosen resists for the rest of our invasion. Some people still took arms against us but now everything is under control.
247 soldiers died on our side and almost 530 soldiers died that fought for their god king. An march from our soldiers will be made in the capital to remember the fallen. What will happen with the royal family is still unclear. While there is no place for a king in our nation, most people in the area look at him as a god. If we execute him there is a very big possibility for unrest.
Our new project:
The Red Colosseum has been put under construction last month! The 23th of August construction started and is estimated to take 5 months to build. That means it will be ready around January just in time for hockey! Our nation has received official confirmation that the nations of The Lightning Rod Federation and Luperca want to join us in this event. Our brother nation Of marxist russian republics has also conferment that they would like to join our event. The People’s republic Dithmarse has requested details on the event.
The event will contain a game of hockey between the competing nations. Which teams need to play against each other will randomly be chosen and all will be played in the new Red Colosseum. The winning team of the event will gain bragging rights. This isn’t a yearly event, it is just an starting event to introduce the world to our new hockey stadium that will be the biggest in the world.

Texas Reclaimed!
After the leader of the Alperian Union died, his predecessor couldn’t hold Texas together. The citizens of Texas hated the rule of Alperia and preferred our country’s rule over them. Several rebel groups rose up and began fighting the Alperian Union and many soldiers from the military defected with the rebels promises of greater freedom and equality under LRF rule. We only had complete control of Texas for a few days before the Alperian Uprising forced us to let them form their own country. The provinces that we had control over for longer is where most of the rebels were winning the support of the people and take into territory. Several of the groups sent representatives across our border to petition our supreme leader to help them. Our kind and benevolent supreme leader was glad to support the rebels and had General Raven oversee the recapture of Texas but forbade the use of bombers and artillery as it would destroy the cities we were trying to protect. General Raven organized a small but fortified front to liberate each city before moving to take the countryside. By 17 hours into the operation, Texas’s capital had been taken and their leader captured. Their leader ordered his troops to surrender and the war came to an end. Currently we are restabilizing the state and reconstructing it’s former governing structure.
Black Aryana have struck again! 16 more people were found with their signature brands on their bodies. Most notably among the victims are NY Supreme Court Judge Benedict and Lumber Logs Inc. CEO John Stuart. In light of these killings our supreme leader has ordered security for government officials doubled and has issued a bounty of $50,000 for the capture of the Leader of Black Aryana alive. These people are not friends of the poor and the voiceless as they claim, but are ruthless criminals who have killed over fifty people in our country and who knows how many globally. Here is what our government knows. This organization is very well funded and organized. We are unsure who is supporting them but whoever it is has deep pockets and will go to great lengths to keep themselves hidden. We found one of their hideouts in New Liberty and when law enforcement burst through the doors they were met with furious resistance. Aryana’s goons were surprised but they had guns ready and killed 6 officers that came through the front door of the apartment before the lobby was secured. Shortly after, our people monitoring all frequencies coming from the building picked up a radio transmission sent to three hundred thousand addresses saying, “Compromised, Godspeed!” before the apartment exploded killing 19 Aryana agents and 14 officers. Checking the addresses they all led to random buildings with a telephone booth near them which we figured is how they communicate emergency messages. Searching through the wreckage not everyone died. There was a sole survivor in the basement of the building in a corner. The chair he had been sitting on was broken and his left leg had to be amputated by debris but he was alive and crying out in pain when the Soulless found him. He was taken to the nearby military base of Fort Lightning and treated by the best surgeons in the country. After his surgery was completed, the man was taken to our most secure holding cells to rest for a day or so. When he woke up our supreme leader interrogated the man himself for 4 straight hours. The government would not give us the name of the agent in order to protect his family and friends from being killed by either the public or Aryana. What we do know is that the man was broken. Currently the information that was gathered is being sent to the nations Black Aryana mentioned in their letter by encrypted means. The explosives used to detonate the building were found by the bomb squads to be C-4 charges placed on the support beams of the structure to ensure collapse. The building is scheduled for reconstruction after the site has been fully searched. In these trying times it’s important to keep our heads high and help one another. A replacement for the VAL-1 and 2
With the VAL-3 complete, Airfleet Union now has a long-ranged commercial airliner. Now it can focus on replacing the aging VAL-1 and 2s in it’s array.
Built in the 1950s, by 1970 they have become mostly obsolete.
Passengers are complaining about noise, cramped spaces, and ridership is falling by 17% every 6 months on average.
Although a state corporation, AIRUN (the acronym for Airfleet Union) is expected to run on it’s own revenue. With decreasing revenue, it will need to innovate, or die.
The same group that has redesigned the propeller counterpart to VAL-3 into it is now assigned a new task. Designing a medium-ranged airliner from the ground up. There are no prior designs they can take advantage off.

Requirements for the VAL-4 Project is as follows:
- 120-200 passenger cabin.
- At least 5000 km in range.
- Jet Engines.
- At least 20% more fuel efficient than the VAL-2.
First prototypes can be expected in 6 months, and test flights in a year.
Vietnamese Independence Day - 2/9/1970

Tensions In Socialist Euraisa?
Our supreme leader has been focusing more on internal affairs but caught wind that Socialist Eurasia had a succession crisis on its hands after our ambassador sent word to him about it. He issued a statement that if the South Eurasia turns into another Korparian Civil War the LRF will fully back the North with our full military might.
March on Mandalay? - Cut the Fat - 7/9/1970
After the fall of Yangon, the Burmese government retreated to inland Mandalay to continue the defense effort.
Some members of the General Staff has begun to question, why isn't the People's Army of South East Asia striking while the iron is hot, and decapitate the enemy leadership in one swift attack?
The truth is far more complicated. The lightning advance of the units has left two notable enemy salients behind the lines, which may cause havoc if left unchecked. The Burmese aren't stupid. They had concentrated defenses around those salients to grind the PASEA to a halt, then broker peace.
Not so fast though. In a move that will mirror the Fall Geib of Nazi Germany, and Operation Uranus of the Soviet Red Army, Euraisan forces will encircle the salients and leave them to starve, or surrender.
The Project was a success, however, 25-35% of the forces in the salients managed to fight their way out and arrive in friendly lines. This will prove disruptive, as the Burmese still have standing armies.
But no matter, it is now time... to March on Mandalay.
0300. 7th of September. A week after Independence Day, the engines went alive and the barrels start flashing. Using the night and overwhelming artillery, the Northern Army of Burma was crushed in several deep strikes that paralyzed it's command and disoriented it's soldiers. However, the jungle and mountains were no friend to Euraisa, and the opponent was able to inflict serious casualties by way of traps.
The Northern front has been exhausted and cannot help the South.
In the South, encirclement of the smaller bulge had just completed. Union control over Yangon is loose, and reinforcements will need more days to come. The South suffers from too few manpower, while the North suffers from too much that advance becomes a slug.
Still, they had succeed in trapping the bulges and making the men surrender. Honoring the Geneva Conventions, they are treated fairly, and unlike the brutal Pacyfikans with their massed brainwashing, the Union chooses to show them to pros and cons of living in it. The Pros massively outweigh the Cons, of course, and most of them chose to stay here, as they can see that moving back would just buy them a few more weeks anyways.
