The crystal clear waves that lap onto the beaches of Wagadoa always look best in the summer. Wagadoan children and families sit in the sun and bathe in the ocean, while couples walk hand in hand down the sandy shores, as the sun sets and the day draws to a close. Tourists from all over Thaecia and places farther afield, flock to Wagadoa, for a taste of its beauty. Glamorous hotels are dotted all over the island, but Wagadoan citizens have their privacy respected, with tourists only being allowed to visit designated areas.

It was on a warm summer evening when Elvin Gonzales was strolling down the beach, alone, and saw something that would be the biggest threat to humanity since Mount Lamorous erupted and obliterated the entirety of Alsinka in 1953. He could feel the salty breeze on his face, hear the waves hitting the shore and see the first and brightest stars, beginning to show. These little dots sat silently, suspended in the vast purple expanse that was the sky. Palm trees swung in the wind, as if they were dancing to the slow, soothing song of summer. A dirt track hugged the beach, on which a rusty pick up truck rattled along, leaving a cloud of dust in its wake. The vehicle pulled to the side of the track and a man stepped out and released the back panel of the bed. He jumped up and proceeded to set up an object that Elvin thought to be a telescope. Not many people travelled to this area of the island, hence why Elvin took regular walks there. The way the vehicle had stopped, had perked Elvin's interest, so he decided to investigate.

Approaching the pick-up, Elvin could see that the man looked to be in his twenties, like Elvin, and was fiddling around with a fairly large telescope, as Elvin thought. The sun had descended further into the sky now, meaning more celestial bodies were beginning to become visible. The sky had also turned from a deep purple to a dark one, bordering on black.

"Good Evening!", said Elvin as he came close to the vehicle. The man turned around quickly and looked at him for a moment before reaching down and picking up something from the floor of the flat-bed.
"Hiya, mate. I'm surprised there's anyone here, I heard it's a pretty desolate place, which is why I thought it would be perfect for this." He tapped the barrel of the telescope and looked through the eyepiece.
"Likewise, I come here now and again to get away from it all", replied Elvin, gesturing towards the rest of the island.
"Yep, it really does you good to escape normal life. Sometimes, I wish I could be up there", he looked up to the emerging stars, "floating around and watching the Earth turn. It would be a life changing experience."
"I totally agree. Anything in particular you're gonna to observe tonight?"
"Well, you see that comet that has been around for the past few months?", Elvin looked toward the comet in question. It was big news all over Thaecia and the world, it's blue tail could be seen even in the brightest areas of cities. "I've got some inside information", he paused and took a deep breath. "Some scientists are speculating that in a few more months, that will collide with Earth."
"Oh. That's not good at all.", Elvin stared at the comet and imagined the devastation such an impact would cause. "How big is it?"
"One kilometre across. It's name, Australia-B1, is because of it's shape. It looks like Australia."
In an attempt to lighten the mood, Elvin said with a laugh, "Well you know what they say, disaster strikes when 4 Unruly Salmon are seen after the setting of the sun".
The two men looked at the sea. 4 Unruly Salmon could be just seen beneath the surface.
