An offsite forum would be cluttered. But compared to using the forums and communication systems in place on NationStates it would be quite efficient.
Not a cluttered system, too many tabs, larger risk of forgetting password, etc..
The issue with polls is it has to be one at a time, but iwth offsite you can loads at once, and keep record of who won what in which election.

Hi! I was reading this forum, I think an onsite forum is best, at least for now while the region is still new.
The reason why its a week long is so people can actually think about their choices and who they voted for.
In my former region we used an off-site forum where each Department (defence, foreign, etc.) had it's own topic with past and current elections, and who would be running, and aims, etc.
On the contrary, it's best to start using offsite forums now while the reason is new for that very region. That way we can get organized while we're small, instead of having to make a huge transition when we're larger.
Well, the region still has a chance of collapsing. If we use an offsite forum, we already have too much of an investment too early.
