Because Nuremgard is their home. They love their country and they get to live a privileged, comfortable life without the responsibility of governing. If I were to be born a prince, I'd rather be a prince in a constitutional monarchy than a political one.
Also, check the analysis pages. We are one of the most influential countries in the game. Having a non-political royal family helps project our soft power.

I believe that the term for such people is "parasites" unless i miss-understood what you meant. Cause it sounds like the royals dont have any jobs and dont support the society in any way shape or form.
As for a political or non-political royal, i can't really argue against your point.
And finally i have always personally viewed the influence as an "WA" influence, thus utterly pointless XD
And you know what they say, peace through overwhelming military might, something you lack quite a bit :]
The Norsk royals are bound to abide by the three Regal Principles as set out by the Constitution; visibility, duty and functionality. Visibility is being seen by and interacting with their people. Duty is completing their obligations to the state such as representing the nation abroad, taking part in state ceremonies, undertaking royal engagements etc. Functionality is where the royals have a bit more freedom. This is the idea of them making use of their time and money by supporting charitable causes they are passionate about or undertaking jobs that help people (so long as the jobs don't interfere with their other duties.)
They may not have jobs in the practical sense that most people have jobs but their roles in society are unique to the positions they occupy within it. Royals who slack off and don't adhere to the Regal Principles can have their titles and privileges revoked by the government.

The Talking Point
Spanelsko's first free elections in recent memory have been successfully concluded.
Reclassification
Spanelsko was reclassified from Iron Fist Consumerists to a Moralistic Democracy.
Spanelsko's Political Freedoms rose from Rare to Some.
I am sure no one expected this.
Dont take me wrong, we are far from democratic. We are after all an Authoritarian Confederacy of Iberian Republics (ACIR)

New Poll in Zentari, come and vote!
Literally the first issue i get since Autocracy was abolished.
The Issue
While planning the party convention for your re-election campaign your advisers have come to disagree on what the overall feeling of the event should be. They have turned to their natural means of making a final decision: bothering you about it.
“WHAT?!” bellows your Secretary of Defense, Zeus Reid. “Millions of good, decent Spanelskoans are fearful. They face the perils of globalism and an uncertain world order. Now’s our chance to show Spanelsko what a REAL leader does in a time of crisis. Ride into the convention atop a tank, at the spearhead of a full armored vehicle convoy. Mount a three-story tall podium draped in a giant Spanelskoan flag, and promise our people the world!” He pauses for a moment as a vaulting grin creeps up his face. “Literally!”
The Talking Point
The Great Supreme Lord Khan has taken to wearing medal-adorned military uniform in all public appearances.

“There’s no time for half-measures!” declares wide-eyed celebrity architect Harriet Merkel, laying out a rather large floor plan on your desk. “I have plans to install a grand circular skylight above the assembly while expanding the visitor gallery to three full floors. Underneath it all, there’d be no seats, only an unbridled tide of legislators flowing over concentric circles of colour. What better way to illustrate the complexity and beauty of politics unbound?”
The Talking Point
The prevalence of circular logic frequently renders parliamentary observers dizzy.

Not bad... But it depends on what kind of uniform. Fancy dress uniform, combat tunic, or a ragged combat-worn fatigues. ^^;

Trench Coat, Gas Mask (for obvious reason's then just for style) officer uniform inspired by the WW1 (german one's that is) armband, sword, silver knife, 2 eagles (one on the officer hat and the other on the trench coat) black boots and black gloves with as a last detail crimson red night vision installed into the gas mask, cause why not? That last part isn't really about being practical as in more of a style choice and you never know when you need to see at night..... mainly in Iberia.
And what about style comrade young coltsov?
Of course, i mean I do imagine some form of a red army officer uniform for a talking horse, tell me if i am wrong tho.

Hello, all! I've been gone longer than I expected, but I'm still around! I'm dropping by to not only say 'hello' to you all, but also to express my condolences on the passing of Mr. Peter Fonda. You may know him from a lot of different movies, but to me and all the other engines on Sodor, he'll always be remembered for playing Burnett Stone in our only theatrical movie, Thomas and the Magic Railroad. While it likely wasn't Fonda's favorite role, since it got pretty bad reviews and was what Gordon called a "box office bomb" (I hope they were able to fix all those box offices after our movie bombed them; sorry about that movie theaters!), his performance has been mocked a lot (see the Nostalgia Critic's review of our movie), and the movie as a whole has some mixed feelings among us engines, we were happy with Fonda and his performance in the movie overall. I never got to know Mr. Fonda well, and he didn't spend as much time on Sodor compared to some of the other stars, but from what we saw of him, he seemed like a nice man who had a real passion for movies. We wish the Fonda family all the best, and godspeed Burnett!

That's very kind of you, Percy. I'm sure Peter Fonda would appreciate it. Magic Railroad wasn't his best performance, but when you consider what his character's gone through it makes more sense, and it probably would have worked better in the director's cut of the movie.
So how are you, Percy?
Heyo!
