You aren't wrong, though I'm convinced the point of them pushing AI is for that exact reason. Technology can be disruptive, but if you can manage the dissidents with relative efficacy and control a good portion of what's shown you have a much better position.

Nuremgard wrote:I don't see them reforming. I see them taking harsher and more brutal measures to crack down on dissent. And look at how quickly they are assimilating Hong Kong into the regime. Taiwan is next.

Being too harsh can just as easily backfire. People becoming fearful can make them submit, but it can also make them seek change in fear for their own lives being on the line next.

AI will also bring with it severe economic disruptions, which might also be a destabilizing force in China's industrial export-oriented economy. I think people generally overestimate the competence of the CCP, which is why I'm not too confident about them being able to effectively move through the challenges that China will face in this century.

I've decided a little bit more about the Harmonic Mice.
My idea is basically that the "legs" in the above picture of them (back in my other post) are actually full loops. The Harmonic Mice are incapable of disengaging from their cosmic loop. Each "Mouse" is a quantum entity that can expend energy it gains from the Vorton's charge to "discover" the exact spatial coordinates of it's atoms. This, combined with it's bond to it's partner "Mouse", causes it to gain forward momentum that it uses to give the loop itself both stability and angular momentum. This in turn allows the loop to "travel" in the wild across the Interstellar Medium so that it can accumulate more charge.
Some stellar species manipulate this for ultra-efficent drive systems, and the species that built the Berserker Probe that cleaned the Kalaronian Homeworld's Clock was a prime example of it.

Let us partake once more: I desire your ass, medium well and cubed, along with some black coffee

David Lynch: His films manage to terrify me on a primal level, though I enjoy Dune (I do understand that adapting a book like that without the context Herbert was able to give would make the film hard to understand for average moviegoers, especially if they didn't read the book and went in blind).

Battle of Stalingrad: A very bloody affair but an interesting look into urban warfare, especially given its length, the number of men and materiel devoted to it, and parallels with later conflicts like Sarajevo and Vukovar.

Socialism: Personally, I think that it could only work on a regional level and only by pumping it with funds from the national government, but I much prefer our current system with some tweaks.

Relationship with my mother: Very healthy and one where we have mutual respect for one another.

Idk what a Jason Isaacs is so Ima just spill my feelings on the names Jason and Isaac. I don't really have much problem with the name Jason, but Isaac is spelled weird. Imo it should be Izyk bc that's cooler looking imo. I think I might've just found the perfect first name for my firstborn son that I'll never have bc let's be honest why would anyone want to have kids rn lmao. Just look around, Siberia is basically on fire!

I was like 11 when the 2008 primaries were happening so I don't really remember anything from it because it was lowkey before I was really even into politics. John McCain basically won the GOP nomination on that day if I recall correctly, and I'm glad that bloodthirsty warmonger is long gone now. All Republican politicians are/were bad, even before Trump came around. Don't lemme catch you praising the likes of George W Bush or Ronald Reagan, because like all conservative Republicans, they're immensely evil. The best thing Reagan did he did in 2004 when he died.

I don't really interpret the Constitution because let's be real it's not really being followed, at least not the good parts about it. This nation is practically on the brink of collapse, so honestly who cares about a piece of paper written over 200 years ago that obviously no one in power actually reads or listens to.

My plans for next weekend are the same as this weekend: go to work and then go home and avoid the public because the public is Arizonans which are notoriously idiotic.

I'm taking flour and cold water baking my own bread. :P

Jason Isaacs: Loved him as Cpt. Lorca in Star Trek: Discovery even tho he turned out to be the evil guy.
Super Tuesday 2008: I don't think I noticed that day.
U.S. Constitution: if you infringe my rights I am allowed to shoot you with a heavy machine gun
Weekend plans: games and relaxing. :)

Gimmie some lemon. I'll eat it like an apple. A cool glass of Michigan Go Juice would be fine too owo.

Honestly, I don't watch TV so I don't really know this Jason person. However, given that he stared in Star Trek: Discovery I feel pretty bad for him. Capt. Lorca was cool as the kind of "Not Your Starfleet" Captain that Sisko also was in the episodes where he did the immoral thing rather than yelling at someone else for doing the immoral thing.
Too bad they had to fjuck it up by making him /just/ evil rather than a man doing what the The Original Series even had Lincoln acknowledge: "There's no honorable way to kill, no gentle way to destroy. There is nothing good in war except its ending."

I've decided to totally separate from national politics to protect myself from the Clownifying Berserker Probe in orbit, so instead I'll use this section to write about how we've discovered a new class of Stellar Event. Fast Blue Optical Transients are essentially incredibly fast and powerful stellar phenomena. Though we have no idea what causes it, it's suspected that the Star somehow accelerates a massive amount of material (20%+) off of itself akin to a Solar Flare on crack. For comparison, most solar flares accelerate only something on the order of a hundredth of a percent.

As for the Constitution, I interpret it as a bunch of funny jokes reliant on old men to affirm them. If enough people choose to ignore it, how cares what it says?

Next Weekend I hope to snuggle more with my Puppy and she'll hopefully feel a little better. She just got fixed.

So when should we expect reunification?

Bearlong wrote:So when should we expect reunification?

Depends on how you define it I suppose. As I understood it, the split was meant to create two separate zones. So long as we had a place to call our own, and to keep separate from specific and toxic members, we were fine. By a wide definition then, we've already reunified by virtue of me (being the last principle "ring-leader" as Unf described it) rejoining the RMB exclusively. By a more strict definition we wanted a place of our own and still have that by virtue of Discord.
Frankly, I didn't specifically mind having a presence in the region prior to my pseudo-ban as a ring-leader with Tse and Sully, though. We all were pretty supportive of letting people put their alts with us to my memory, though I only really felt a want to get back into NS with some factbook writing recently.

I'll have glass and Fanta.

Simon Cowell is probably the first Brit I remember encountering on TV, and I used to not like him or Gordon Ramsey because they were loud and cussed a lot and I was a little innocent child that didn't wanna hear it. But now, eh I don't really care. Celebrities are useless at least half the time, so I tend to not think about them much.

I'm probably one of the few Zoomers that don't really care for TikTok. Idk it's just kinda annoying how it suddenly became everywhere and all that everyone would talk about. But even before it blew up, their ads being on Snapchat all the time was pretty annoying as well. I don't like ads as it is, and if I repeatedly see your stupid annoying ads, I'm definitely not gunna use your product because f**k you that's why. Commercials and advertisements have always been annoying.

Not as annoying as influencers and whatnot who legit all they do is make stupid videos or whatever on Instagram and TikTok and suddenly they wield massive influence and lots of riches. Meanwhile, I'm just an ordinary derp who does real work and would like to get similar rewards to these influencers. But the thing is, it kinda seems like a lot of them were rich to begin with. Like the dad of that Charli chick and her sister Dixie is like worth over $2 million and also a registered Republican who recently ran for office (and fortunately lost) in 2018 in their home state of Connecticut (ah Connecticut, an absolutely awful state full of awful affluent people, why am I not surprised?). So if a TikTok ban can make it so the children of a stupid Republican go away and have to get real jobs, then ban TikTok all over the place!

Because let's be real, I may absolutely detest the Democratic Party for how corrupt and hypocritical they are, but Republicans are the Devil if the devil exists. No mercy for Republicans. If you're still a registered Republican in 2020, you definitely need to get your brain checked. The only people who would still be proud Republicans are fascists and the rich. And of course, both of those groups are absolutely awful and tend to work together. So instead I'd like to see them suffer because they've caused so much suffering throughout the ages. Please somebody bring out the guillotines! :D

Yeah Merc is lowkey a simp. But still lovable tho.

Idea I had, wide arrays of Phazite (wide meaning stretched across a certain arc) can produce more powerful beams of light, but as a result of internal imperfections it also scatters it across a slightly larger frequency range. Narrow arrays (like a big flash-tube) offers less utilizable energy capacity (The wider the array the more total electricity you can pump into the initial laser without fear of overheating a specific section. The opposite is true of narrow arrays, where the heat "magnifies" due to build-up of the beam.
So the Crayton is going to have it's huge railguns removed (I like the angry tööb too, but it's a huge thing for what's meant to be a light vessel) and replaced with angry lämps

Also, I want to expand on my idea for Quantum Lifeforms. If there'd be one that survives on stable phenomena (Charged Vorton Rings) then why not have them be in higher dimensions too, akin to a sea whereas the Vorton Loops are like pools or isolated pools . I don't want to use Tardigrades though because my idea is increasingly similar to Star Trek Discovery (but avoids making Mushrooms fifth-dimensional god creatures so w/e) so instead I'm going to name the most placid quasi-tardigrade shaped creature the Tetra-dimensional Pug for their "fuzzy" shape, squashed forms and tendency to "snort" out as a weapon.

Simon: You sound like a dying seal

TikTok: pure cringe, but banning it seems a bit too much and could set a precedent

Simps: better than incels, but they need to actually just find the free porn sites instead of paying e-thots
