The angel of charity

Shavara wrote:The angel of charity

Diego Manzanedo is on the ground, bleeding, and sword dropped. His reaction was unexpected when Hajira gave him mercy and refusing to finish him off, it was not part of his plan. He was going to die anyways trying what he wanted or had to do. His vision is being a bit blurry.

[I... I did not expect this, I thought this was a duel to the death, not a puny mercy giving street fight...]

He looks at his bleeding chest, he's losing cells required for a body to function, Manzanedo has thought of something...

[Well, if this duel was meant to be for death... well I'll do it, I really hope I wake up in Heaven to meet our lord and savior, God. Fubuki is now yours, Hajira.]

Instead of standing up and accepting defeat to continue living, he accepts defeat by dying of blood loss and some cut bones. He closes his eyes with an even more blurry vision, he stops feeling the rest of his body, while his consciousness continues functioning, but slowly fading away. He dies, with his body still bleeding for a short while, and then stopping. His blood flows around.

OOC: I decided to kill off my character by blood loss. Is it okay?

This was a really good post, no objections.

Kryoximillian studied the paper with a mix of a carefree and worried additude. He'd been planning this celebration since his inauguration to become the Royal Premier of Vastar. His Royal Advisor, Fuhrguss, stood in front of his Premier. Fuhrguss was a man in his late forties and spoke in a Gorbastani accent. Kryoximillian looked up at Fuhrguss with an impressed expression on his face. "Fuhrguss," he called. "This telegram is perfect." He got out of the black office chair and stepped out from behind his polished oak wood desk. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

Fuhrguss smiled warmly, keeping his hands behind his back. "I appreciate your praises, sir. But all the work was done by the local telegrams office. I only oversaw their labor." Kryoximillian stuck out his hand, which Fuhrguss complied to shake. The Premier went back to the telegram and read over it again. "Do we have an appropriate forecast on who will be attending?"

Fuhrguss withdrew his hand and put it behind his back again. "We were expecting the San Sierran president and Empress Hajira of Charitia to attend, however that looks uncertain."

Kryoximillian looked around his office at the sound of that. The room was large, with a big floor-to-roof window covering the entirety of the wall behind his desk. The walls to his left and right bestowed wall mounted shelves which displayed family pictures, which were freshly dusted this morning. There was a small potted plant on his large desk, freshly trimmed and watered this morning, too. Next to it was a framed picture of him and his only child, Princess Siiri, age twelve.

Kryoximillian picked up the picture frame and stared at it for a bit. He looked back at Fuhrguss. "I wonder how Siiri will react to this. She hates large crowds, especially at a formal gathering."

"Don't put your mind to it, Titus." Fuhrguss said in a comforting voice. "Siiri will be alright. She still has plenty of time to adjust to this type of lifestyle."

Kryoximillian nodded and set the picture frame down gently on his desk. He then handed the telegram back. "Make sure to make plenty of copies. I'll let you oversee the work again if you like."

Fuhrguss gripped the paper from Kryoximillian's hand, nodded, and left out of the office.

Strikes Ravage the Empire

Today, starting at 01:00 PM, a massive series of strikes and protests broke out in many of the Empire's largest cities.

According to the protestors, the majority of them believe the Iron Kingdom is becoming an overly oppressive regime, citing the changes in police numbers and increase in censorship that has come with the rise of the Kingdom. Many other protests revolve around the "Population Expansion Endeavor Program", more commonly known as Birth Farms, which many cite as not only a gross violation of women's rights, but as a corrupt way to reward those loyal to the crown, and create soldiers for the purpose of being thrown into the "meat grinder" during wartime.

A less common, but abundant complaint has also stem from several who support Rumstern or even the ideas of the late Valik Arun. At the moment, the Kaiserin is yet to respond to the protesters, however military and police numbers on the highways of the Empire and within the streets of the cities, have swelled to enormous numbers.

Thought that was normal for you, no?

Return to Halloweentown - -1 (TV, not theater, release)

A lot of you seem to have misread this as either "name a Halloween movie" or "name a Disney TV movie". We've managed to get a three-way co-SHEEP, and since nobody received a very high score, this probably won't affect much. Bart's troll answer is not going to get him many points, although I expect someone is going to point it out to his intended target.

Standings as of Round 11:

1st: Ash (108)

31st (+1): East Aluetia (35)

34th: Longbowe (12)

Everyone below Bobogoobo is mathematically eliminated, which means we have a larger group of survivors than usual going into our final round. The top three don't move at all, though there's some reorganization lower down and Bobogoobo drops three places more due to bad luck than bad answer, as there were 13 answers given which produced fewer points. Next time: Final results!

- The penultimate round is here. Half the players are mathematically eliminated. Follow along here -

Welcome to Think Same! This will be five concurrent games, all of which are played with one set of answers. They will be:

1. Highest scoring player
2. Highest scoring team (total of players' scores)
3. Highest score within each team (i.e. how you would do if your score was only compared to those of your team)
4. Most SHEEPy player (we'll get to that later, but it means highest number of SHEEP answers)
5. Most SHEEPy team (total SHEEP answers)

So, how does one play Think Same? At the bottom of this post will be a link to a Google form, which you will fill out according to an hono(u)r system. The goal is to answer the same way as your comrades, and particularly those in your team. You will receive a number of points equal to the number of people who answered the same as you for each question- provided the answer is correct. The most popular answer is called the SHEEP. Now, suppose you give an incorrect answer. You then receive negative points equivalent to the number of people who answered that wrong answer. So, let's say six people are asked to name something that normally lives in the ocean. Three people say "Shark"; that is the SHEEP answer and they receive 3 points each. One person each respond with "kelp" and "squid" and receive one point each. One person responds with "Werewolf" and receives -1 points for giving a wrong answer. Each question works the same way.

This version is a bit different than usual; our normal meme teams have been replaced by TRICKS and TREATS. TREATS will receive bonus points equal to 1/10 the number of players (rounded to the nearest whole number) at the end of the game. Anyone who picks TRICKS will receive a random number between -4/10 and 6/10 the number of players added to their score at the end of the game. This means that if we have 30 players, all of team TREATS receives 3 points, while team TRICKS members receive between -12 and 18 points.

The honor code: By playing Think Same, you agree to not disclose your answers to any player save the organizer (Marinas Island) between the posting of this form and the closing of responses. You agree to bring any issues to the attention of the organizer as soon as you find them and not to challenge the outcome if you do not do so. You agree to only submit one set of answers. If you wish to dispute the ruling of an answer as correct/incorrect, you agree to bring it up with the organizer via forum PM, NS telegram, or Discord DM. If you want clarification on any question or to modify an existing answer, you agree to bring it to the attention of the organizer via forum PM, NS telegram, or Discord DM.

The game will begin in one week (7 days). The game can be found here:

The independent military organization

I’ve decided that Valsora needs a free lance military mercenary group. They will just be guns for hire/spies/sabetours. Anything that the normal government can’t do without getting in trouble.

This is meant for EVERYONE to be able to use.

I just thought Valsora needed a truly independent and permanently unallied country/organization-Rage mage

The Honor Guards bring him through the Capitol, magnificent paintings of past generals and leaders on the wall, and the walls and archways beautifully constructed. They bring Gunter up on the 2nd floor to a group of offices, knocking on the door to the Minister of the Treasury. After a few muffled words behind the door, the Minister inside yells for them to come in. The lead Guard opens the door.

“Honor,” The Guard exclaims, slamming his right fist into his chest in a form of salute. Minister Brosch gets up from his swivel chair. “Honor,” he says back, then returning the salute. He nods to the guards who let Gunter in, and then close the door. The Minister stands beside his chair and motions to one of the chairs in front of his desk. “Take a seat, make yourself comfortable.”

Gunter bows slightly. “It is a pleasure to meet you. I’m glad that the OU was open to trade discussions.”

He takes a seat in a nearby chair.

“I apologize for the crazy way this ended up being pulled together. I decided to take a little cultural learning trip about your nation.” he says with a smile.

“I believe that the only way to truly learn about ones nation is to be there among its people. My low popularity in the world currently helps me move around without anyone doing something to impress me.”

“Suppose that’s smart. And because of this trip of yours, I’m sure you understand that the Sarge and the Honor Party is the boss?”

Louis Alderman doesn't look up from his sheafs of papers unless it is to look at the screen of his laptop. The Raiders stand behind him and an aide pulls out a chair for the diplomat.

Greetings, leaders of Valsora!

The Sennheiser Union is inviting you to 'A Week of Thanks,' a seven day long Thanksgiving celebration hosted by none other than the Premier of Vastar, Premier Kryoximillian III. He would be much delighted to hear your attendance!

The Thanksgiving celebration shall be held in the Vlascar Palace in the Vastar Federation. There will be plenty of activities to treat yourself to over the week and weekend, ending with a large Thanksgiving feast.

We hope to see you at the dinner table!

Please be advised, this telegram is for headcount purposes at the moment. A second telegram will be sent out to those who will attend.

Next week, telegrams are sent out to every active country in Valsora.

Post created by Ancobristan, member federation of the Sennheiser Union.

Don't send anybody yet. This is just to get a headcount on who's all attending the event.

Lord Protector Louis Alderman promises to attend along with a string of advisors and powerful politicians.

Eh. We can all agree that some deserve it. As long as it isn't just tossed around for no reason, I see no problems.
