Levantin wrote:Morning in Levantin

Crowds march down the streets of the Martyr's Circle in Tel Ayn chanting in Arabic. President Bachir Al Petra has officially announced the end of Levantine subservience to the West.

"Death to the great enemy!"

A light smoke drifts above the crowd as dozens of San Sierran, Brethren, Felterian, and Kampf flags are burned before the Presidential Palace.

"Death to San Sierra! Death to imperialist pigs!"

Tourists from foreign nations on the other side of Valsora are dragged out of hotels and kicked in the streets. Mobs surround various embassies, throwing bricks and tear gas at foreign dignitaries. Around sunset, the Brethren embassy is set on fire. At least 80 foreigners including various embassy staff and tourists have been injured. 6 are dead and 3 are being held hostage.

With Sword attempting to regroup, the Admiral Barry knows he must take immediate action lest the fleet be destroyed. With less then half of the sword fleet remaining in fighting condition, the still strong Kilkirian fleet turning their guns onto the enemy vessels. With most of the skies under the control of the Kilkirian Air Force, bombers and fighters utilize this to open up hell from above. Below the waves, neither side is able to gain the advantage over the other. Even with just the two fronts controlled by the Kilkirians, the battered and wrecked Sword fleet is able to hold for a while, but eventually their previously reckless and even suicidal maneuvers cost them. The superior Kilkirian fleet smashed through their right flank, and quickly exploited it to force it open, as the ships began attempting to retreat through the opening. However, this was far from without cost. From the intensive enemy barrage, and Sword subs targeting the carriers, one of the three remaining regular carriers was overwhelmed by the fire, and paralyzed. Seeing no other option, the crew scuttled the vessel, and most escaped to other ships.

The burning wrecks of ships mount as the Hammer and Sword fleets continue to barrage the larger Kilkirian fleet. The only place where Kilkire sees almost all success is in the skies. The coalition air force managed to quickly and violently whittle down the enemy air force, thanks to their dangerous tactics. With the goal of the war still on Levantin proper, long range bombers begin soaring overhead; pounding major airbases and infrastructure. These bombers take off from northern Nua-Connorland, so they are not reliant upon the carriers. The attacks from the Hammer fleet to the Kilkirian one remain most effective, but as the shock of the attack wears off, a more solid defense is adopted as the vessels retreat from their dangerous position between the two fleets.

With General Barry hearing the reports coming in of the imminent destruction of the carrier, he pulls out every stop in order to prevent the destruction of this Capital Ship. The newest ABM defenses installed upon the ships are deployed, with naval helicopters, fighters, or anything else that can fly being ordered to take those birds down. Some pilots resort to the ultimate sacrifice to save the war effort, taking a missile down with them. The ABM defenses prove almost entirely successful, but, it seems that it was all for naught. One missile out of the many makes it past the desperate defense of the Kilkirians, and comes within meters of hitting it's target. Although not a direct hit, the damage still takes out most of the fighting capability of the super carrier, even thought the ship will not join so many others at the bottom of the sea, the ship was forced to retreat back to Dublin for repairs.

Armageddon at Sea

Task Force Sword

Task Force Sword, broken and battered, split in half by Kilkiran attacks, is still determined to fight on to the bitter end. Its few remaining destroyers, cruisers, and submarines launch last ditch attacks on either side of the retreating Kilkiran force. The barrage of torpedoes and missiles continues as the remnants of "Sword" move in. By now, even the destroyers are attempting to ram enemy vessels. Every man in the task force knows he will perish today, there is no hope of survival in battle like this. Every man is willing to die for Levantin.

Task Force Hammer

Task Force Hammer is far from defeated and still is on the verge of possibly defeating the Kilkiran imperialists. With Kilkiran formations holding their ground, submarines, missile boats, and frigates are able to move on the rear of each individual group and launch devastating barrages of homing torpedoes, anti-ship missiles, and high explosive shells from an excellent angle. Meanwhile, destroyers and cruisers in the front bombard the enemy with fleets of cruise missiles and powerful long range armor piercing shells. Marine Helicopters launched from ship decks move in on their targets prepared to take out key weapons with their rockets and heavy machine guns. Rear Admiral Al-Misr presses the attack, sensing victory in his sector. Electronic countermeasures are fully activated to further confuse the enemy as this crucial battle unfolds.

Ballistic Missile Barrage 2: Electric Boogaloo

Seeing the success of the strike on the Kilkiran supercarrier, the Levantine Homeland Command orders silos to fire on all remaining Kilkiran carriers in the area. Dozens of deadly ballistic missiles, each single missile capable of putting a ship out of action, are launched. Admiral Al-Misr smiles from the deck of his flagship as he watches them streak overhead towards the enemy carriers.

Desert Skies

Radar and early warning detection stations across Levantin pick up approaching Kilkiran aircraft. As these enemy craft soar over the tan hills and deserts, SAM batteries fire scores of deadly missiles that streak towards the Kilkirans and lock onto their targets. Soldiers in bases believed to be targeted, are ordered to head to bunkers. Valuable materiel and military equipment is moved to safety. Despite the precautions, the Levantine Homeland Command has no intention of letting enemy craft anywhere near their bases. Air superiority fighters are launched from airfields in case the Kilkirans get past the deadly array of SAM batteries scattered across the country.

Would you be ok if I took action?
Or would you rather I wait for all intensive OOC purposes?
