Speech Delivered By Ahan Shetty of Ashoy. August 5th MMXX before The General Protectorate Ministry of The Vapula Prolex

"Ladies and Gentleman.[Chaírete] (Hello). I am honored to be here on the land where secularism, human rights and freedom are held sacrosanct-Demonos! When I first decided to embark on this diplomatic tour, I was in a big dilemma. Which country should I begin from? After a lot of thinking and introspection, The Principality appealed to me the most. Her Excellency, Lady Vera was kind enough to let me visit her genial nation. She was filled with excitement and hospitality and made it her own mission to make my trip the most comfortable. I express my gratitude to Her Highness Lady Vera for her kindness and generosity. My fellow Ashoyians, you have made our country proud by abiding with the laws of Demonos,respecting its culture and above all, respecting its masses. Ashoy and Demonos have been strategic partners for about 700 years. That is quite long! It is believed that the two countries had flourishing trade betwixt them. However as time passed, the world changed and the two countries slowly but surely lost contact. My visit to Demonos marks the revival of the prehistoric friendship between Ashoy and Demonos- A friendship built on trust,cooperation and ethics. Friends, I am happy to announce that our nations have agreed on a visa free travel agreement which will allow Ashoyians and Demonosians to travel between the two super powers without any restrictions! Also, Ashoy has decided to invest 150 Billion Atins into the Information technology of Demonos. This investment will provide a lot of employment to our brothers and sisters of Demonos. The two nations have also agreed on a joint military drill that will help Ashoyian and Demonosian Defense Forces to be prepared for any unexpected incursions. Lastly, the two nations have also agreed upon the removal of trade restrictions which will help revive the flourishing trade that took place over 700 years ago! My fellow Ashoyians, our nations have embarked on a new journey- a journey of friendship which will surely last for an eternity! Its been a pleasure meeting the Ashoyian diaspora in Demonos.

MINISTERS of The Principality, The Imperial Republic of Ashoy has come before us seeking visa-less passage between passport holders of Demonos and Ashoy and our mutual territories. This would mean that citizens of Ashoy will soon be among us. Those of Ashoy will come to participate in our Information Technology Industries as they have voiced a keen interest in our outstanding specialties of interstellar communication and subterranean wireless intranet technologies. Beyond this they have voiced a keen interest in our demon culture and art.

MINISTERS, Ashoy clearly indicates that they wish to establish other structures. Trade between The Imperial Republic and The Principality’s industries. The Principality is a socialist, AI-backed, centrally planned economy. We must speak now of what this means for The Crux.

WE COMMAND the DEMONOS ECONOMIC MINISTRY EXECUTIVE, To form a foreign monies treasury. ALL currency traded for Crux must be deposited and given compensation to greater than market value price. We further command that ALL foreign monies be accounted for upon entry of The Principality from Ashoy.

WE COMMAND THE MAGISTER OF CUSTOMS AND IMMIGRATION, to take account of all monies entering from abroad. Foreign bearers of alien currency notoriously and legally entering Demonos MAY NEVER be deprived of monetary possession. NO FEE OR TAX may be imposed upon bearers of ATINS. We further command that THE MAGISTER open an exchange booth at ports of entry to offer exchange of alien currency to CRUX based on fair market value. We further commend that ASHOY PASSPORT HOLDERS be granted entry without the need of a visa approved by the Demonos ministry of foreign affairs.

WE COMMAND THE MINISTRY OF LABOR, to form a committee and produce, before the next full moon is out a foreign industry investigation. The Imperial Republic of ASHOY will begin sending entrepreneurs to our lands looking to set up industries alongside our Information technology. WE COMMAND THE MINISTRY OF LABOR to work with the DEMONOS ECONOMIC MINISTRY EXECUTIVE to program our industry for the influx of foreign investment.

WE COMMAND THE DEMONOS DEFENSE AGENCY to work alongside Ashoy to perform military drills and war games that reflect sentiments of allegiance and friendship. We further command the THE MAGISTER OF DEFENSE to work alongside Ashoy chiefs of military staff to benefit the defense of our mutual countries in the spirit of peace and mutual prosperity.
