RP: Howdy Neighbor

The emergence of a new state to the north of Concordaia has prompted the diplomatic corps to quickly scramble under direction of Chief Castellan Arthorpe. An official missive to the government of United states of andrensia has been sent out on behalf of Concordaia, offering the mutual recognition of each other's sovereignty and the establishment of embassies.

Icewindia wrote:RP: King Hemlock asks again... and situation.

King Hemlock attends Parliament alongside Solis and Wolfy to work with Parliament during this Crisis. He has the Will of King Wallace however he is not sure it will matter given King Regent Rule had been Illegal. Technically rule should of passed down to Napoleon by Esolda's wishes long ago but the Normal Medevial Natural Succession should pass to Hemlock.

King Hemlock merely wants his Marshall Role back. Only person who can legally do that is Queen Wolfy given Wallace is dead. Funeral is still being set up in Wolfengrad. The Power-struggle is intensifying as Army and Navy look to Hemlock and Catherine for Guidance. With Royal Guard backing Wolfen 1st Claim and Samurai backing Napoleon 1st Claim to throne.

There is still the Funeral's and Election Planning. King Hemlock is still setting up the Funeral all they need is Royals to gather and set a Date to host Funeral.

Fringe Humanist group and Communist Party Icewindia is using chaos to recruit and Protest demanding Elections Wallace Promised. The Situation has leaked to Blayredeshia and neighboring Evve terre as Power Struggle is ongoing. IIS has no idea who to listen too. Icewindian Stock Market is filled with uncertainty as most people refuse to sell or buy trying to wait and see. Without Hemlock leading Army along with most Army in Hycheon or abroad and Icewindian Fleet distracted with Hycheon War there is an Rare opportunity. Icewindia is very vulnerable.

RP: Stabilizing the Front
Not wanting the situation in Icewindia to turn into another Windardia; General Hill has reportedly begun taking measures to assume command of Icewindian Forces in Hyechon as to focus the military’s full strength on his current invasion of North hyechon. Rumors persist that the General has called meetings with his Icewindian counterparts in Hyechon to gauge their views of the power struggle in Icewindia and to ensure their loyalty to the cause of anti-communism in Hyechon.

RP: Stabilizing the Border
Meanwhile, under the guise of protecting the stability of its eastern neighbor, Emperor Blayre V has issued a proclamation offering Icewindian leadership to send in troops across the border to provide “stability, safety, and protection to all the native peoples of Icewindia.” Shortly after this proclamation was made; the veteran 5th Army still comprised of many veterans who served in The gatisland under the leadership of General Andreas Karloff, began positioning itself on the southern border between Blayredeshia and Icewindia. Many took notice of the move as the Emperor himself joined Karloff’s army and was seemingly waiting for a response... or lack thereof.

RP: 2nd Oradea Accords
Oradea, PGR - Under mounting internal and external pressures, the PGR and RFO have met for a second time in Oradea to discuss a potential alliance against mounting Socialist pressure from the north. However the four weeks long meeting went significantly better than expected, with the RFO agreeing to join the Provisional Government in return for partial control of government. The unification of the two sides was seen as natural by both faction's leaderships as the two groups shared similar democratic-minded ideologies. The Accords were celebrated by the populations of both factions, who hoped the unification would bring an end to at least some of the fighting. In addition the military command of the PGR was glad to now have access to the materiel caches that had been lost during the fall of Iasi and Tirgoviste. Though not everyone was happy with the merger, the RFO sect operating near Navodari and Timisoara rejected the unification and would, for a short time, continue operating independently.

RP: Operation Liberare
The unification of the PGR and RFO into a single faction posed a significant threat to the Socialists in both the north and south; this threat of a combined PGR and RFO had provided the Northern Socialist Alliance an opportunity to unite the leftwing factions in response. In a series of clandestine meetings, the leaders of the 13 most powerful leftwing factions discussed the conditions of unification and drafted what would become the greatest operation of the civil war thus far: Operation Liberare. On October 11th the Council of the Northern Socialist Alliance, the faction's governing body, issued a proclamation in Arad announcing the unification of 11 of the 13 leftwing factions-- two factions had opted to stay out of the alliance but agreed to cooperate on Operation Liberare. From that point on the Northern Socialist Alliance would be known as the Socialist Federation of the Rumanian States (SFRS). The proclamation not only acted to warn of the unification, but it also announced the beginning of Operation Liberare. Not even twenty minutes had passed since the Arad Proclamation when bombs began to fall; aircraft seized by the SFRS had launched a sudden attack against several minor factions operating along the periphery of the SFRS and PGR. Following the air assault, thousands of soldiers would spring into action, sweeping into the minor factions. Supported by artillery and mortar fire and with the aid of improvised mechanised and armored units, the troops would soon sweep through many of the minor factions, seizing control from them in a matter of days. The only faction to mount successful resistance was the Christian League near Ploiesti, which succeeded in stalling the SFRS offensive and forcing a stalemate. Nevertheless the operation continued on, the next target: the PGR. The PGR stood as the last major faction and divided the peninsula between north and south. If the SFRS were able to break through the PGR and link the north with the south, the war would most certainly be over for the PGR, regardless of foreign support of superior equipment. And so, with this in mind, the 2nd phase began.

The invasion of the PGR saw immediate success, the sudden air, land, and artillery assault was successful in uprooting the tired and poorly prepared Provisional forces. Invasion from the north and south progressed, albeit significantly slower than in the previous invasion as the SFRS forces were harried by artillery and aircraft in their invasion. At one point in the north, 5 miles north of the city of Mangalia, the SFRS force were able to shatter the PGR, forcing a surrender and opening up a direct route to Galati, the capital. As word of the breakthrough reached the government, the leadership fled Galati to the much more secure city of Constanta. Luckily, however, the breakthrough was halted by Schwypian forces, who had been ordered to act as a fallback in the case that the PGR defenders broke, or were pushed back. In fact, as the invasion stalled after several weeks of non-stop combat, it appeared that the frontline in the north rested along areas where Schwypian forces had been deployed. The Schwypians had, by the grace of god-- and their professionalism, saved the PGR, at least for now. With Operation Liberare over, it became clear that the PGR was on it's last legs, the military was significantly battered and a sudden wave of SFRS backed terrorism had spelled issue internally.

RP: Life in the War
It was no longer food which was an issue, the days of famine had passed, as the war wound into it's fifth year the people had become, not accustomed, but certainly not unfamiliar with life under the stresses of war. Of course, the situation varied greatly depending on where one lived, but for the most part the civilians had become as normalized to war as one can get. The feeling of normalcy was possible as, until Operation Liberare, the frontlines, and thus the majority of the fighting, had remained stagnate and the areas under constant fire had been evacuated. That meant that the majority of civilians, regardless of whether they lived in the city or countryside, lived in a sort of peace. Routines and daily life had adapted to the conflict, though this would change with the start of Operation Liberare. Operation Liberare shook up the system because all-of-a-sudden factions were being invaded, frontlines were moving, and cities were being captured. For those living in minor factions this shake-up would only last a short while, as the invasions usually only lasted at most two or so weeks, all the civilians had to do was survive the invasion and adjust to their new leaders. Of course some chose to flee, mostly those who feared persecution, while other, those who supported their factional ideology, joined underground guerilla/terrorist groups. However, unlike the civilians of the minor factions, the civilians living in the PGR would not only have to worry for two-or-so weeks, the invasion of the PGR was stopped. Because the PGR never fell, the fighting didnt stop, mortars, bombings, etc. still happened on a daily basis, skirmishes along the frontlines. The civilians of the PGR were once again under fire.

RP: Casualties of War and Other Things
Libertatea had been keeping track of the conflict since it's beginnings and had published reports of their rough estimations of casualties, refugees, and other such things. Currently, according to their most recent report for 2148, over 3.7 million civilians have been killed directly or indirectly as a result of the war, broken down their deaths can be categorized as such: (approx.) 900.000 million as a direct result of fighting, 600,000 from crime against humanity/sentients, 900,000 as result of famine, 700,000 from disease outbreaks, 600,000 from other causes such as terrorism. Around 600,000 soldiers have died, with the largest number by far occurring during Operation Liberare. Over 1 million have fled the nation, with around 800,000 having fled to Dwarf land4 and 200,000 to Icewindia, another 27 million remain internally displaced.

RP: Thousands Protest Squalor Conditions in Liranaholm Refugees Camps
Angered by the squalor conditions in refugee camps and the Lirana's attempts to "indoctrinate" them, thousands of Rumanian refugees have begun protesting their treatment by the Government of the Liranaholm. Thousands of Rumanians across the various camps have all begun protesting the conditions, demanding the government take action to improve the standard of living after it was reported that a cholera outbreak had killed several refugees. Suicide rates among the refugees are extraordinarily high as many feel that they are without anyway out and many, having fled conflict, resent the idea of joining a military, much less a foreign one. RP: Campaigning

It would’ve been a few months since the election campaigns started, and the candidates would be busy as ever. József would be hard at work holding rallies, speeches, etc. to try and take potential voters away from the other 2 candidates. Meanwhile, Ernst and Karl would hold fewer rallies and speeches, but were in a lot more meetings, especially with some foreign delegations, and had potential to gain the support of some foreign governments. For the meantime however, József’s support would grow immensely, giving the left hope for Ansalonian democracy.

Dmitry hated his job. The security firm that he had been hired by had entered a deal with ZiS, meaning he had to sit out in a freezing booth and protect a political party that was likely the most destabilizing force in Conglagateian politics. Being a staunch Federaly supporter, this made him furious. There wasn't much he could do besides quit, however, and he had been at this job for fifteen years.
As he thought about this, a car parked a few meters down the road. Its occupants piled out. He realized, seconds too late, that one of them was holding a firearm. Before he could react, they put six bullets through the window of his booth, knocking him to the floor. He stuck to the ground, reaching for his own firearm, but paused. His last conscious seconds were spent looking confusedly at a expanding red blotch on his shirt.

FLAMES ENGULF LAW AND NATION HEADQUARTERS

In a coordinated attack, seven armed men surrounded headquarters of the political party Law and Nation in Ulvangatar. After killing four security guards at the cost of one of their own, the perpetrators threw petrol bombs at the building, lighting it on fire. The flames consumed the lower levels of the building. After attempting to flee the scene, the remaining six perpetrators committed suicide after being surrounded in their car.
The sudden attack lead lead to the deaths of 18 people, including the terrorists. Police investigators have begun investigating a link between this attack and a fringe, far left party called the "Conglagateian Vanguard Party". The news of leftist involvement is threatening to affect the elections to the Rada and Senate this summer, even for parties not involved...

RP: Bredak Street
After a series of violent, politically charged murders in the city of Lazko, angered residents took to the streets in protest of ZiS' encouragement of political violence. Counter protesters representing ZiS organized and opposed the protest at Bredak square, shouting racially charged insults and calling their opponents "SerEth Stooges". The situation quickly turned into a brawl when a gunman, allegedly on the ZiS side, shot and fatally injured a woman participating in the protests.
Lazko police violently and aggressively dispersed protesters on both sides, utilizing water cannons and rubber bullets. 25 people were injured as the rioters eventually dispersed, not before several markets and stores were looted. As elections for the Rada and Senate approach however, it is naive to assume the situation regarding political violence will get better.

It didn't take long for the lines of the People's Guerrilla Army to falter to the torrent of Blayredeshian military power. Before they knew it, the westerners were approaching the North and quickly. Before the Blayredeshians could reach them, Kang Hyeong-Suk ordered the valuable armored units who had been chipping away at the Busan Perimiter to fall back to the Demilitarized Zone to take advantage of the fortifications that remained. Knowing full well they'd be slaughtered, the guerrillas that left would be tasked with forming organized and unorganized resistance, with skirmishes definitely buying the People's Army valuable time to re-organize and re-conscript. Even in impossible situations, the acts of pure martyrdom shook the west to its core as everyone from Northern schoolchildren to Southern women gave their lives to sabotage the enemy, flags strapped to their back and shouting 'manse' pledges and cheers all the way.

In the homefront, organized riots would be staged by the PGA in an attempt to lure the rear guards of Woleve Atraland into genocidal slaughters of moderate southern citizens who were simply anti-war. At this point, even despite two consecutive retreats, public support was still solidly in the North's hands. Southern factory workers organized a different kind of labor strike, in which resources would be smuggled to the North through neutral territory a la Ho Chi Minh trail.

To meet the horrid armies of General Hill, Kang Hyeong-Suk would arrange her most elite units to form a million-strong defensive line stretching from the Southern Capital to the DMZ, all supported by tens of thousands of well-armed PGA supporters. While the Blayredeshians initially gained air superiority, the unusual presence of modern anti-air guns and the releasure of modern jets that were obviously not of North Hyechonese manufacturing in the midst of swarms of more obsolete SAM sites and MiG's would attempt to overwhelm the air force right back- if not, then to inflict as many casualties as possible to stave off the economic consequences of bombing.

Meanwhile, civilian militias in the North would form an army of their own, the People's Home Preservation Army (PHPA), which would be better-armed than the PGA but still not as skilled as the regular HPA which would serve as the last line of defense should the mighty "Reunification Line" break.

As for the Werewolf Islands and their Blayredeshian counterparts, their fleet would face turgid resistance in the form of dense mines, coastal and island artillery battering them, the fleets of reserve planes dropping anti-ship missiles, land-based anti-ship systems, and the actual proper Hyechonan People's Navy, which while consisting mostly of coastal defense craft and small escorts/frigates, would be armed to the teeth to repel the larger ships with support from both land and sea. Assets of the HPA and PHPA would be made to form proper coastal defenses even despite the bombing, working to the bone to properly entrench themselves.

As for the offer from Icewindia, the North would firmly deny. This was a war of attrition that the North appeared to be winning. It had sustained gruesome losses itself, but those losses were less expensive and easier to replace then the modern might of the allies. They had reduced the Republic of Hyechon Army (South hyechon) to a glorified police force, and they had popular support. Kang was banking on a PR nightmare for the nation.

To take advantage of the sinking morale, a sly campaign of radio propaganda would be introduced in an attempt to guarantee defectors to the North, assuring them of the surviving and thriving Icewindian Soviet, the self-reliant and happy nature of the country, and a nation which truly considered the soldiers family- if only they would just leave their posts. Other broadcasts would subtly attempt to incentivize fragging.

As for the naval front, the Icewindians saw the People's Navy pull back for the first time in a while, going northward to support the third of the country still under Northern occupation as part of the Reunification Line, hoping the naval presence was dense enough to thwart any relief of the southern capital. The islanders, having been resupplied, would fight to the death. While the southernmost islands were guaranteed to the south, it would be a bloody endeavour to liberate them once more.

PHPA: 659,360

Incheon city wrote:RP: Pressure mounts for Artaecus to broker a deal between the Kowenian States and Incheon City for an open border
The Artaecusian government has received a formal request in writing by President P'il Nam-Seon for Artaeccus to be an active participant in opening the border between Incheon City and the Kowenian States, which has divided the region for nearly three decades now. While, some would say "Draconian", the strict border measures have been effective in counter-terrorism policy and reducing terrorist attacks in Incheon the cost of the border security both in money and lives has started to stack up.

While deaths of military personnel are extremely rare on the border, many civilians both Kowenian and Incheonian have died attempting to cross the border either by border personnel, security measures on the border, or the elements. This has led to an outcry towards both states to make the first moves to opening up the border. Both the North Kowenian government and Incheonian government initially resisted, but both governments soon are open to having some restrictions in place in order to open the border.

All eyes are on the Artaecusian government in what their response is to the Kowenian states and Incheon City wanting Artaecus to broker a deal between the both of them.

RP || Incheon city: Border Concerns

The Artaecusian Government reminds President P'il Nam-Seon that the strict border control was one of the only working methods of reducing the amount of terrorist attacks that the regular Incheonian citizen was forced to endure. Aside from the concern of terrorist attacks, the concern of increased crime rates and more specifically hate crimes against the Incheonian citizens have to be taken into account when opening up the border between Incheon City and the other parts of the Kowenian States. It has been stated by Kaathe himself that while the opening of the border would eventually happen, that the opening itself should not cause further bloodshed and suffering on both sides. This however has not rejected President P'il Nam-Seon's request.

Allocating more resources towards Incheon and the local administration, the Artaecusian Government has urged both President P'il Nam-Seon and those under him to come up with a solution to the problem of terrorism and reducing the side-effects of having an open border around nations that would like nothing but to see the collapse of the micronation. Should a solution, or multiple, be raised in order to control the future issues, the Artaecusian Government will actively partake in opening up the border.

Although slightly damaged, the ships in the harbor don't sink, but do need some minor repairs, they don't return fire directly, but a couple warning shots back. The ships signal to the fort. "We are friendly, we're here to restore stability." Troops close in on around Wolfengrad to not only capture it, but to remove Earl Hall and begin the original mission, bring a democratic style of government within the Rhine and Icewindia Proper. Outskirts cities like Hampshire, once captured, are to be left alone in their state to avoid any cities being purposely hit. In Centertown, fighting has gotten a bit more excessive with Guerilla Warfare in the area, the Army though tries their best to move forward, when attacks do happen, they get into a circular formation and do try to repel the attackers. Centertown is asked to stand down, for the greater good for everyone to come.

Wolfy has been on televised broadcasts to Icewindia from Wolfinite Channels issuing what the purpose of this "invasion" is. She states "that to keep the peace and stability in Icewindia, and avoid power gaps, the Republic will move in to help keep the status quo. Any who fire upon military personnel will be returned fire as shown in Centertown. We are here to help, not conquer." A message from Wolfy is sent directly to Catherine not long after concerning the treaty signed by the Royal Family saying "An attack on one, is an attack on all. We are not letting Wallace's death go quiet, treason you are. Punishment, you will face."

With the dormant super volcano now reduced to a mere fraction of its former size, Arcadia's surface level construction has been declared as complete. Gone were its steep slopes stretching high into the atmosphere, instead towering walls and a myriad of static defenses dominate the horizon with only the tallest of towers peeking out above the parapets.

In the coming few years the central government will manage the massive influx of new settlers from the surrounding islands into the unpopulated capital, however, it will be some time before Arcadia reaches its peak function as its people still need to get used to their "new normal."

The navy is also almost completely dry docked as well, with most of the naval facilities effectively neutralized in the past any ships damaged during the battle and afterwards during reconstruction efforts would have to remain that way until today. In addition, numerous Lightning Victory-class battleships would be mothballed as their main guns, secondary armaments, and aerobattery emplacements would all be removed and reinstalled on Wall Viviane and Serena.

Wolfy seeing Blayredeshia getting involved and Catherine trying to reach out to them, is seen as a threat as a possible way to gain a navy to disrupt the Royal Navy in the area. Recent rulings from the highest Courts in Concordaia have caused massive uproar in the population. The first of the two rulings concerned a series of anti-trust cases against the monolithic TiCom Industries, accusing it of monopolistic practices and impeding economic activity by stifling competition. While the corporation was found guilty, the punishment it received was minor in regard to the practices it employed. A few minor subsidies and components of TiCom were ordered to be broken up, but overall the entity was still whole. The second ruling was a guilty verdict on a group of Dracon teenagers accused of murdering a teenage human boy. Many called out the verdict as unjust, citing inflammatory lines from witnesses, alleged police misconduct, and a plethora of other allegations. These two cases have been on the public eye due to large media coverage and general social ramification involved, leading to a massive reaction at the controversial verdicts.

As nothing is heard back from the Lirana of Dwarf land4 the rest of the ships (3 heavy battleships, 8 cruisers and 10 destroyers) are decided to be produced domestically. This would mean that alongside the engines and armaments which are to be installed to the ship hulls ordered from the Basars the naval engineering team would also have to come up with three brand new ship designs which have been estimated to take 2-4 years to perfect before starting production. As the Basar hulls are assumed to be designed around the conditions of the seas of pontricare and trendaline, the domestic designs are to take into account the conditions on the sea of helandriel and eventually be built on the shores of the said sea.

RP: Question of the Rekkenian Legacy

With the Demiran Federation growing it's roots the question of the Rekkenian legacy in things such as media and history education has been taken into talks. Many of the more radical parties like Greater Demira and Union of Courts have been mostly for removing the positive connotations regarding the old Imperiumi in order to solidify the current rule and to stamp out any separatists who may still linger in the Demiran areas. Due to UC insisting the matter must be sought after the DP and MeGDA have agreed to their demands, although this has caused the SDP and the rest of the non-agreeing opposition to stir up sentiment against this with a petition gaining signatures at a staggering rate. President Stormberg has stated she will keep the same stance as her party, ignoring the ridiculous cries of the opposition and supporting the GreDe and UC on their effort.

Unrelated to the matter as the parliament is fighting over their issues and gathering media attention within the nation, the popular Ömegän nightclub and mechanical workshop called "Pahan Katse" has expanded the meet the nation's ever growing needs to party, opening new nightclubs in the cities of Sektora, Demonnia, Kamila and Destro. New mechanical workshops are also scheduled to be opened in Kumamitsu and Lead Bay. In addition the company has sent out a request for firearms rights which along with some other rumors spread by the builders responsible for building the new workshops has caused some of the regulars to speculate the company could be opening firing ranges and/or selling weapon mods for automails however only time will tell what they will actually do.

Schwypia and Blayredeshia

RP: Abyss
The elections to the Rada and Senate have finished. The results have satisfied noone. While ZiS had achieved much when it pandered to the poor and downtrodden, they were only able to achieve a slight majority in the Rada. But the Federaly had an ace up their sleeves.
After a long, gruelling, and simply painful negotiation progress, The Federaly and the three largest leftist parties announced a coalition, therefore allowing them to form majority government under the Conglagateian Iron Front. ZiS officials were not happy, claiming that the Federaly and their "communist lackeys" were turning Conglagateia into a one party state. I mean sure, they also wanted to make Conglagateia a one party state, but not this kind!
While ZiS nearly took the dispute to the courts, they had to back down. It was now obvious they stood no chance, even when burning down their own headquarters for sympathy. They had to move to a bolder plan.

After some discussion between the internationalist parts of the party, they have decided the only real way to gain power is to take it, forcefully. For that, they needed bribe money, mostly to get the military on their side. To achieve this, they have requested a large sum of money from their Blayredeshian allies.
Meanwhile, demagogues have continued firing up the angry urban poor in cities like Ulvangatar, using their poor political awareness to essentially dupe them into supporting a party that will only disenfranchise them further. The plan is to quickly behead the government in Ulvangatar before enveloping any loyalist forces across the country and forcing a surrender. If they were to wait too long, Conglagateian intelligence or their allies would quickly realize something is amiss.
