Do you model your NS nation after what you'd have your SR one like?

It had been a hot minute since NSL last heard from Aningem atron, the last interaction between the two nations being NSL evacuating their soldiers from their military base. For all intents and purposes, it had seemed that AA was just another causality of societal collapse, as is all too common these days in StrangeReal. But, recently there had been some...odd messages coming out of the region. Granted, no one but Lizard Squad! could make any sense of them, and they weren’t telling anyone what those messages meant. But this one...well, let’s see it was a little more explicit in its meaning. Mobilization was increased to a breakneck speed after hearing it, soldiers and sailors moving on the double!

The S.S (Supple Ship) Ur mum, along with a complement of 2 cruisers, 3 destroyers and 5 frigates were all being assembled to head over to AA to see what was going on. Along with them came the city-ship S.S Big Chungus and the “Flip Ship” S.S Unshinkable II, for hopefully peaceful contact. They all set out from Quacksburg at dawn, and began to head for AA at full speed, hopefully arriving in under 3 days...

Around The World

by East supple lund

East supple lundians know how to get around! These are the most important locations outside of ESL proper:

Located in the frigid land of Glacea, this research station is top of the line, housing all the necessary equipment for its staff of 50 scientists to live there year round, protected from the intense cold and other dangerous elements.

Located on the island of Havergonia, this launching pad has seen dozens of successful launches over the course of its existence.

Inspired by the city ships of The angle of chairty, the S.S. (Supple Ship) Big Chungus is the largest ship ever constructed in Supple history, able to carry 80,000 citizens with ease, acting as a mobile floating city of sorts.

Neo-Supple Lund maintains a number of overseas military bases.
Havergonia: Fort McMann, 10,000 Personnel
The Isle of St. Bob Ross: Fort Narwhal, 5,000 Personnel
Fnurgle Rock: Fort Buster, 5,000 Personnel

Uh, does this thing count?

The blinds in the room were down, and the air quite stale. A faint smell of cigars permeated it. The lighting was dim, and the only source of light besides the bleak rays of sunshine making their way through odd gaps in the blinds was the screen of a modern business laptop.
The sound of a notification of the royal intelligence app for high ranking officials broke the monotony of hands typing on a keyboard.
"The Big Chungus is on the move, course could be towards Aningem Atron. Military escort possible. Require confirmation. - Agent QT314"
He breathed in and folded his hands in his lap. Breathing out, he pushed a button, leaned towards a microphone and spoke, in a deep, throaty voice: "Beth, my dear, please call General Kur'armon and Admiral Müller. Make sure they are aware of the latest intel."
He resumed typing on his laptop, with renewed vigor. Maybe now they'd be able to fix their little... problem.

In a reclaimed military base in the jungles of Aningem Atron, a loud, obnoxious notification emanated from the slightly outdated computer of General Kur'Armon, followed by a scream and swearing. After uttering a string of expletives, the good General managed to form coherent sentences again, which he spent muttering to himself: "Stupid urgent business, just when I was clipping my nails, what is not now?! Can't be any good... oh." He brought up the message on his computer and laughed heartily. "Finally, some good news!"
He jumped out of his chair, almost knocking it down and tripping himself, and lurched towards the telephone in the room, grabbing the earphone, dialing a number and nearly shouting: "Miron'qip, get off your arse, we need you and your men to do a recon flight! Watch out for the Lundian Big Chungus ship, it's massive, can't miss it, and tell me what else you can see around it and which course it is on. Hurry, those coordinates, now fly, you fools!" He chuckled before hanging up, muttering "Fly... fools... hehe."

"Ok guys, this is it. Months of training and here we are; the moment has finally come. Just remember everything we've done and you'll be fine."

Alas, the time had come. Soon they would enter the field and begin 90 minutes of full on tension. It could all be worth it though, for the title of FIDAC champion was waiting on the other side. Only one will come out on top though, so who knows...

I've heard somewhere that slavery can actually harm your economy, but I'll have a look.

After several days at sea, the Ur Mum, Big Chungus, and Unsinkable II, along with the rest of the escort fleet, had finally reached the coastal waters of Aningem atron, ready to deploy their expedition. The escort ships moved in first, with the Big Chungus and theUr Mum staying farther back, to prevent being easily targeted by the enemy. The Unsinkable II had already been deployed to its upright position, and had started taking scientific measurements of the surrounding waters. It too was deployed farther back, as like the Big Chungus,it was not a military vessel.

Standing on the deck of the Ur Mum, Petty Officer Franklin Freezing watched as DDS-Bassmouth drones streaked off the deck of the carrier, heading into the unknown. Frankie had been one of the last of the soldiers to evacuate the base, after it had been made clear by the AA government that they were no longer welcome there. Their ship had lingered around for a couple days afterwords, until, one by one all outgoing communications ceased. All the drones they had sent in had mysteriously disappeared as well. But now, they had returned, and this time they wouldn't be going anywhere until they had gotten some answers.

Hence all the scientific s**t. The Unsinkable II, of course, was a purely scientific vessel, while the Big Chungus, a civilian one with extensive scientific assets on board. These vessels would hopefully prove instrumental in determining what had actually taken place since the Supple forces had actually left.

Frankie had mixed feelings about returning to AA. Sure, he had a burning curiosity to find out what had transpired since his absence, but he also remembered the terrible heat and burning sun! Hopefully they would be able to figure it out soon.
As he gazed across the water, he couldn't help but notice some faint shapes far across the horizon, but he couldn’t tell what they were.

Time to find out!

The soldiers began to make headway and land on the AA shores...
