Of course the republican party is mostly a cult of personality without actual real beliefs at all so... yeah.

And if you don't want to see people die from drone bombings, naval blockades, famines don't vote no Republican or Democrat.

I lived in Libya during the Obama years, we had our entire posessions bombed into the stone age along with my whole country.

That's america for you

"This is America."
- Childish Gambino.

Well, 11 years later I live in Spain, nothing left standing back home, all of it levelled. All the farms, home, pets, everything was bombed. More than 3/4ths of my family died during the Coalition's attack on Libya from malnutrition and denial of humanitarian aid.

What's worse is that it's happened multiple times over, in tens more countries than is *acceptable.

I haven't been able to live anywhere but the US. I've never experienced carpet bombings, artillery strikes, military shootouts, intense disease, or starvation.
But I do know that those are experiences no one deserves.

*And that's zero.

I did live in Lebanon briefly in the war with Israel (that's not the US, but lets be honest, it pretty much is) before I got out, and I had to experience the sound of many sonic booms, air strikes, spy drones, etc...
Trust me, it's not fun. No one deserves to feel unsafe in their own home.

"What I've Done" played when i was walking home

Michael Bay has chosen me...

During the first wave of the naval blockade and No Fly Zone over my city (Benghazi) we had used morse code for food and aid because a lot of our farm hands were sick and needed medicine, what we got was nothing as we lost basically everything from our home, jobs to over 158 hectares of fertile, used farm land for all of our necessities was bombed, when Benghazi was levelled we had no hospital to rescue as many people as we can from the rubble, the ones left of us in the bombings had to use a fishing boat to escape to Spain, Greece, Türkiye, Albania.

I still vividly remember that night, the first bombing on Benghazi. It still plays in my head countless times.

The US is an enigma to me.

There's all this talk about "liberty and justice for all", and yet the US has some of the largest externally-operating occupation forces, and still has territories/colonies around the world.

Under the leadership of corrupt Congress members and the agendas of rather xenophoic Executive officers, the US has helped multiple warmongering ethnocentric states to suppress freedoms of others and life in general.

What happened to liberty?

What happened to justice?

And what happened to the rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that were supposed to be unalienable and available to all humans?

Yes, the US has many good things going for it, and is filled with unique and diverse cultures, religions, and people, but when power-hungry people are nigh-upon the only ones who take to the political stage, this system that is supposed to support flow of ideas and freedom of people becomes a stifling shield.

I for one can't say too much because much of the romanian economy (and a lot of european economies in general) are bankrolled by the U.S.A.

Well, it's all going to got downhill when Trump's elected and takes office (Project 2025)

No matter how much I dislike Harris, it's about an 80-20 chance she wins. Trump's popularity has taken massive hits with a lot of people (namely his numerous criminal convictions). The fact that two people who were likely right-wing attempted to assassinate him is pretty telling, in my opinion.

Well, it's kinda hard to not get hated on by MAGA Supporters when you support the Democrats. If you don't make it visible, then you're good.
