This surge also somehow increases our military thinking abilities, and makes us quite dangerous due to our advanced strategies.
The reason for this surge is unknown, and a cure has not yet been discovered. Even if one does come eventually, it will probably be impossible to stop this epidemic, since if just one person demonstrates this contagious feeling, all other people around that person will feel it, so it spreads insanely quickly. (By demonstrate, I mean catch it, so even if the person doesn't look or interact at you, you can still catch it.) This only works irl however, so you do not catch anything through screens. It is a separate feeling from extreme nationalism, since that isn't contagious with us. This disease is contagious, however, and the reason why is not known.

how do you put a picture on a factbook?
Step 1-Finding your picture
This is the easiest part. Before you put that wonderful picture in your Factbook, you have to find your picture. Lets say for instance, that the picture you want is a Christmas Tree.
First, go on your search engine and type in Christmas Tree.
Find the picture you like.
Put the mouse over it, right click, and select Save Image As.
Then save it on your computer. MAKE SURE YOU GIVE IT A NAME SO YOU CAN FIND IT.
Step 2-Finding a place to upload your picture
This can be a challenge. I typically use Tinypic, with this link:

Step 3-Uploading your picture
Now that you are on Tinypic, open up your Nationstates account and open up the factbook you want to place your photo in.
Click back on to Tinypic and click browse.
Select your photo.
Then click on upload now.
This next part is a little tricky, which is why it needs its own step.
Step 4-Putting your Picture into a Factbook
At this point, you have 2 options. The first is IMG, and the second is URL.
IMG is the one you may generally want, but depending on the size of your picture, you may have to select the URL. IMG usually works in Factbooks, while URL is recommended for RP's. Simply take the link you want and copy and paste it.

Like I said, IMG works for Factbooks. If you want them for RP's, use URL's. It is the same process for RP's.

Step 3-Uploading Your Picture
Once you are on IMGUR, look for a green rectangle on the upper left, titled "New Post". Once that opens, open up your Nationstates account and open up the factbook you want to place your photo in.
Click back on to IMGUR and click "Choose Photo Or Video".
Select your photo. Once it uploads, mouse over to it and you will see a link on the upper right of the picture box which says "Copy Link". The link will copy into your dashboard.
From there, we get to Step 4.
Step 4-Placing Into the Factbook
You can either use [IMG], which is good for Factbooks, while [url] is good for RPs.

In imgur, before you post the picture, you can copy the BBC link of that image. The BBC link should look like [IMG][/IMG]

History of Yagasthellen
First Yagasthellian colony appears in southern Liang (Modern-day Hainan Island and coasts up to Hong Kong) and it was called the Southland Dynasty. Their flag consists of a red top half, dark blue bottom half with a white circle and sun in the middle.

621 CE:
After making an alliance with Tang (Now China), Southland gains new unclaimed land west (Now Laos) and north Nhá Tiėn Lÿ (Now Vietnam) This also helps them get a boost in their military.
1146:
Southland conquers Began and Khmer Empire. (Burma, middle Vietnam, and Thailand) This is also the point where the Southlanders make the first step towards a modern Yagasthellen. They’re renamed to The Yagasthellian Empire and their flag changes to red, blue, and black horizontal lines with a white Nordic cross and the Coat of Arms eagle.

1258:
The Yagasthellian Empire loses a war to the Mongol Empire and lost access to Hainan Island. This upsets many Yagasthellians.
1279:
The Yagasthellian Empire gains the Hainan Corridor back after the Mongol Empire is weakened. The victory gives Yagasthellians a strong feeling of imperialism.
1874:
Yagasthellians celebrate the rise of the German empire and establish close ties with them.
1915:
The Yagasthellian Empire joins the Central Powers in WW1. It was a surprise on the French Indochina colony and they were quickly taken over. The same goes for British Malaya but the invasion of British Raj was a bit slower.
1919:
The Yagasthellian Empire loses WW1 after more supplies were given to British Raj and a blockade was set up by Australia. French Indochina was returned and half of Laos and Vietnam were added to it. British Malaya was returned and the Hainan Corridor was also given to the British. The Yagasthellian Empire was renamed to Yagasthellen. The Yagasthellian flag was also changed to a red triangle half on top and a dark blue triangle half on the bottom with a thin white line separating them with a white star in the middle.
1933:
Cautious of losing another war but still angry about their loses from WW1, Yagasthellen signs a pact with Japan that says Japan will give French Indochina, British Malaya, and coastal Chinese territories up to Tainjin to Yagasthellen as long as they supply them with weapons and other needs throughout the war. The territories are given to Yagasthellen before the end of WW2. Since Yagasthellen technically didn’t fight in the war, the territories stay with Yagasthellen.

During the Cold War, the Soviet Union and Communist China create heavy communist influence in northern Yagasthellen. This creates tension between the southern Democrats and northern Communists that leads to the Yagasthellian Civil War. The Communist Party of North Yagasthellian (North Yagasthellen) was aided by China and North Korea while Yagasthellen was aided by The US, Japan, and Indonesia.
