So...yeah...I was thinking of writing a dispatch...but I lost track of how many outer hangates were/are there. Would you mind raising your hand if your nation had a hangate in the past or still does now?

Or maybe...to make it easier...raise your hand if you did not have a hangate.

We ended up with the remnants of Tiwe Hangate after they were driven out of Domanania. You and I had a short conversation about it some time ago here in the RMB.

Founder Reigns!!

The most important incident that took place in India on June 2020 is the crowning of the new founder for the region. The founder account Nirupama which was used by former WAD Tripunithura for 9 long years was handed over to former WAD and current Prime minister Indusse. The crowning was done between the WAD elections and Thripunithura retired from the founder's office. He had served India from its re-establishment and before. The Former founder had contributed numerous good remarks to India. Wishing all the best in his future, The Indian Administration ends the article.

NK the new WAD!!!

Neo Kerala was elected the new WAD of India the June elections. He won the Elections easily due to his reputation, activeness and his position in the region. He faced tough competition from the former WAD Indusse. The other rival was Indus Valley Civilization who quit the elections half way. Indus valley civilization who stood as pragjyotishpura couldn't get even 7 votes in the Elections. The founder Nirupama sworned in Neo kerala and his proposed cabinet on 14th June 2020. The region found a great rise in its population after the election reaching the biggest in its history.

Coup De Etat!

The region witnessed a rare incident on 29th June. The regional delegate Neo Kerala was overthrown in a accidental Coup by the prime minister and former WAD Indusse. The coup gained Foreign attention and discussions started in the discord. Later, The administration set up a reverse coup which made Neo Kerala the WAD again. Due to the Coup, the region imposed a temporary Endorsement cap. The admin nations can have upto 20 endorsements whereas others 15. The coup resulted in sudden confusion and debates.

I don't keep a list like this and just go with the flow, but since you are doing it, Aprosia should be able to export meat, dairy, agricultural goods, beverages, alcohol, construction materials, coal from fossile fuels, automotive parts and heavier vehicules, such as trucks, tractors et cetera.

Ioudaia can provide pretty much everything on your list except energy and some kinds of meat. Ioudaian companies can't hit every niche in every market, but the country does have a diversified economy.

And for what it's worth, I have convenient dispatches on Ioudaia's economy and natural products:

Ioudaia's natural resources listed in order relative to domestic needs for them. Bold print indicates large deposits or large agricultural capacity.

Agricultural Products

Significant Exports
Barley
Stone fruit (cherries, plums, almonds, peaches)
Apples
Fish
Grapes
Wine

Slight Exports
Goat meat (kid; as a side product, kidskin leather)
Pulses/beans
Small grains and buckwheat
Goat/cow dairy products (milk, cheese, ice cream)
Eggs

Slight Imports
Wood products
Pork
Temperate veggies
Rice
Tropical fruits

Significant Imports
Poultry meat
Mutton
Natural fibers (cotton, wool, and silk)
Wheat
Beef
Chocolate
Coffee

Ioudaia can, in a physical sense, feed itself, However, as
the country has grown richer, consumption of wheat and
most kinds of meat has outstripped our domestic
production (except in Jolgeh Asvat and Sahel Tufani,
where barley is prefered over wheat).

Metal Ores

Significant Exports
Mercury, lanthanum, cerium (few domestic uses)
Aluminum
Tantalum
Niobium
Lead
Zinc
Copper

Slight Exports
Colbalt
Chromium
Silver
Tellerium

Slight Imports
Nickel
Titanium
Neodymium

Significant Imports
Gold
Iron
Manganese

All other minerals < 20% domestic needs. Ioudaia lacks
domestic ores for tin, tungsten, lithium, berylium, boron,
and platinum-group elements, among others.

Other Resources

Fossil Fuels

Coal: significant reserves, but coal is rarely used domestically as fuel any longer. Coal is mostly used by the Ioudaian steel industry, so export quantities are available.

Natural gas: minor reserves mostly due to our coal fields, but we have a small amount of shale gas. Ioudaia is a major importer.

Oil: significant reserves of heavy, sour crude offshore in Kolpos Aremikos. Domestic production and refining capability are maintained by the Ioudaian Navy as a strategic asset at some expense. However, because of the cost of refining and
desulfurizing our crude oil, Ioudaia is a major importer, except when oil is expensive on regional markets.

Uranium/Thorium: minor reserves as a side effect of rare earth element production. Ioudaia makes only modest use of nuclear power.

Precious Stones

The main gem-producing area in Ioudaia is the foothills of Sarhat Tukidas near Nilakabat.

Ruby has been mined, polished, and cut since antiquity, however, the veins are nearly exhausted. Gem-quality rubies found now are on 1 carat or less, though industrial ruby is still plentiful.

Sapphire is still abundant, but blue sapphire is relatively rare, and fancy sapphire is relatively common. Large gem-quality stones occasionally still turn up.

Moonstone, peridot, and garnet are also found near Nilakabat.

Jaspers of all kinds and sizes are commonly found around Shariyath, giving the city its name (literally, "city of jasper"). In addition, picture jasper/landscape jasper is found in a layer up to several meters thick west of the city, and is cut into large blocks for building facades and table- and counter-tops. X-ray tomography is used to select directions for cutting to maximize value, based on the patterns that will result.

Dimensional Stone

Marble is found in both of our major mountain ranges. Three types are available:

  • Fine-grained white and blue marble is the most common. It's sometimes used for building facades, and due to its abundance, even used for monumental buildings and sculpture.

  • Coarse-grained cream-colored marble is also abundant. While it's translucent, and thus sometimes used for facades and roofs of monumental buildings, it's too coarse-grained for sculpture.

  • Fine-grained snow white marble is available only from a few small quarries any more, and so is expensive. It's mostly used for sculpture, but still is sometimes used for building facades.

We have extensive deposits of sandstone in and around Sahel Tufani. It's available in several colors and textures.

Nearly all of our domestic granite is grey speckled with black. It is at best plain and at worst ugly, but it's found in many places. A very small amount of pink granite is quarried, but as with our white marble, is expensive.

Building Materials

The raw materials for concrete and brick are common, and both are made locally. Cinder blocks are manufactured as well.

Overview

Ioudaia's industrial sector is very well developed, producing a wide range of goods, and it overshadows the values of our primary materials and services sectors. Ioudaian companies manufacture a mix of high-, medium-, and low-value goods, both low- and high-technology products, including industries from clothing to electronics. The range of products an industry produces varies greatly, with some industries producing everything in their category (vehicles), and others specializing in single kinds of products (shirts and blouses with buttons).

Two large clusters of industries make up the bulk of our manufactured goods. The optics-optoelectronics-electronics cluster produces mostly high-tech, high-value fine goods, but also includes some lower-value products, such as disposable contact lenses. The cluster overlaps our small medical products sector, so it's included with the cluster. This is Ioudaia's strongest export sector.

The vehicles-vehicle components-heavy engineering cluster also makes a range of goods with different values, but it is dominated by relatively low value goods, such as mass-market automobiles, however, it does produce some high-value products, such as aircraft.

For all our goods, bold indicates goods that are competitive on international markets, italics indicates that only a single company produces a specific kind of goods, and regular type indicates neither: goods only locally competitive and/or multiple companies in the market.

The History of Ioudaian Industry

From the arrival of the Kabiruz in Ioudaia's northwest until the 15th century, iron and steel working was concentrated in Jolgeh Asvat. Since gem cutting and polishing was entirely there as well, along with the production of marble and other building stone, Jolgeh Asvat was Ioudaia's main industrial area. However, as the Aelo Rud-Aigasos-Erphia canals expanded, so did the production of goods, leading to the rapid growth of Chyrtiros, which was previously only the center of copper, bronze, and brass industry.

The development of water-powered industry during the early Industrial Revolution shifted goods production further, with Chyrtiros dominating the metal goods industry, and Palmassia and the south emerging as Ioudaia's main producers of wood and textile goods. The demise of Jolgeh Asvat's metal-working industry was partially offset by Nilakabat's gem cutters branching out into lens and mirror making, increasing the region's glass production, and leading to it becoming a major center of early scientific instrument making, as well as the development of the fine and art glass industries in Ioudaia.

Ioudaia as a whole become much wealthier during the Early and Middle Industrial Revolution. However, the production of mass-market goods, especially those with interchangeable parts, never really caught on, as water and steam power were used to increase the efficiency and output of artisanal goods.

As a result, by the early 20th century, Ioudaia was known as an excellent producer of fine and luxury goods, but the country was otherwise a net importer of manufactured goods. Some goods production was made up by industrialization shifting back to its original area in Jolgeh Asvat, as Shariyath University's Electromagnetism Laboratory spun off a number of companies making high-quality electric goods, including Ioudaia's first motors and generators. While the economy suffered as jobs were lost to overseas competitors, the full effect of Ioudaia's failure to modernize its industry wasn't borne until the 1922 Eastern Seaboard War.

The military consequence of industrialized artisanal production was that while Ioudaia had excellent weapons, they were often in short supply or were difficult to repair in the field. And for large or complex weapons, like aircraft or ships, it increasingly meant they were obsolete as soon as they reached the military.

The early stages of the Easter Seaboard War were thus a disaster for Ioudaia. On land, best the army could do was give ground grudgingly, and it was occasionally routed due to shortages of weapons or their inadequacy to reply effectively to the enemy. At sea, the Ioudaian Navy was shattered twice, and the remnants ended up trapped in port. The country was saved by the people's desperation to prevent reconquest, a single intelligence coup, and the good fortune that the Electromagnetism Laboratory had caught up to the state of the art and then inched ahead of it, giving Ioudaia an edge in battlefield communications. But the cost of victory was horrific battlefield losses, taking the lives of a third of Ioudaia's young men.

An industrial reckoning followed the war. A combination of public pressure, factory owners' and workers' realization that change was not only good business but necessary for their survival, and a little money from the Six Kings led to rapid modernization and rationalization of Ioudaia's manufacturing. High-quality goods remained a source of national pride, but the the country made strides in catching up with foreign competitors. By the 1940's, Ioudaia was once again recognized as an international competitor.

However, by the late 1970s, the Six Kings, many businessmen, and substantial fractions of the citizenry became concerned that Ioudaia was starting to slip behind other countries in key technological sectors, including electronics and aviation. Since those were rightly recognized as keys to modern military victory, the Assembly and the Six Kings created the Ministry of Science and Technology in 1979 to develop and lead further modernization of Ioudaia's high-tech industries. To further the effort, the Ministry founded the Space Exploration Agency, as it provided out only an outlet for high-tech industries, but the problems of spaceflight challenged Ioudaia's engineers and scientists to develop new tools and technologies to solve them.

The effort has paid off handsomely, first by revitalizing Ioudaia's aviation industry, expanding it to include not only its previous successes in light airplanes and helicopters, but also to aerospace goods and larger, more capable aircraft. Electronics followed, first in the north, as the Electromagnetism Laboratory expanded its areas of expertise, and then in the south, with the creation and explosive growth of Neonotia's electronics industry. Indeed, the region owes its name, the New South, to the rise of the electronics industry. The combination has given Ioudaia's generals and admirals confidence that their weapons are equal to those of other nations.

The high-tech push also led to a number of unexpected developments in other areas. Ioudaia's shipyards, long regarded as second rate or adequate but expensive, were spurred to specialize and modernize during the 1990s and 2000s, and now produce several kinds of state-of-the-art specialty freighters. (Ioudaia's smaller ship-builders have been laying down competitive tugboats since the rebuilding of the Ioudaian Navy during the Eastern Seaboard War.)

Intensive automation helped save Ioudaia's clothing industry as well. Now, tailors, seamstresses, and others in the industry routinely use custom-made computerized sewing machines and robot fabric cutters to be dramatically more efficient, allowing our last off-the-rack clothing maker to remain competitive with lower-cost producers. Acute fashion sense, and recipe for producing shrewd, frugal managers have done most of the work, but nimble clothing production requires automation as well.

Now, however, the Ministry of Science and Technology has recognized that Ioudaia's biomedical industry is not keeping up with other nations. As it is apparent the Ioudaia's existing high-tech industries can now stand on their own, the Ministry is turning its attention and funding to medicine and biotechnology.

Electronics

STKL Neosemi is one of the the government's great success stories that emerged from the 1979 industrial policy. Omid Sanehtajni, Tamir Dardanus, Koroush Noam, and Leodes ben Galal founded their company explicitly to become a leader in programmable electronics.

Their original goal was the develop a new microprocessor architecture to compete with those available on the international market. This proved to be much harder than expected, as Ioudaia's electronics manufacturing industry was not up to producing suitable photolithography equipment, and in any event, many potential customer companies were locked into existing architectures. But along the way, Koroush began to work on configurable hardware to make the company's proposed microprocessors more flexible than foreign designs. Once the company abandoned their original microprocessor goal, FPGAs became their focus.

STKL quickly found customers for their FPGAs in Ioudaia, ranging from consumer electronics makers, through industrial and scientific equipment manufacturers, to military suppliers. The Ioudaian Air Armada and Navy were both very happy with a domestic supplier for their unusual needs, even if they sometimes preferred microprocessors for some military applications.

Today, STKL makes some of the region's most sophisticated programmable devices, including extremely high density FPGAs, mixed-signal FPGAs, and PSoCs, which ironically use the standard ARM Cortex M0, M1, and M2 architectures under license, ARM being one of the foreign microprocessors STKL hoped to replace.

STKL's corporate offices and fabs are located in Eireson.

Zephyr: Ioudaia's largest electronics company. Zephyr Lamp Company started in 1921 as a light bulb manufacturer before branching out to vacuum tubes and then entire radios. They adopted new technologies as they were developed, making some of Ioudaia's first transistor radios, and making early use of integrated circuits in consumer electronics.

As Zephyr made heavier and heavier use of integrated circuits, they began to make their own. By 1982, they were one of Ioudaia's largest IC manufacturers, producing chips for themselves and other companies. And as electronics became more capable, they entered new product areas to make use of the components they could make.

Zephyr has remained true to their roots, and continues to make lighting products. LEDs can be used in more places and in more ways that traditional incandescent and fluorescent lamps: Zephyr makes not only LED light bulbs, but also LED signs ranging from small retail signs to immense LED screens for stadium use, LED displays (and some LCD ones as well), and now sophisticated LED walls, which are beginning to replace green screens for movie and TV backgrounds.

They also have an active consumer electronics division, specializing in appliances: microwave ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers, and other "white goods". They have a reputation for reliability, and at the high end of their product line, they are known for sophisticated, elegant, and easy-to-use products. Zephyr is also Ioudaia's only maker of smartphones, though they don't compete at the high end of the market, preferring to use economies of scale and internal parts production to serve value-conscious customers.

The company also makes a wide variety of integrated circuits, including ASICs, 8- and 16-bit microcontrollers, and low-end FPGAs, for their own use and to sell to other OEMs.

Zephyr's administrative and research campus is located in Ornemion, adjacent to a subway station. The company has factories in Ornemion, Eireson, Chyrtiros, and Shariyath.

Chemicals

Zeteomos Dye Works (ZDW) is Ioudaia's only chemical company. ZDW got its start as a coal-tar dye maker in 1887, and steadily expanded into other areas of fine chemistry. They entered the pharmaceutical market in 1919, making sulfa drugs, aspirin, and morphine and its derivatives, all of which saw heavy use in the Eastern Seaboard War. By 1937, they made all of the generic drugs available at the time, and they've continued to expand their range of medicines as patents expire.

ZDW now has an expansive range of products, including fabric dyes, paints and pigments for everything from cars and trucks to houses and artists' oil paints, generic drugs, natural and artificial flavors, and even photographic film, where they specialize in high-quality films for artists.

Vehicles and Vehicle Components

Gatpatugozhad-Thaunakie Motors (G-Θ) was formed by the merger of two of Ioudaia's oldest motorcycle companies in 1952. G-Θ manufactures a full line of motorcycles, ranging from motor-scooters and dirt bikes to luxury cruising bikes and bleeding-edge racing motorcycles. They also make some of their own engines and power trains, giving them complete control over all aspects of motorcycle design.

Different G-Θ brands are known for different things: some are regarded as simply cheap, but cost-conscious customers, especially those willing and able to their own repairs, often regard them as a bargain or diamond in the rough. Other brands are known for reliability, ruggedness, and/or performance. G-Θ's top of the line road-racing bike, the Gatpatugozhad Model 120e Rocket II, is capable of 410kph using a G-Θ designed and built 180 kW electric motors, just the motorcycle for Ioudaia's speed-hungry drivers.

G-Θ's main factories, one of which has the company's offices, are located in Thaunakie. The company maintains an engine research center and engine plant in Shariyath, its original home.

Alkamenos and Sons Automotive maintains its founder's tradition for excellent premium sports cars. All of their cars feature luxurious interiors made of only the finest materials, butter-smooth transmissions, high-performance engines, and most importantly, heart-pounding acceleration and top speed. All of Alkamenos' facilities are located in Chyrtiros, the heart of Ioudaia's transportation industry.

Smoothride Tire Company is by far Ioudaia's largest tire company. Founded by Eleon ben Yona in 1909, Smoothride is one of the few companies that considers Ioudaia's high-sulfur crude oil an asset, as it provides both of the raw materials for making vulcanized tires, polymers and sulfur, the sulfur being an waste product of refining.

Having a cheap source of raw materials, and a growing local market, Smoothride was able to expand quickly, displacing foreign tire makers, and followed the market into new products as the kinds of motor vehicles grew. By the company's 20th anniversary in 1929, they were known as a reputable maker of tires for cars, heavy trucks, and motorcycles.

Like many Ioudaian companies, Smoothride fell behind foreign competitors a number of times. However, Ioudaia's many road vehicles and continuous demand for tires kept them in business and allowed them multiple second chances. By 1993, they were back in the top tier of Western Isles tire makers, and had expanded to every possible niche market for tires, including bicycles, and all Ioudaian-made aircraft, light and heavy, military and civilian. Smoothride also makes tires for many foreign-made vehicles, and will produce custom-made tires for specific models on request.

Smoothride's headquarters is in Ornemion, as is its research lab. Many facilities are nearby: two factories are located in Thelos, in the petroleum/petrochemical complex, and a testing lab with test track is outside Antrones. Smoothride has a factory for making custom, small-batch aviation tires in Fincarden.

Food

Aigasos Fruit and Nut is one of Ioudaia's largest producers of tree crops. They grow every kind of fruit and nut that Ioudaia's climates will support, even a small amount of citrus fruit in Erythkorlia (mostly oranges, but also lemons and limes). They grow and market fresh fruit and nuts directly to consumers, and sell to other companies, especially Jolly Baker. While their main growing area is along the Aigasos River, they also have orchards in Jolgeh Asvat, Araxia, and Erythkorlia. Their main administrative and marketing offices are in Cypharisseis.

Aloadia-Araxia United Mills – First among equals among Ioudaia's flour millers, A-A United produces almost 15% of Ioudaia's wheat flour and 10% of its barley flour. In addition to their staple flours, they also sell premium flours, including organic wheat and barley flour, almond flour, and buckwheat flour under their Double-A brand. A-A United's largest flour mills are located in Kolos, Itomos, and Shariyath, and their headquarters is in Areme.

Argissa Brewers – one of Ioudaia's largest breweries, producing some of Ioudaia's most popular beers. Their Heirax's Own label produces craft beers as well, mostly distributed in Sympoleis.

Ioudaian Distillers' Association - Ioudaia's hard liquor trade advocacy group. They also help broker large international sales of Ioudaian liquor. Ornemion houses the company's main offices, as Ornemion Merchants' Bank often provides financing for foreign deals.

Jolly Baker is one of Ioudaia's favorite companies. They bake breads, crackers, and cookies under their own label, and provide fresh baked goods for supermarkets. They also sell packaged baking mixes for people who prefer to do their own baking, or adjust recipes to their tastes.

Jolly Baker has many brands, some specialized to individual national markets. They serve middle-class markets and up, and are especially known for their premium cookies. Jolly Baker has a large international presence, with bakeries in many countries. They're also a major player on international commodities markets, buying wheat flour, sugar (never corn syrup!), vegetable oils, and other baking needs in huge quantities. Jolly Baker is run out of Ornemion.

Northern Leopard Vineyards – a mid- to upper-end wine producer, abutting the Leopard Expanse National Park and Preserve in Sarhat Tukidas. They produce a number kinds of grape wines, as their extensive vineyards span the altitudes from the lowest foothills to as high as grapes will grow in the mountains.

Sanglakh Rud Wines is Ioudaia's largest producer of fruit wines, owning multiple orchards and wineries. Ioudaia's fruit wines are traditionally produced in Jolgeh Asvat, but Sanglakh Rud also has operations in Koria and Palmassia.

SE Yaunozhad Dairy – The largest dairying operation in Jolgeh Asvat, and one of the largest in Ioudaia. They not only produce their own goat and cow milk, but they also make a vast range of milk products: liquid milk, powdered milk, shelf-stable ultrapasteurized milk, hard and soft cheeses, ice cream, and dairy desserts, such as cheesecake.

SE Yaunozhad recogized the growing popularity of pizza in Ioudaia early, and sells their own line of pizzas as well. This includes Ioudaian adaptations of the basic pizza, made on both crispy and chewy flatbreads, and including toppings such as buckling meat and almond slices.

SE Yaunozhad's headquarters and main product development laboratory are in Shariyath, its production facilities are concentrated in Jolgeh Asvat and Aloadia, and it maintains market research offices throughout Ioudaia and the Western Isles.

Thallogigas – Ioudaia's largest producer of frozen foods. Thallogigas started selling frozen vegetables in Shariyath in 1948, and has expanded from there. They now sell a huge range of frozen foods under many labels, including microwave entrees and side dishes, prepared meat products such as hamburger patties and breaded chicken breasts, ice cream novelties, and baked goods, especially pies. Jolly Baker supplies the special pie crusts they need for frozen pie. Thallogigas is still headquartered in its home city of Shariyath.

Two Bees Honey and Sugar has grown into one of Ioudaia's largest sweetener companies. They originally started in 1883 as a honey producer, and expanded into sugar importing and refining as Ioudaia became more wealthy during the industrial expansion after the Eastern Seaboard War.

These days, they also sell low-calorie sweeteners, both alternative (stevia) and synthetic (aspartame), and are Ioudaia's sole producer of synthetic sweeteners. On the other hand, they don't deal in high-fructose corn sweetener, as many Ioudaians find the taste unappealing.

Two Bees' main administrative offices are in Areme, and as they have a long-standing relationship with Jolly Baker, they have a small liaison office next to Jolly Baker's main offices in Ornemion.

Itomos Commodity Exchange (ICE)

ICE is Ioudaia's only commodity market, and has been since its founding in 1758. All common industrial and agricultural commodities are traded on ICE's virtual trading floor, even those neither produced nor used in Ioudaia. ICE's electronic trading floor simply became too useful for companies and investors for it to worry about national borders. Virtual market seats are available to qualified companies, and many more individuals and corporations trade through brokers who have a seat.

Commodities traded:

Precious metals: silver, gold, platinum, palladium

Industrial metals: aluminum/aluminum ore, copper, lead, nickel, tin, zinc

Iron, steel, and ferro-alloying metals: iron (new, scrap, and ore), mild steel (new and scrap), steel rebar (by grade), chromium, manganese, vanadium

Energy: coal (by grade), natural gas (at various pipeline terminals, either as gas or liquified, depending on the terminal), crude oil, refined petroleum fuels (by fraction and grade: gasoline, heating oil, kerosene/diesel/turbine fuel, heavy fuels)

Agricultural products (plant): barley, cocoa, coffee, corn, cotton, soybeans, rice, sugar, wheat; plant oils (canola, corn, palm)

Agricultural products (animal): live cattle, feeder cattle, beef; hogs, pork bellies; live sheep, mutton; goats, goat meat; animal hides, wool

Financials: commodity futures, options, and derivatives; large company stock futures, options, and derivatives, both Ioudaian and foreign

History:

When ICE was founded in 1758, it was simply known as the Itomos Market, and it traded only grains and metals. The then-recent completion of Ioudaia's canal system placed Itomos at the center of an extensive trading network, moving grains from producing areas in the Krenet Valley, Jolgeh Asvat, and Aloadia to the rapidly growing cities, and moving metals from producing areas to the industrial centers in and around Shariyath and Chyrtiros.

The development of the steamboat only strengthened Itomos' position, as barge and riverboat traffic expanded in Ioudaia, and the Itomos Market began to trade in a wider variety of goods. The Market's range of goods grew further with the development of the railroad, as Itomos became a railroad hub as well, one of the region's first intermodal transfer points. Commodity futures and options trading became formalized at roughly the same time.

During the 20th century, the Itomos Market began offering trades on international commodities, as increasingly reliable sea travel offered Ioudaia's companies and investors new options for buying and selling goods. This hugely expanded the variety of trades available, as goods no longer ever had to be present in Ioudaia to settle delivery contracts. To reflect this growth, the Market changed its name.

ICE adopted new trading technologies as they became available, from pagers, PDAs, telephone trades, and now finally all-electronic trading. ICE's last open-outcry trading floor closed in 2008. As a fitting coda to the history of open-outcry commodity trading, it traded barley, one of ICE's first goods.

Ornemion Bourse

The Ornemion Bourse is Ioudaia's main stock market, trading in listed large and small company stocks, both foreign and domestic. Large foreign stocks include both those listed on the Bourse and those listed in their home countries. The Bourse also trades in domestic small company stock derivatives, such as futures and options. It also provides seat-holders tools and market-making to set up more sophisticated positions, such as hedges and straddles.

Ioudaia's securities regulations provide potential buyers of Bourse-listed stocks with a wide range of information about companies: detailed financial reports with standardized accounting principles, statements of ownership and management, and disclosure of managerial and directorial compensation. Ioudaia's laws also guarantee shareholders specific guarantees about corporate governance, including shareholder control of compensation ("say on pay") and the ability for groups of shareholders to easily bring issues to vote, even against the wishes of companies' managers and directors.

Ioudaian securities law regards foreign stocks as inherently risky and not suitable for small investors without warnings, disclaimers, and waivers. Consequently, Ioudaian law requires foreign stocks traded in Ioudaia to merely provide annual standardized balance-sheet and cash-flow reports along with annual statements of large owners. Other information about foreign companies, and regulation of foreign companies' corporate governance, is available solely according to the company's home government's laws.

Listed Companies with Trading Symbols:

Gatpatugozhad-Thaunakie Motors (GΘ)

SLAe Systems (SLA)
Smoothride Tire Company (SMOOT)
STKL Neosemi (STKL)
Wilcox-Aeyers Aerospace (WAA)
Zeteomos Dye Works (ZDW)
Zephyr Electronics (ZPHR)

History:

The Ornemion Bourse was founded in 1791, as Ornemion developed into a major trade port, and new companies sprang up in the city. The Bourse was at the time one of several stock exchanges in Ioudaia, as slow intercity communications required buyers and sellers to be in the same place to trade.

This changed with the invention of the telegraph and the growth of Ioudaia's telegraph network. Telegraphy led to competition between cities' stock markets, and with later development of the radiotelegraph and telephone, led to several rounds of market consolidation, as both stock buyers and sellers sought the largest markets to trade on. By 1920, the Ornemion Bourse was the smallest of Ioudaia's Big Three stock exchanges, as it struggled to make inroads as against the regional stockmarkets in the north.

In 1986, the Bourse became the first Ioudaian stock market to list small company stocks, taking advantage of the Ministry of Science and Technology's push to expand the country's technological base to more regions than just Jolgeh Asvat. Previously, small company shares were traded over the counter, and regarded as very risky, even for professional investors. The Bourse brought both market-making to small company stocks and some regulation, increasing liquidity and reducing risk. In 1989, the Six Kings passed further regulation of small stocks, decreasing investor risk further.

After that, the Ornemion Bourse grew quickly, as both professional and individual investors were attracted to the large returns small companies, especially small high-tech companies, could provide. The Bourse shrewdly started offering derivatives of small stocks as soon as the national regulations took effect. This made them the largest market for small companies, which were now being founded or going public quickly. In 2001, the Bourse began to list foreign small-company stocks as well, and Ioudaian investors flocked to them as well.

In 2003, the Bourse merged with the Northeast Stock Exchange, leaving only the Shariyath Stock Market in distant second place. Since then, the Shariyath Stock Exchange has conceded everything but local stocks, with a specialization in the smallest publicly-traded companies.

Ornemion Merchants' Bank

As Ioudaia's leading business bank, Ornemion Merchant's Bank has been providing services for international commerce for hundreds of years. It offers a full range of financial products tailored to the needs of companies doing business overseas.

Financial Services:

Credit services: term loans, lines of credit, import-export financing, business credit cards, corporate bond-issue services including market-making

International payment services: foreign exchange, correspondent accounts, overseas branches, bank drafts, electronic money transfer (both foreign and domestic), escrow services. Onemion Merchant's Bank has agreements with Lakada Bank of Athara magarat to provide correspondent accounts with each other for their respective customers.

Cash-management services: corporate savings and checking accounts, certificates of deposit, money market accounts (both foreign and domestic)

Ornemion Merchants' Bank also operates the Specialty Metals Exchange, trading every metal not listed on the IME, and providing small lots, buying and selling in quantifies between 1kg and 1,000kg, even of IME-listed metals. The Specialty Metals Exchange has a network of warehouses in Ioudaia and in international cities where the Bank has branches. So, the Exchange also provides market-making services out of its own inventory, as well as futures and options on metals it trades in.

History:

Ornemion Merchants' Bank emerged out of a long series of mergers, some predating modern Ioudaia's founding. The earliest documented root has been traced back to the Dalassenos banking family, who were active in southern Ioudaia during the Second Kingdom's Silken Age (1171-92).

The Bank dates its "modern" history from Sarpedon ben Meydad's 1786 discoveries about the winds and currents in the nearby Coronikos Channel and Pasiphaeos Strait. With his analysis in hand, sailing ships could safely reach Kolpos Thelikos (Thelos Bay) and Ornemion's harbor, even in bad weather. Since the Bay is itself sheltered from the weather, Ornemion's overseas trade rapidly grew from then.

The Bank's first international service was providing letters of credit to the city's merchants, allowing them to draw on the Bank's gold and silver without the difficulty and risk of carrying coins or bullion themselves. The Bank then felt it only natural to open overseas branches, each storing some precious metals in its vault in order to speed payments (and of course profit from interest and fees on the letters of credit). They thus provided one of the region's first international payments systems. This quite simply made Ornemion Merchants' Bank filthy rich, and fueled their future expansion.

As international trade become more sophisticated, the Bank offered financial services to match its new needs. Indeed, from 1871 to 1938, their international branches offered coal-trading and bunkering services, to ensure that Ioudaian merchants and shipping lines had the fuel they needed for long voyages.

The Bank's most recent major service expansion was the creation of the Specialty Metals Exchange in 1917, as they discovered that some of their industrial customers were having tremendous difficulties locating alloying metals for the then-new speciality steel market. The SME gradually expanded into more exotic metals at the end of the 20th century.

TAK (Thelos-Averdinas-Kolos) Fish Market

The TAK Fish Market is Ioudaia's newest commodity market, having been founded in 1958 to consolidate the buying and selling of seafood from Ioudaia's large Neleager Sea fishery. By creating a unified market, TAK increased liquidity and offered fishermen and seafood wholesalers and retailers a larger market in which to find counterparties. Initially, trading, seafood availability determination, and price discovery was consolidated via phone lines and teletypes linking the trading floors, but now that's done via a combination of internet services and professional seafood inspectors providing opinions on the day's catch.

Since seafood is the least storable food commodity, TAK largely runs on a cash-and-carry basis, with seafood lots – sometimes even individual large fish of choice species – being auctioned off to buyers in the three cities. However, Ioudaia's sustainable fisheries management laws allow trading of fishing permits, so there is something of a futures and options market, as fishermen, permit brokers, and major seafood customers buy and sell rights to catch specific species. There is even trading of the few "low-take" fishing permits available in Southern Seas Marine Reserve, for fishermen willing to fish under sail, without sonar, and with strict catch and by-catch limits.

TAK also provides sustainable-fishing certification for fish sold at its markets. As consumers are becoming environmentally conscious, TAK's seal of approval creates premium markets for Ioudaia's seafood. TAK's Platinum Seal for low-take-caught tuna and swordfish from the Marine Reserve is especially prized, as few of those fish are ever caught and offered for sale.

Anyone up for having a silk road but on the water with boats with me till the 1890s?

My eyebrow is raised at the unemployment at 2.1 percent. At that point the unemployment is too low and inefficient, which will yield to several economic and social issues such as wage inflation that will outrace natural inflation.

Strange. I guess you could remake them and then put the images on an image-hosting site.
