Give me your ideas and that way you don't have to do any of the work for it but you can say you contributed

Ran into a self described hellenic pagan insisting that it was incredibly disrespectful to call the Greek god rapists online today. It was pretty good, that was like 30 minutes of entertainment

As a general rule of thumb neo pagans tend to be kinda cringe. As for the rapist part... Had he actually read any Hellenic myths?! It's amazing that Zeus wasn't brought up during #metoo

Sorry for lack of activity over the weekend folks. I was just enjoying the nice weather whilst it lasted.

Hey, I was thinking if you could help me. I can't decide what should my country look like - a technocracy or something like mega corporation based country. What do you think would be better?

It was perfect ‘nice weather’ temperature on the weekend, I can’t handle anything over 20 lol

Megacorporate societies are incredibly unrealistic. Nations are typically founded on some principle or founding ideology. For example, Germany was founded on the principles of "being German", to cut a long history of unification short, and the Soviet Union was founded on the basis of being a socialist state. Having a corporation own the entire nation removes these principles that millions have died for. A technocracy is probably a more realistic option. :)

It was 21 where we are - literally was panting. Luckily the temperature dropped to like 14 over the afternoon so it was perfect.

Thanks for advice!

Companies have massive influence in governments yes, but a corporations owning an entire nation outright is implausible.

The series Continuum described a future like this. Also without this series I wouldn't say it is implausible at all though.
It's just a question of governments putting all essential elements of the nation and society up for privatising, after which democratic elections are just a farce as the people have nothing left to vote about.

Sure they might not have been founded on that principle, but as time goes on (especially in the modern age) it's not too unrealistic for corporations to grow larger and larger and assume more and more control (it's hard to argue this isn't happening today). Money talks, after all. No nation is the same as when it was founded

And a corporatocracy isn't specifically a nation that is run by a single corporation, but is instead manipulated and influenced by them to make decisions often for the benefit of the companies instead of the general population. Look how oppressively large Tencent is and how many tendrils they've inserted into countless areas of both China and the world itself. It's not too far fetched to believe it will continue to expand. (even though it's the chinese government in all but name, it's still a corporation controlling a country)

In Norway we have 4 or even 5
110 for ambulance
112 for police
113 for the fire brigade
then there's 120 for maritime emergency and 116117 for anything medical that's non-urgent (puts you in contact with the nearest doctors office, basically)
IC-ly I'm thinking maybe 000 or 999 for Segentova, quick 'n' easy
Please leave it in

Here in Mexico it's 911, but it used to be 060 for local police, 061 for Judicial State Police, 065 Red Cross, 066 National Emergency System, 068 Fire Department, 080 Safety and Emergencies.
So I'm glad they just changed it all to 911.

As for Skandland, I'll probably just set it to 505, which looks kinda similar to SOS, and it would be hard to write on accident.

Fun story, on a family holiday a few years ago in Canada. My then 4-year-old brother managed to grab the phone from my mother's purse and call 911. My mom took notice almost immediately and hung up, but they called us back to scold us.

I am glad this alliance Has grown I hope more monarchs will join too

Cracked open my first batch of kimchi, it's really good, not as spicy as I would have liked despite me dumping in all the fresh and dried hot peppers I had in the house into my food processor. Very garlicky as well which I'm there for. Doesn't taste or smell too overpowering but it's a food I wouldn't bring into work I'd say. I see how it would be great on rice, lots of juice for it to soak up.

Does anyone want to work together on history?

I am starting to wonder why I have not made a league of hangates or something. Then again, anything to do with "unity of hangates" is strongly frowned upon in AM.

How old is the Pact of Kings?
