In an ideal world where everyone could cooperate to share everything equally, communism would be a goal to strive for. But knowing myself, and most humans, a group somewhere would eventually charge a price on the things they are supposed to share, and the system of mutual cooperation would collapse.

And therein lies the fundamental problem of communism as proposed by Karl Marx, it is simply impossible given the tendency for humans to strive for a better situation. This means that the system of mutual cooperation needs to be enforced lest a certain cabal takes advantage of the situation to empower themselves, which then necessitates a government to enforce it, which empowers a certain group of people thus creating a second ‘class’.
Communism is a dream, nothing more. It is as real as a dragon and as achievable as a combustion engine with 100% efficiency. Anyone who claims that it has been successfully implemented are either delusional, or deceitful.

Not so clear cut, the world is not black and white, but a canvas of colours.
Communism, like all utopias, are not inherently evil in a sense, they are merely unachievable given our limitations, and prone to abuse by people who see opportunity in exploiting the inherent weaknesses in the system. Capitalism too has its weaknesses, which is why certain regulations are required to prevent employers or companies from exploiting the system.
