Thank you for the question Mr. Home Secretary

Thanks and one last question, would I need to take 2 oaths because I've entered 2 offices?

Thank you South Waterford and Leria for appointing me Member of Parliament and Attorney General.

I just want to warn everyone if you violate the constitution and the law, I will take you to court!!!!

Gazoo will appreciate that you do that since its two different offices in a different branch, although The Court must recognize that Elmito and American Thanelaw presented their oath of office to both of the offices they are in one post.

Gazoo will like to know why the Home Secretary & Minister of Recruitment, New shizal, suppressed Gazoo's last post in the RMB?

I don't even see where I suppressed your post. If I did I sincerely apologize, it was a mistake.

Conservatives are being suppressed! This is a region-wide conspiracy..

I find this highly offensive, I'd never purposefully suppress political posts.

Yeah, Gazoo thought that too but wanted to double check.

No problem Gazoo understands, mistakes happen, especially when the buttons are so close to each other.

There was a time that many nations were against conservatives views and against Gazoo because of Gazoo's beliefs. That why Gazoo defend passionately the freedom of speech in this great Union because for many month few nations the majority are no longer in this Union try to silence The Great Gazoo of Zetox because Gazoo support and believe in conservatism

It was in the past! Many nations wanted Gazoo out of the Union. They even went to the moderators to have Gazoo banned!

It's ok I was just stirring the pot a little...I'm sure it was an honest mistake. I like this region and it's people

Appointment of the Transitional Government

Members of Parliament:
Leria

American Thanelaw

New shizal

United regions of israel

Effective at 12:00 am EST March 28, 2020 the Government Junta of the UAS is hereby dismissed with my thanks and the transitional government shall immediately come into effect.

HARMAN H. TEASEDALE

Yeah I know its a provisional government or whatever but the Kaiser holds no authority to appoint the Speaker, that should be the duty and responsibility of transitional parliamentarians in their first act as a parliament. Ill probably end up drafting a parliamentary procedure bill (most likely modelled on a highly simplified Erskine May) at some point to clarify that though.

In my view, the British model; 1st act of a new parliament is swearing in of all parliamentarians (for the sake of NS just do it once when you're new and then again for the entire parliament once a year or so), then the election of a speaker (usually the election of the pre-existing speaker is uncontested so its kinda ceremonial), then you look at numbers of MPs and form a government (majority or coalition. Confidence and Supply agreements are also fine as long as they maintain the confidence of 51% of MPs).

Then the PM goes off and appoints their ministers of the crown, and MPs can start frantically drafting legislation. Again ill probably make a simplified voting mechanism compared to Erskine May, but i do want an emphasis on the right of MPs to propose amendments. Under the senate it was either the authors way or the highway, the new parliament should allow a majority of MPs to amend the bill during its passage by proposing an amendment to bill XYZ, before it proceeds (either in amended format or not) to a finale vote on passage. The only issue with that is bills taking longer to pass, but eh we don't pass too much so shouldn't be a major problem imo. And there is no requirement to amend any proposed bill, just the opportunity to.

Also some fancy text like "Be it enacted by the Kaiser's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Commons in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:"

Also being able to reference laws as the Law Name Here Act 2021, rather than just UA6 would be cool. And why just call it the Imperial Parliament when it can be The Right Honourable The Commons of the Imperial Union of the Union of Allied States in Parliament Assembled? Fancy formal names are always fun, even if rarely used... Technically speaking the UK Parliament's is The Right Honourable the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament Assembled... Pretty pog amirite?

Frankly it would be rather nice to refer to each other as The Honourable Member for "x party" or the Honourable Member "nation name" or The Right Honourable Member for ministers (formal and current, though that will probably require an act to create a Privy Council too). My Honourable Friend Leria will have to decide if a Privy Council is of any use...

but as i say, ill probably write something up in easter. As I'm not an MP ill have to scrabble to see who will sponsor it, but I'm sure ill find someone.
