    Union of Soviet Strasserist Republics

Glory to the Soviet People! Glory to The Supreme Chancellor! Glory to the Fatherland!
The Union
It has been now forty years since the foundation of the Soviet Union, now standing all mighty across the continent. And it had been proclaimed that the 40th Anniversary of the Soviet Union would be something long remembered by the worker's across the world, for the most grandeur events wich will span all over August to October to come in St. Petersburg.
Nations or Organizations that are aligned or friendly to the Strasserist Party could be and possibly will be invited beforehand as special guests, otherwise as average expectators. The greatness of this celebration will be unmeasurable, for preparations have begun since December of last year.

Preparations for a final party at the Palace of The Soviets will be arranged as well for Party Members Only alongside special guests brought by said members.

Iron Army
The Iron Army, the nickname for the Armed Forces of The Soviet Union, now stands as one of the biggest and most elite military forces in the whole globe due it's sheer size, technological advancement and tactical ability thanks to and due to its experience on the Russian Civil War and following conflicts on wich the USSR was involved. But problems arise as conflicts between the State Security Agency (SSA) has been given too much power recently, to the point of giving them military battalions for both peace time and war times wich for a police force is absolutely outrageous and imposes a certain level of corruption.

Commanded by now Generalissimo Zhukov, of the Old Guard, who constantly complaints to the Supreme Chancellor about the SSA's activities and way of interfierence in army affairs; to no avail for the Leader's mind is clouded by bigger matters of state leaving Zhukov and Nikita Khrushchev in a state of constant political conflict behind the Leader's back.
One Leader, One Soviet

The Supreme Chancellor of the Soviet Union, founder and leader of the Strasserist Party of the Soviet Union, now standing at a lucky age of 36, Alexander who is also known as the Child of the Revolution who started the fire and fought through blood and sweat to get to the top of it all by the end of it; the most mysterious man in all of the Soviet Union with his Iron Will and meticulous scheming forcing itself for fourty years across the Soviet Union. To some, a light of hope when darkness obscures the most but to others a blood-bathed iron tyrant who will stop at nothing to get what he desires.

But in the end, we will all say, up to our dying days; Long Live Alexander!

A Nation, Reborn

“天命歸華,萬國歡!”

The hesitant applause from the crowd gathered in Beijing that followed the anthem made evident the scars carved deep into the Chinese establishment and the general society. Since 1916, the moment the then-hopeful China plunged into a bottomless pit of civil war and foreign aggression, the people have lost faith in the various regimes that governed their lands - the warlords, the Imperial Japanese, the Communist Party. On that cold October 21st morning, every promise to the people uttered by Fúzōng, the first Emperor of China since Puyi surrendered to the Republic, sounded empty as ever. It only reminded them of the last thirty-three years of false hope and turmoil.

As the nation still lies in ruins, all the people could do was shoot questions at each other that night, usually yielding no answers except for a shrug or a raise of the eyebrow.

1960, Eleven Years Onwards

A stroll through Shanghai would leave you never a dull moment, as every corner you take would bring at least one construction works into sight. The Bund’s façade, an array of 52 western buildings lining the Huangpu River, no longer hides the perennial urban decay that once plagued the city, but a frenzy of renovation and redevelopment. In the midst of the fledging economic boom under the Imperial Government’s watchful eye, this image is true to almost every coastal city, and several major inland cities such as Chongqing.

Though agriculture still remains the dominant industry in Huahsia - and only continually growing due to the introduction of farming machinery, the manufacturing industry, the industry the government currently invests the most in - has taken flight. In certain ways having taken reference from the Union of Soviet Strasserist Republics, industrialisation has swept the country, with factories, power plants and warehouses beginning to spring up in many city outskirts.

Transportation across the vast country is still difficult, which remains by far the largest obstacle Huahsia still faces in her quest for economic miracle. The meagre transportation infrastructure in the country, bombed to ashes during the three-decade long civil wars, are still in dismal condition though the rubble has long been removed. The handful of railways and roads criss-crossing the nation have essentially rendered the deserts of Xinjiang, the steppes of Mongolia, and the ice-capped mountains of Tibet virtually inaccessible. A motorway is still a foreign word to the population, but as the east begins to thrive, the Imperial Government wishes to better connect the country by revamping the tattered transportation infrastructure. Motorways are being planned to reach further west, railways are being renovated, and state-owned airways are actively developing routes to the inland, setting an example for other privately-owned airways which would soon follow suit.

The military of Huahsia is rudimentary at best. Throughout the many conflicts rocking the country, the defeated leaderships have left behind either rusting technology from decades ago, or burnt-out carcasses of what were once tanks and lorries. The Greater Imperium still lacks the technology needed to develop a considerable domestic military industry, and is still confined to regurgitating old Soviet and Japanese designs with occasional mediocre upgrades. The leadership of the Imperial Armed Forces, though confident and optimistic, fully recognise the dire state of Huahsia’s military strength, and is beginning to call for greater support from the government.

Yet, the greatest difficulty Huahsia faces is her isolated role on the world stage. Since 1949, the country has diverted her attention to reconcile the population and boosting the sclerotic economy, neglecting foreign relations with other states. Bordered only by the Soviet Union to the north, the Imperial Government, realising diplomacy’s growing importance to a sustainable economic growth, now wishes to open relations with the rest of the world.

Notwithstanding the many adversities that have faced us over the centuries, the Chinese people are resilient and hardworking. The Mandate of Heaven has finally returned to a rightful leadership, and never again shall we allow it to fall into the hands of those who seek to destroy us and tear us apart.

President Aguinaldo sworn in for second term

The watchful eyes of Lima and the greater Andean citizenry were firmly upon María Aguinaldo early this afternoon as the enterprising stateswoman, fresh out of the 1959 presidential elections in which her Andean People's Party (PPA) won its second consecutive victory since 1954, was formally sworn in for her second term as President of the Andean Federation. As she stood before a jubilant crowd of supporters to take the oath of office, fellow returnee Prime Minister César Moruga and Ms. Aguinaldo's husband Arturo stood dutifully at her side as they visibly steeled themselves for another five long years at the helm of the highest political office in the nation.

The first woman, first leader of a newly-formed party and youngest person overall to ascend to the office of president, Ms. Aguinaldo had already gotten done smashing through several seemingly-insurmountable barriers by the time she first swayed the electorate in the 1954 elections at the age of 35. However, in spite of these recognitions, she has on numerous occasions made clear her dislike of people judging her solely on said merits, deeming them "wholly inconsequential to (her) skills and experience as a politician and irrelevant to her duties as head of state." Nevertheless, budding office-holders nationwide have persisted in using her as an inspiration, particularly college-educated women just finding their footing in the world of politics.

Similarly to her first election campaign launched six years ago, Ms. Aguinaldo took her party to the polls on a platform emphasising the essence of national unity and preservation of traditional Andean familial and cultural norms, ideals she had spent the better part of her five years in office battling fiercely to uphold in the face of an equally stubborn opposition spearheaded by Anthony Espinosa's left-wing Andean Socialist Union party. Whereas the PPA returned to power on a resounding and relatively comfortable majority in last year's elections, in 1954 they had fought bitterly just to maintain the bare minimum majority needed to form a government, resulting in a term racked by opposition stonewalling and bull-rushed policy enforcement. Regardless, their message clearly resonated strongly with the average voter and immediately following the landslide election result on October 22, Prime Minister Moruga voiced his hopes that the subsequent five years would go by far more smoothly.

Time will tell if the high his party has ridden on for the preceding months is destined to last.

Air force reports encouraging on modernisation program

An ambitious initiative launched in 1956 geared towards bringing the technology and doctrines of the Andean Air Force, the aerial warfare branch of the Andean Armed Forces and a historically-neglected area with regards to funding and equipment, has yielded extremely positive results in just under four years of progress. A slew of new trade agreements with friendly nations, particularly Strasserist Russia, has resulted in the replacement of most of the AAF's ageing fleet of fighter planes, some of which have been in service for nearly thirty years, and early jet prototypes with new state-of-the-art designs, many of which were specifically produced as a joint venture between Russian and Andean manufacturers over the course of the previous decade. The famed MiG-15 in particular has become a quick favourite of Andean pilots, with test runs still ongoing as trainees continue to be drilled in the proper handling of these newer models.

Air Force Chief of Staff Julian Navarro, making an official statement at a public military conference in La Paz, took the opportunity to express his optimism at the continued work of the armed forces and the country's strengthened economic and military ties with the USSR.

"In times like these, when the technology and tactics we utilise in the defence of our families, our people and our proud nation are evolving at a faster rate than at any other point in history, the importance of reaching out to our allies and comrades-in-arms in pursuit of the world's next big breakthrough in cutting-edge military arms cannot be overstated. As the wars of the last half-century have served to so brutally teach us, isolation and so-called 'neutrality' mean little when your enemies have everything in their power on the table. May this joint venture and all yet to follow it be a crucial step forward in our never-ending goal of keeping the common folk and the horrors of war firmly on opposing sides of the wall."

Amanecer de una Década

January 14th, 1960

The nation's finest foreign policy minds are in Madrid, preparing to address the Emperor himself on their ideas...

As a new decade dawned upon the Empire, the strategists and advisers were keen to present their opinions to His Majesty. It seemed to them that a time of change had come, and more secretively it seemed to them that the Emperor was not adapting to these changes. The special AAESPI (Audiencia Anual del Emperador Sobre Política Internacional) meeting would occur today in the Emperor's Chamber of Counsel. Waiting nervously outside the tall, elegant doors were top men from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the shadowy OIM, the Policy Board, and the odd Ambassador or General. They were milling in their cliques and flipping through their files. They'd have a lot to tell their Monarch.

The doors opened slightly and the men snapped to attention. A servant was in the gap, heralding the announcement:
"The Emperor will see you now, gentlemen."
In a nervous but orderly manner the men in suits were shown into an extravagant chamber, with golden wall lining and luxury Morrocan carpets. They were directed to two rows of velvet seats, in a "V" formation with the pathway through the middle, leading up two small steps to a throne of gold and purple velvet. In it sat the 53 year-old Emperor Francisco Jose I, dressed in his fully decorated military uniform. He sat casually and regarded his advisors as they entered and sat. He decided it was time to begin the meeting.
"Welcome to the Palace, Gentelmen. I believe we should enter important matters immediately. What's first?" asked the Monarch with indifference. A General piped up first.
"Your Majesty, first is our review of our current military standings, capabilities, and situations. Should I begin, Your Majesty?"
"Very well then, General", replied the Monarch. The military man stood and picked up his files.
"As of this moment, the EGI 1st, 2nd and 4th Armies are currently in Iberia, m'lord. They are at full number, mobilization time at least two weeks for all three. The 1st Army is stationed in Navarra, where the reserves are being keeled off. The 2nd is currently in Basque. As you know, they were engaged last week, with 8 casualties. They are on full alert for anymore insurgent activity in the region, but are currently stationary. The 4th is in Porto following training exercises in Galicia, sir."
Despite wearing a military uniform, the Emperor was not a soldier and disliked peacetime military affairs. He motioned to continue, and the General overviewed the Naval positions and capabilities as well as the ground troops overseas. In terms of "situations", there was the Basque affair and not much else.

Next to talk was the Chief Relations Expert at the Foreign Ministry. He would make his recommendations for the year.
"Sadly sir, our former colony in Andeia is beginning what we believe to be an alignment with the Russians. This may sour our relations, especially on top of the fact they elec-" the man hesitated.
"Go on, Mr. Bardem" said an irritated Emperor.
In a quieter voice, the man replied; "They elected a, uh, women President, m'lord."
The Emperor spat on his expensive floor and scowled. Ungodly, he thought.
"Look what they are without us, ah? Anyway, continue."
The suited man called Bardem hastily returned to his notes.
"We know that the Soviets are supplying them with weaponry and probably have a hand in politics. Trade agreements lead to alliances, which will mean the Soviets expand their influence greatly. I believe we should begin clandestine operations to prevent this in Andeia. Secondly, we should look to strengthen our relations with the Byzantines, and with our former colony, Gwane."
"You mean that African hellhole?" laughed the Emperor.
"Although living conditions are poor, sir, their government aligns with ours. All we need is another domino stacked against the USSR. Byzantium will be even more crucial, due to their proximity."
Everyone in the room knew this meeting would drag on all day. But the idea of relations with Gwane and Byzantium was now in everyone's head...

El Heraldo Imperial

In recent news, today's foreign policy meeting with the Emperor is ongoing, but rumors are following the mid-session adjournment that His Majesty's Government will seek extensive relations with Byzantium, and the African state of Gwane. This is reportedly a result of a recent flow of anti-Soviet sentiment in the Government, and among the people, due to the menacing ideology of Strasserism spreading to our own borders; especially in Basque, where 8 brave troops were killed in a raid by the EAA 6 days ago. According to an adviser, relations are sought with Byzantium and Gwane due to the righteous political standings of both states, one a glorious Empire like our own, and the other a former land of our Empire. Stances may be taken against the Republic of Andeia, too a former colony, which has recently begun to align with the Soviets.

In other news, the Reclamation Day celebrations are coming up across the Empire. Make sure you and your family see the fireworks in Madrid, Lisbon, Seville, Barcelona, Porto, Valencia, Cadiz, Miamio, Havana, Marrakesh, and many more! Also in Madrid, the Reclamation Day military parade is in preparation, with troops and tanks of our mighty 1st Army will be marching down the street in a show of our Empire's power! The Emperor himself will be in attendance. This marks 53 years since the defeat of the Portugues Usurper in Lisbon, a triumph for the divine Habsburg dynasty. Happy Reclamation day, citizens of Iberia.

The Chinese Reach Out

Autarchy works... just not for long

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, having been relatively dormant until this moment, has made a statement today, highlighting the Imperial Government’s wish for “positive, productive relationships with Huahsia’s fellow nations of the world”.

Stressing that the economy will remain confined to the agricultural industry and the burgeoning manufacturing industry, Huahsia’s ongoing economic boom will fizzle out by as soon as the 1970s, as Huahsia will not be able to avail the massive opportunities foreign firms, and in the future, foreign labour will provide in the increasingly open and interwoven world economy. The many large pools of cheap labour available in the country should provide foreign corporations with low-cost and efficient production stages, not only providing a plethora of employment opportunities to the population but also assisting in the nation’s aspirations for continued industrialisation. Local enterprises would also garner financial support from foreign investors, all being precious income sources the country will find extremely useful while rebuilding the tattered nation.

New Guns

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also pointed out the benefits the Imperial Armed Forces will reap with increased interaction with the rest of the globe. As Andeia has expressed her wish to cooperate with the Soviet Union in arms procurement, offering her an opportunity to revamp her military, we believe doing the same will provide the IAF with plenty of modernised equipment to replace our current, less competitive older designs.

Brothers Reunited?

In particular, Prime Minister Yang Shaoqi in a recent speech has pointed out Strasserist Russia’s long-standing relationship with the Chinese people, ever since the early days of the Republic of China. He has stated the two seek the same goals - self-determination and national strength, free from the interference of foreign powers, and the Soviet Union has achieved that over the course of merely forty years. He is confident that though China has just been plagued by a 3-decade-long civil war, the Chinese people will be able to do exactly the same and return China to her golden age in the same amount of time. He applauds both the Chinese and the Soviet people for their “unwavering diligence and patriotism”, proclaiming that “victory shall soon be at hand” as Huahsia finally opens her doors to the outside.

The White Chorus

On National News today, the White Chorus of the Iron Army will be performing for two months across the Union performing in excellency the best military marches, folk songs and play the most beautiful and epic from across the entire Union, from the past and for the future.

Tickets for international diplomats and foreign Strasserist have been permitted to be sold for the concerts at Moscow, Petersburg, Strassergrad and Tanu Tuva, these having the biggest auditoriums inside their beautiful theaters.

New Guns, Better Guns, Soviet Guns!

An agriculturaland arms deal have been proposed forth to the Andeia and Huahsia by the Soviet Ministry of Export and Trade and The Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and support, this being aproved by The Soviet Ministry of National Economy and the Bank Federation.

This deal would offer some slightly more advanced equipment and blueprints alongside major agricultural products to be sold to the Andeian and Huashian goverments and military respectfully more easier, as well as opening their borders nearly wide open to the Soviet Union and so the soviets will open theirs to them to permit their merchants and our traders to continue on this economical project of ours.

It was stated that this deal was quite negotiable by both goverments with the Soviet Union.

Palace of The Soviets
Due Prime Minister Yang's speech regarding the Soviet Union, the soviet leadership and people have begun to increase their opinion on him and his current goverment with outstanding aproval.

Our friends to the South, allies of the East and one of the most ancient and greatest cultures of human history have humbled us, we declare their leadership honorary soviets in their hearts; for boldness and kindness alongside intelligence and wisdom is something we lack yet we need and that is something they as well as us show through patience and humility.

Like the glorious Andeian people, breaking through chains of social obligations stated upon them by Old Masters and Foolish Men whose greed's mark upon this earth is yet to be healed away. Wise and Honourable are the Andeian people, who against the odds stand up in valour and virtue like us for the sake of all for who we care for the most.

The clear differences between these nations and us lie not in knowledge, technology, or culture, but in their views on life and death as a whole, and if we look in then perhaps we are not as far as we thought we are.

Wounds Healing

Prime Minister Yang has proclaimed that this is a new chapter of Sino-Russian relationships, leaving our historical enmities during the Century of Humiliation behind and welcoming a renewed kinship between the two peoples - something he endorses as “the only right thing to do in this increasingly polarised world”.

In order to facilitate the future transportation between the two countries, Parliament today has passed a bill allocating billions of Imperial Yuan to repairing land transportation infrastructure connecting Huahsia and the Soviet Union. In particular, railways such as the Trans-Mongolian Railway and the Chinese Eastern Railway will be focused upon, as they connect directly to the Trans-Siberian Railway which spans the entirety of the vast Russian nation.

Existing airports in major cities such as the capital city of Beijing, as well as others of the likes of Nanjing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, will also be restored and renewed to modern-day standards to facilitate the increasingly-important air travel, a means we believe will become the dominant means of long-distance travel. New airports are also being planned across the country, but they will be built only in the future as time passes.

Business

The Imperial Government is delighted to hear the positive response from the Soviet Union regarding military procurement.

Though our economy is beginning to evolve, we are at heart still an agricultural nation. In return for the advanced equipment, both military and agricultural, that the Soviet Union offers, we are more than happy to begin exporting our agricultural produce, including grains, vegetables and fruits to your nation.

We are also confident that our growing manufacturing industry will also promise opportunities for future commerce with not just the Soviet Union, but the rest of the globalised world.

Making it Official

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has proposed the preparation of an embassy from the Soviet Union in the heart of Beijing, along with it a telephone hotline that will ease communications with your nation should the need arise. If your nation accepts the offer, we are also looking to establish an embassy within your nation. The same offer will go out to Andeia, a fellow nation in alliance with the Soviet Union.

Together our three people will march into a brighter tomorrow, leaving behind our lamentable past of warfare, indignation and foreign exploitation.

The Iron Republic of Opal!(I'm running on fumes so forgive mistakes or vagueness please)

The Iron Republic of Opal finds itself in its precarious situation after removing itself from isolation. Gakurai Mazak united the nation under the Iron Parties socialist ideologies leaving it partly isolated in the diplomatic stage. Now Gato Ishraki seeks to change the Opallin Republic, less socialism and more government controlled capitalism. He seeks to bring more jobs into the Opallin stage whether it be government or individual corporations.

To solve the issue of jobs Gato seeks investments into building multiple stable bridges between the islands of the nation. He's begun forming an engineering team to create bullet and cargo trains between the islands and the mainland and to create a significant amount of commercial bridges to increase transit between the islands and the mainland. One problem that is facing Opal in this idea is the blank space between the islands. To solve this Gato plans to build inter-mission islands where people can make stops for fuel, food or fun. This plan will also help keep more control over the islands instead of having to dedicate the navy into an emergency police force for the Republic. Now the police can travel in between and the military no longer has to rely on the navy or airforce for menile transport.

On the other hand Gato intends to completely focus the attention on economy. He intends to release the entire nation into a capitalist-like economy, however he is doing this slowly. He's opening up his cities to international trade and is planning on exporting mass amounts of cheap goods from the vast sweatshops that Opal totally doesn't have. The plan to expand its economy however will need inspirational propaganda and the control over all news in the Republic will make that feat easy. Emphasizing national purity, pride in struggle and making it seem the below average is the above average will bring them one-step closer to economoc growth.

Gato does not intend to be a benevolent person compared to his predecessor. He is tightening control over Opal and intends to bring it to a police state. He has completely banned support for democracy and fascism and is silencing critics of the government with lethal force if necessary. He has also begun expanding the military, focusing less on the navy and more on the airforce and army, balancing their budgets. He also feels threatened from the Chinese state just north and plans to militarized the border between them with air bases and frontline forces in case China desires to end the claim on their territories. This new militarization will protect their borders if attempt at diplomacy goes south.

New Friends:

Gato knows that he cannot be alone on the stage and has now taken interest in renewing relations with its neighbors, particularly the Soviet Union(Dumbledorius) and China(Huahsia). Gakurai has already supported the Soviet regime in the past but Gato intends to renew that support to gain merit on the world stage. With China however, he wants to keep them as friends rather than enemies in times of nuclear weapons and knows that the best prevention is diplomacy and negotiation. So therefore, Gato Ishraki extends his hand and has officially requested individual meetings be held between him and China, and him and the Soviet Union.

(Again really sorry if there are any typos or mistakes, I'm tired)
