You'll get a message something like, "The nation, @@Name@@, has ceased to exist. Would you like to restore it?" Enter the password in the labelled box and click the Restore button to the right. If you can't remember the password hopefully you registered an email address when you created it because the game will then send a temporary password to that email address.

Glad to see you've found your former flag, too.

Nah I'm saying it used to be someone else's nation but it CTE'd 18 years ago. Was wondering if you knew who to ask about taking the name considering it's highly unlikely the original owner is coming back to it.

Then you have to go to

page=boneyard

Enter the name in the search box and click on the Search button to the right. The game will tell you if you are allowed to use the name and when it will become available for reuse. I have this vague recollection that if the nation had a population of over 500 million the name can't be reused but this may have changed since a lot of players complained that this was too low.

If you are in love with the name you can use a misspelling or precede it by "The"

Yeah righto thanks

I feel like if the nation hasn't been visited for over 17 years it should be made available haha

So do many other people but such is life in NS. That's why my name's misspelled even tho' Rwanda hasn't been around for almost 16 years. What totally pissed me off is that a couple of years ago NS released a bunch of really good names, 99.99% of which were snapped by players who had fast internet connections. So they took the names and then let the nations die after about a year which guaranteed the names could never be used again and yet, they weren't willing to keep the nations alive.

Yeah, I wonder if there was a better system...it'd be interesting the percentage of players who come back to their nations after 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, 15 years.

Japan's COVID-19 infections are up to 159 (excluding the ones from the cruise ship) and seem to be spread throughout the country. South Korea reported 763 infected, adding that their health care system was at the breaking point; and who knows what's happening in the DPRK.

Iran is reporting 43 infected and 12 dead -- the highest number of fatalities outside of China and also says that it cannot trace all the causes of infections meaning they don't have a clue as to how some of their citizens were infected.

Imperial Eden wrote:Hey does anyone know how I would go about founding a nation that used to exist or how to get in contact with mods who could help me? The nation in question CTE 18 years ago and only had 700 million people. I'd just like to use the same name.

18 years ago? Jeeeeez. Crazy to think that NS has been around that long.

Must have been one of the original nations since the game started in Nov 2002.

S**t. So he goes to the news conference and spreads it there including to the poor soul standing next to him in the news video. My guess is the figures from Qom and the Mehr News agency are more accurate. Scary. Maybe the news headlines should be altered to read, COVID-19 coming to a person near you.

Space X has launched the first of what could be 40,000 low orbit satellites. How do you think this many pieces of orbiting flotsam is going to affect what we see in the night sky not to mention major rocket launches?

Do you think this should be allowed?

No.

With lower space filled with Space X satellites and our lower atmosphere filled with Amazon delivery drones, be sure to enjoy seeing the clouds and the stars while you can, folks. lol

I think it will make lower space collisions more probable so it's a bad idea. There's already a lot of junk floating around up there.

Anyone have opinions on Turkey's decision to stop preventing refugees from trying to travel to the rest of the EU? Do you think the move will pressure the EU into offering Turkey more support in dealing with the fallout from the Syrian war?

I think the EU is exhausted by the constant flow of migrants from the countries to their south and east.

Yes. And now they're level 2. Interesting times. Hoping all of you are virus free.

According to cdc.gov most of the EU is now level 3. Gawd.

🍺🍀 Happy St. Pat's! 🍺🍀

Greetings to all! :)
