Dear God,
We remember today, the pain and suffering of the cross, and all that Jesus was willing to endure, so we could be set free. He paid the price, such a great sacrifice, to offer us the gift of eternal life.
Lord, help us never to take for granted this huge gift of love. Help us to be reminded of the cost of it all. Forgive us for being too busy, or distracted by other things, for not fully recognizing what You have freely given, what You have done for us.
Thank You, Lord, that by Your wounds we are healed. Thank You that because of Your huge sacrifice, we can live free. Sin and death have been conquered and Your Power is everlasting.
Thank You that we can say with assurance, “It is finished…” Death has lost its sting. We praise You for making all things new.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We bring good news and joy unto you.
He is Risen. He is Risen indeed.
With every blessing and through the Risen Christ. Amen.
John Peter
FATHER GOD, on this sunrise we remember.
We remember the sacrifice, the agony, all so that we may have a path unto you. Jesus gave it all, and all to him we owe.
He conquered death so that we all may live!
Amen and Amen!
On this day, he is RISEN!
Welcome back everyone!!
Rejoice!
I feel like I've been in prison.
Excuse me. Why am I ranked last (again) in this region for "nicest citizens?"
I told you, Christmas cards are wishing tidings of good cheer, not threatening them.
Loving God,
as a mother gives life and nourishment to her children,
so you give life and care for your Church.
Bless these women, as we celebrate this day in their honor.
May they be strengthened as Christian mothers.
Let the example of their faith and love shine forth.
Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor and appreciate themwith a spirit of profound respect.
May the example of Mary, mother of Jesus, inspire them to live their vocation as Christian mothers and call their children to faith. Guide and protect them in challenging times and help them to continue to trust in you all the days of their life.
Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Gracious God,
On this Memorial Day, we pray for those who courageously laid
down their lives for the cause of freedom. May the examples
of their sacrifice inspire in us the selfless love of Your Son, our
Lord Jesus Christ. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill
their homes and their lives with Your strength and peace.
In union with people of goodwill of every nation, embolden us
to answer the call to work for peace and justice, and thus, seek
an end to violence and conflict around the globe. We ask this
through your name.
Amen.
Happy Sunday to you all!!
What's new everyone? Any blessings to share?
I would like to share a prayer for fathers on this Father's Day.
Heavenly Father,
You entrusted Your Son Jesus, the child of Mary, to the care of Joseph, His foster father. Bless all fathers and grandfathers as they care for their families. Give them strength and wisdom, tenderness and patience, give them ability to love in a way that reflects Your love.
Amen.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for being with President Trump last night
Guide our hearts toward gratitude today and every day.
Amen.
Oh Heavenly and Gracious Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thank You for this beautiful and glorious Sunday morning You have created for me today.
For this day, I praise and honor Your name.
This is the day that you have made, I will rejoice and be glad for all that You have in store for me.
Amen.
Heavenly Father,
We pause to seek Your guidance and grace.
Bless us with wisdom and strength to navigate the challenges ahead.
May Your light guide our steps and Your love fill our hearts.
Help us to reflect Your kindness and compassion in all we do.
Amen.
Good day! May the Lord bless this day unto you!
May the Lord bless you, too!
Today we celebrate the birthday of Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Mother.
Impart to your servants, we pray, O Lord, the gift of heavenly grace, that the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin may bring deeper peace to those for whom the birth of her Son was the dawning of salvation.
Amen
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.
The prayer of Saint Francis. A favorite, thank you.
How do you pronounce "synod?" I always pronounced it "SIN-ahd" but I had never actually heard it spoken. Recently I heard it pronounce "SIN-id" by a priest. Any thoughts?
That is interesting. I pronounce it like you.
I always called her Sinead myself! Lol
May God bless and keep each of you on this first Sunday of October!
