Official statement – fight in parliament
~ Office of the Prime Minister
Prime Minister Nichola Pankhurst MP and her Cabinet colleagues are very concerned about the recent fight in the Lower House of Parliament. The Government’s undertaking is that a Member from Modern Equality was provoked on purpose by The Militia to make him look bad, however, this strategy backfired as it was him who was initially assaulted.
Any fight in Parliament is utterly unacceptable, however, as a socialist Government, we must not look away from the fact that extreme right-winged fascists initiated this uproar. The fact that they are willing to use violence to get whatever they want, leads this Government to believe that they no longer deserve a place in our democratic society.
Therefore, the Prime Minister has instructed the Secretaries of State for Judicial Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Culture, to look for whatever powers they may have to make The Militia cease their violent actions at once. A prosecution will also follow against Mr Oswald Mosely MP and his party.
Further statements will be published as more information is available.
