East supple lund

As East supple lund consolidates its power over its newly acquired territories, integration is proceeding at various rates. The Supple Canal Zone, Frozone District and Krab District have always had a strong East supple lundian influence, thus, they were all able to re-integrate back into ESL with minimal effort. In WSL however, their is a much different story.

The area south of the Canal Zone has begrudgingly accepted ESL ownership, although tensions remain high. Integration is expected to take far longer than the rest of the other districts, as ESL law, culture and way of life slowly permeates back in WSL society. North of the canal zone, the scene is a frightful one. ESL soldiers never left their positions after the last uprising, and had seized key military installation even before hostilities began.

Once WSL fell part, ESL immediately renounced its offer to Emmerquet and revoked its special status, eliminating its autonomy. ESL special forces and Lizard Sqaud! moved quickly to arrest key members of the Emmerquet government, and has succeeded in captruing most of the senior government, although it appears former President Dakota James has eluded capture yet again. Despite an incredibly generous offer of a full and unconditional pardon, Emmerquetis have been leaving the region in droves. ESL speculates up to a million may have become displaced, and are now actively becoming refugees.

As it becomes more and more apparent, at least unofficially, that the Emmerquetis are no longer welcome, ESL has requested other nations take them in, first asking its allies Puczovska, Confederation of Independent Colonies, The Austro Germanic Union and 5 Kingdoms of Britannia to take in as many of the refugees as they are able to, and that they will repay their kindness later down the line.

Meanwhile, as the election cycle approaches, Acting Prime Memeister Donald Doolie looks to retain his grip on power, although the monetary costs of the war has seen his popularity drastically decline. Opposition leader Elwin Moose has pledged to put an end to the hostilities and re-balance the budget if he is elected, while also promising to keep ESL an open minded and tolerant nation. Only time will tell whether it is nationalistic or cosmopolitanism rhetoric that wins the day...
