Kaito sighed, but gave a nod in understanding. He continued to get dressed as he responded, "I wish I could say that there is no reason to worry, but that would be a lie. I am quite worried myself, and with everything that is happening as of late I am sure that our safety is far from assured. But that is why it is best to be proactive, so we do not get caught off guard again. That is the best way to assure the safety of ourselves and Sumire."

Taltoro looked over his equipment, clearly finding the layout odd but interesting, "Three blades? I can understand the point of a backup, never good to rely on merely one weapon for a task. However three is quite a bit, and they seem to have different purposes too. However could you not drop one blade to make room for a shield? Would be more useful when fighting in a true battle, arrows flying! All the same, this foreign style would be good to know. Elements of it may yet translate to proper Eversteenian techniques. And I can point out any weaknesses I see." He then looked back to the captured bandits, who the soldiers were keeping an eye on as they searched for the horseshoes. Taltoro sighed and gave a nod, "I suppose you did, and it would be pointless to besmirch your good word in this instance. We'll seize their weapons and confiscate their stolen goods, but then we can send them back. They are likely to simply become brigands again, as I doubt they have the capacity to return to their lives as peasants, but maybe they'll learn now that their lives are quite at risk in this line of work."
